Fab Freebie: A Cultivated Kitchen

Sorry for the hit-and-miss quiz taking y’all. Apparently you guys enjoy a good quiz as much as we do! Anyways, the lucky (random) winner this week is… Kate Bateman (who was able to get a quiz result and said her “Traditional” diagnosis was almost spot on). Congrats!

I bet most of you guys spent a fair amount of time in the kitchen over the last few days, and if it had you yearning to make some changes in there, you’ve stumbled onto the right giveaway. The folks behind some of our favorite stores (West Elm, Williams-Sonoma, and Pottery Barn) have a sister site chock full of kitchen inspiration called Cultivate. In addition to photo galleries, expert advice, and a blog, they’ve also got one of our favorite ways to kill a few minutes: a Find Your Style quiz. Just pick your favorite between 10 pairs of photos and get ready for your diagnosis. And to help you put your kitchen prescription into action, they’re giving one of you a $200 gift card to use at Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, or West Elm. Sweet. Update: We hear the quiz is still running very slowly/crashing. Looks like Cultivate wasn’t quite ready for all of you quiz-loving folks. So sorry about that, guys!

    CULTIVATE ME! I couldn’t get into the quiz, but of the photos above, the bottom right one is my favorite. I fall kind of in the middle in terms of design…but lean more toward traditional and warm colors…not much white in my house..just the trim! Lots of golds, browns, reds and oranges though. :)

    CULTIVATE ME! Their website isn’t working too great (I guess too many people on there). I love a mixture of styles, though, so it’s really hard to pinpoint one right now. :)

    The quiz was working when I started it, but sadly it stopped working part way through. I’m curious to see what my results will be once I get a chance to take it again!

    Got about 1/2 way through before it died…can’t wait to finish the test…we are doing some renovations and it would be cool to see if I am on track!

    CULTIVATE ME! I like the middle one on the right! Probably more of a country meets traditional style. I do like white though!

    Cultivate Me! I took the quiz a couple of days ago and I don’t remember exactly what it said my style was, but I thought it was a little off. I prefer a more transitional style, and I think it said I was traditional or something like that.

    Cultivate me!

    I am guessing the quiz will say I am “contemporary” or “transitional,” which is tricky with my house with all its tiffany lights. Perhaps I need to go “art deco”.

    Cultivate Me! I got modern, which seems a bit off … I think I’m more of a transitional gal. But I do love quality mid-century stuff!
