Fab Freebie: A Cultivated Kitchen

Sorry for the hit-and-miss quiz taking y’all. Apparently you guys enjoy a good quiz as much as we do! Anyways, the lucky (random) winner this week is… Kate Bateman (who was able to get a quiz result and said her “Traditional” diagnosis was almost spot on). Congrats!

I bet most of you guys spent a fair amount of time in the kitchen over the last few days, and if it had you yearning to make some changes in there, you’ve stumbled onto the right giveaway. The folks behind some of our favorite stores (West Elm, Williams-Sonoma, and Pottery Barn) have a sister site chock full of kitchen inspiration called Cultivate. In addition to photo galleries, expert advice, and a blog, they’ve also got one of our favorite ways to kill a few minutes: a Find Your Style quiz. Just pick your favorite between 10 pairs of photos and get ready for your diagnosis. And to help you put your kitchen prescription into action, they’re giving one of you a $200 gift card to use at Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, or West Elm. Sweet.     I got Transitional!

    Timeless, refined, and sophisticated, this style is for those who are more daring than traditional design but still love a good nod to the past. A harmonious blend of simple, modern lines with classic elements, this style often attracts people who love serene settings with a tailored dose of style.

    “CULTIVATE ME!” I did the quiz and found I was Transitional, which was funny because in the past two years, I have been divorced, moved in with my parents with my infant, and now I’m moving! I love to mix IKEA furniture with vintage and antique furniture I refinished over the years. Thanks for the opportunity to take the quiz and a chance at a fun prize!

    CULTIVATE ME!!! I got transitional – matches my incredible inability to make decisions on style. “Ooh, I love this! But is it too funky to be classic? I want to be classic. Does it matter if I like it?” Is always in my head about style decisions :-)

    I’m “Transitional”, which sounds about right. I love the look of a good reclaimed wood shelf, but some modern elements really speak to me.

    I too, got contemporary. Not what I’d expect but ya know. +Also although I had errors error throughout my series of ten questions I would just refresh and wait & it would work for awhile before refreshing again. I did get results though! <3

    Cultivate me! My style is eclectic! Spot on. I don’t know what all of the other styles are, but eclectic sounds about like my whole house– nothing matches; lots of secondhand and thrift.

    CULTIVATE ME!

    My quiz result was Transitional. This is completely accurate. We are currently discussing remodeling our kitchen in our home since it is original to our 1940’s home it is in need of a big update! This is exactly the style we are planning on!

    I can’t get it to work. But on pinterest I tend to search for vintage/contemporary or vintage/modern — I like what turns up!
