Fab Freebie: Seasons’ Greetings

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Yes, I know it looks like I have a misplaced apostrophe up there, but trust me on this one. This week’s prize will have one of you sending handwritten greetings across all seasons of the year (see, I’m looking less punctuationally deviant already).

Shout Out Emmy Lu

As you may recall from Friday’s thank-you-to-our-sponsors post, Emmy Lu Design Studio is an awesome source for beautiful custom stationery with a DIY twist. Once you pick the style and fill in the custom details (whether it be a holiday card, personal stationery, an invitation or even a baby announcement) Emmy Lu hooks you up with a ready-to-print PDF. That means you can print as many as you want (whether you need five or five million), on any paper you want (bargain or mega-fancy-pants), for as long as you want (the file’s yours for eternity). Kinda genius, no?

Emmylu Giveaway

And since it’s nearly impossible to pick your favorite design, this week’s winner is getting a year’s worth of them! That means a new card/invite/announcement of the winner’s choosing for every month of the year (which loosely translates to 12 excuses to throw a party, pen a thank you note or even write your mom a letter for crying out loud).

So here’s how you can get your hands on these greetings by the dozen:

  • PRIZE: One custom Emmy Lu design per month (of $50 or less) for an entire year (that’s up to a $600 value!)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “EMMY ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us what you do to send seasonal greetings. Do you pose for a traditional family Christmas card? Or something quirkier (like photoshopping your chihuahua)? Maybe you abstain from the madness completely?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 9th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I haven’t sent Christmas cards in probably 10 years. I do however, generally send out Valentine’s – they’re less expected, and there’s tons of cute stuff out there to DIY.

My husband & I usually send our Christmas greetings & photos via email. Now that we have a baby however, we are thinking of doing something a little more…memorable? Still don*t know what! :)

Emmy me! We send out Holiday cards. I have to say I hate the family photo cardsthat are sent out. Rarely are they even signed and I think they are really impersonal. I like the idea of a family photo, but I wish more people would take the time to sign them. Maybe make it feel like less of a mass mailing.

I normally just send a card I bought somewhere, but this year since it’s the first year I’m married I’m going to send a picture of my husband and I that I took earlier this year. I’m thinking of the Halloween picture where we look like aliens. I think our families will understand! :)

I have great hopes of getting out Christmas cards this year. After all, we just got married and I have all the addresses organized into a nice little excel spreadsheet! But seeing as it’s now 12/7 I better get on it. Maybe I’ll check out Emmy Lu…

This year we are sending out a christmas card that has pictures of some of the most exciting things that happened to us this year…our first wedding anniversary, our first home, etc. We also put in a little note with an annual update/summary that gives more explanation to the pictures.

We’re dog-centric at our house. We always do something cute on our holiday cards with our french bulldog. This year it’s a silhouette drawing with snow flakes in green and white.

    “EMMY ME”

This is the first year in awhile that I am sending out photo Christmas cards. My boyfriend and I are going to take pictures in the horrible 80’s sweater to make into Christmas cards and send them on there way.

No I haven’t taken the photo yet.. this is my procrastination coming out! =(

Since we’ve been married, we’ve done a “family photo” Christmas card with our dogs in it – they are always dressed for the holidays in Christmas sweaters or something else adorable. This year our chihuahua is wearing a Santa hat and beard and our pit mix is a reindeer. So cute!

Oooh this giveaway is AWESOME!!! I don’t really have the need for any of this, but I sure would find it if I won! I don’t sent to many people because I’m just a lowly college student, but I do write out Christmas cards (cheap ones in bulk) to all of my friends and family.

EMMY ME! We hand-write notes all the time (I love receiving them, so I figure others might like getting them)! For the holidays, since my husband and I are newlyweds, we opted for the picture card. We went with traditional this year, though I’ve been known to do a sillier picture in years past.

Whatever we end up doing for holiday cards, they have to be non-denominational and have some sort of recycled content.
