For years now, one of our favorite places to score awesome fabric on a budget has been a local shop called U-Fab (also run by a young married duo!). Everything from our headboard to our old dining room curtains to the backdrop we used for last week’s pregnancy announcement has hailed from there. And now that they’ve launched an e-shop, we’re excited to do a giveaway with them. And not just any giveaway – a $500 gift card giveaway! So, you can either stock up on fabrics… or take their custom upholstery services for a spin (they do bedding, pillows, window treatments, and even furniture). Plus, they’re all-around nice, fun-loving people.
Please use the Rafflecopter widget below to enter (it might take a second to load, but it should eventually pop up below this paragraph). This giveaways is available to residents of the United States (although we do have an international giveaway lined up for next week). Oh and U-Fab is also offering $1 fabric samples (they’re usually $2.50) with the code ufabhouselove through October 31st!

Hooray for U-Fab!! So glad they launched their online store since we don’t live in RVA anymore and can’t just run down there to browse. Thanks for the giveaway!
Ashby says
I LURV me some U-Fab! Hope I win!!
Katharine says
This is fantastic! I went to the store in C’ville when I was on the hunt for fabric for our wedding napkins, and they had some super sweet designs.
Ali Burtt says
Love U-Fab! I’ve only been a couple of times when we were in the area, but it’s so exciting that they now have a shoppable website! I really hope they do well with it–such nice folks.
Carol says
Thanks for making your giveaways so easy to enter!
Jes says
This is great! I’m in DC and I’m planning to drive to U-Fab after I move into my new place since you guys give it such high marks.
Jenna says
Love this! I would give this freebie away to my mom who loves fabrics and can sew just about anything. She’s made me some great aprons in the past and I can picture some of the fabrics above turning into that!
Nicole says
This would be great for the pair of living room chairs I need to reupholster!
Pat S says
Boy, would I ever love to win this one!! I’m going to have to check out the fabric samples for sure.
Carley From @UFabStore says
We are so excited to be the fab freebie! If anyone has any questions about any of our fabrics or the website, please shoot them my way.
Tammy says
I have two parsons chair that need recovering, this might be just the ticket!
Lisa says
Wow! What a great prize. Not that I need another $500 worth of fabric… It looks like a great place.
Leah says
I love ufab! Heading to the Cville one this afternoon!
deb says
I’ve got a chair I’d love to get fabric for!
Jen says
So…I am confused about rafflecopter. If it says that “1/1 entries earned,” what does that mean? It is “0/1 entries earned” before I enter a contest…
YoungHouseLove says
The way we do our giveaways is that everyone has 1 chance to enter, so you have fulfilled 0 of those 1 chances before you enter, and then you have fulfilled the entire entry chance after you enter (so it says 1/1). That way everyone has the same chances of winning! Good luck Jen!

OOO! You guys always have awesome fabric so I can’t WAIT to look at the store online.
This is the perfect time to re-upholster my chair! I just need you guys to do it first and put together one of your awesome tutorials.
Lulu says
Delicious!!!
Gillianne says
Curtains! We have a glorious 10-ft (!) picture window, but omg, the price of curtains for such a span. I stitched together cheap curtain panels of basic off-white cotton. They give us privacy but zero style.
Samantha says
Great giveaway! I LOVE the way you do giveaways now. So so easy! Thanks for hosting!
Kelly H. says
Ditto! I also love that you don’t do all the extra entries by tweeting and whatever. Simpler is better!
Jackie says
So exciting! I live in Nova and head over to U-Fab whenever I can find an excuse to go to RVA. I’m checking out the online store now!
Allyn says
uFab is FABULOUS! Love their Richmond store and their new “outlet” location! This is one giveaway that I really really really hope I win!
Janet says
I have two chairs just screaming for new fabric! Love your blog!

Gorgeous fabrics! Thank you for sharing this company with us! I have a wingback chair that’s ready for (yet another) makeover. :)

I just have to say…Its so nice to be able to click the button and be entered in the raffle. So easy. And I’m so glad you guys are not doing the Follow me on twitter/facebook/instagram ransom entries. I click. I’m entered. I’m done.
Good work guys!

