Fab Freebie: A Cultivated Kitchen

Sorry for the hit-and-miss quiz taking y’all. Apparently you guys enjoy a good quiz as much as we do! Anyways, the lucky (random) winner this week is… Kate Bateman (who was able to get a quiz result and said her “Traditional” diagnosis was almost spot on). Congrats!

I bet most of you guys spent a fair amount of time in the kitchen over the last few days, and if it had you yearning to make some changes in there, you’ve stumbled onto the right giveaway. The folks behind some of our favorite stores (West Elm, Williams-Sonoma, and Pottery Barn) have a sister site chock full of kitchen inspiration called Cultivate. In addition to photo galleries, expert advice, and a blog, they’ve also got one of our favorite ways to kill a few minutes: a Find Your Style quiz. Just pick your favorite between 10 pairs of photos and get ready for your diagnosis. And to help you put your kitchen prescription into action, they’re giving one of you a $200 gift card to use at Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, or West Elm. Sweet. Update: We hear the quiz is still running very slowly/crashing. Looks like Cultivate wasn’t quite ready for all of you quiz-loving folks. So sorry about that, guys!

    CULTIVATE ME!
    My style is contemporary, which makes sense due to my fondness for clean lines without the coldness that can sometimes come from modern design.

    Cultivate me!

    My results were transitional. I actually agree completely although I never knew what to call my preferences because I knew I wasn’t fully modern or traditional because I love a good warm room but I can’t stand fully traditional. Good to put a word to it!

    The quiz said I was transitional, which I would have to agree with. When it comes to kitchens, I like a classic, timeless ‘base’ with pops of bright modern colors

    My husband and I tried the quiz, but it wouldn’t load. Going o go back and give it a try later though. We are in the process of purchasing our first home and would love to win!!

    Cultivate Me! My style is transitional. I guess that’s accurate, but some pictures I didn’t like either one of them.

    I did get a few page load errors, but I kept hitting F5 and it’d load eventually.

    Cultivate me! I didn’t get all the way through the quiz, tried a few times, and then it would lock up again…
    I loved the kitchens that had the most windows and natural light, I know that much :)

    CULTIVATE ME!
    I came up transitional and i would say that is correct I love simple clean lines such as my classic shaker style cabinets but then my glass backsplash make me smile every time I see it. my kitchen is a work in progress so this would very helpful for all the things we left to do in our kitchen.

    Cultivate me! Unfortunately the quiz kept crashing, but I am looking forward to taking it later. Right now I have an apartment kitchen so my guess is my favorite kitchen style might be ‘larger.’ =) Have a great week!