PICK ME! PICK ME! Love UFab! Discovered them this summer and scored some major deals on fabrics for several projects around the house. GREAT store!
Amy says
I’m feeling lucky!
Karen says
Quick question…what is the name of the print you used in the announcement post? I thought it was the same one that I had my eye on over at Tonic Living, but it’s slightly different…and I like it better. But I cannot find it on the new Ufab site. Thanks so much!!
YoungHouseLove says
It’s by Braemore and it’s called Pomegranite. I just searched it by name and pulled it up on ebay but I’m not sure it’s on U-Fab’s site (maybe it’s coming? or it’s gone?)

Travis Hamilton says
Karen,
This fabric has actually been discontinued by Braemore for a while, however since John and Sherry used it we have gotten a number of requests we got the last bolt from one of our closeout suppliers so we have 20ish yards that is on it’s way. I don’t think you can order it online yet but here is the link: http://www.ufabstore.com/pome-leaf.html#.UlNsCFCUT0c
If call or email us and we will be more than happy to reserve some for you, we don’t expect it will last very long.
Travis

I can’t tell you how happy I am that they launched a website!! They reupholstered a chair for me when I lived in Cville and I miss scouring their shop! So excited!!
Holli says
Hooray for UFab! I’ve been a few times after hearing such good things from you guys and I’m itching to get back. I’m moving from NOVA to RVA soon so I’m sure I could find something to spend it on:)

I was looking at the google ads website and your website was featured on one of the how to videos. You probably already know this, but if not…

I can always use some more fabric!
Christine says
I was just thinking about how jealous I was that you guys have such a great place like U-Fab right near you when I saw the fabric you used in your big announcement post. So glad to hear they’ve opened an online store!
Michelle @ A Healthy Mrs says
Their fabrics look gorgeous!
I so wish that we Canadians were eligible to enter (but I totally understand why we can’t!) because I could do a lot of damage with $500 on their website!
Thanks for hosting these awesome giveaways!
Travis Hamilton says
Michelle,
The ironic part of the contest not being open to Canadians is that I myself the owner of U-Fab am a born and raised Canadian (in fact my entire family is still there). We looked at adding Canada for the site (and still might eventually) however the cost and complication on both our side and the consumers side is just too much right now.
Sorry,
Travis
Marcie says
I’m so excited that U-Fab has launched an e-store! I can’t wait to check it out.

I have a giveaway question. I live in Canada, just over the Washington state border in British Columbia. I have a mailing address (not a PO Box) in the United States that I use for some of my mail and packages. Am I eligible for the United States giveaways? My thought was that perhaps the issue for the businesses offering these prizes was one of mailing cost and not actual residency. If you could let me know I’d appreciate it…thanks!
YoungHouseLove says
Yes! As long as there’s a US address for the company to mail your prize, you’re good!

I am OBSESSED with fabric. I’m on a very tight budget so I’ll say “sss…better not” to a $3 purchase but put me in front of a $15/yard fabric I really, really want and I find a way to justify it! I was planning on making purses for Christmas gifts for the ladies this year and this would be an awesome way to get started on that. : )
Karen J says
Wow, not sure which way I would use this if I won but I can assure you that I would use it. Generous give away!
Taylor says
I have my great-grandfather’s wing back chair from 1909. In mustard yellow tapestry. A reupholstery job would be fab indeed!
Emily o. says
Omg, there is a lot of amazing fabric to buy with that amount of money!!
cheryl says
I just bought a MCM dining room table and chairs. However the chair cushions need to be reupholstered and this would be perfect!
Miki says
U-Fab is my favorite fabric store! Awesome prices, and fabulous upholstery work. We had my great-grandmother’s antique dining chairs with nail heads re-upholstered in a more modern fabric by U-Fab and they couldn’t have done a better job. I made my daughter’s curtains from a fabric I purchased there, and even though it wasn’t the most budget friendly fabric, I still saved quite a bit off of what I would have paid at another retail store. Maybe I’ll win my second YHL giveaway (my first was an awesome FLOR carpet) and invest in one of the new furniture items!
Suzanne says
Did you guys help with the site design??
It’s super cute and totally like the style. Especially the color search using the fabric swatches. :)
YoungHouseLove says
We had nothing to do with it but we’re big fans of it too!

We went to Garden Ridge for the first time this past Sunday and I happened to look over and see U-Fab across the street. We didn’t go in but all I could think was, Yay! it’s right on our way home from church… maybe that’s not such a good thing.
