You guys hit the 10,000 entry cap to giveaway within 24 hours, so you must love some Fab as much as I do (or perhaps you just like $500). Either way, we’ve crowned a random winner and it is… Whitney (who says “Most of my apartment is muted gray, yellow, and blue, but my kitchen has bright red baking dishes on display.”) Congrats Whitney!
I’m a recent addict to Fab (I own more t-shirts from there than I probably should admit). So imagine my reaction when I got an email from them offering to do a – wait for it – $500 Fab gift card giveaway for you guys. Their site includes items marked down between 10-60% from retail prices across just about every category – home, accessories, art, kitchen, pets, kids, clothing, jewelry, etc. And everything is selected with a discriminating-but-not-too-serious design eye. There’s an emphasis on quirky, weird, and colorful items within their sales… which means there’s a lot of fun to be had while spending the five hundred beans that are up for grabs.
- PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Fab
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FAB ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: …what’s something weird, quirky, or colorful in your home that you love? Is it a bold art print in your entryway? An armchair with a happy pattern in your living room? Or several dozen ceramic animals placed throughout your house… not that we’d know anything about that.
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 30th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond specific areas (more on that here). This giveaway is open to the United States, Canada, and much of Europe (click here for a specific list of countries)
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

FAB ME!
I think it’s a cross between my brightly colored Maryland crab things around the house or my teal courduroy vanity chair in my spare room!

I have a bright turquoise dining room. I love it!

FAB ME!
We have a scary wooden tiki man hanging on our living room wall that my husband found at a thrift store. At first, it creeped me out a little bit, but I’ve grown to like it – and it’s our one month old’s favorite thing to stare at now!
Angela says
FAB ME!
Something colorful and quirky… my kids’ artwork, of course!
Emily F. says
FAB ME! Probably the oddest thing in our house is the 1955 and 1956 Rose Bowl pennants we have framed in the living room. My husband loves them, and I have to admit that they have a cool artsy look to them, despite being football pennants.

“FAB ME!”
I LOVE a neon tie dye painted canvas. My brother and I got it at a Blue Man Group concert, they painted it on stage and we bought it after. The best part is how much my husband hates it, he banned it from the house…little does he know it’s now hanging at the back of our walk in closet :)

FAB ME!
The quirkiest thing that I own are faux deer horns that I found at my local Goodwill for $2.00. I bought it home and spray painted it the most obnoxious shade of yellow, nailed it to the wall and wallah! New necklace hanger!
Cory says
FAB ME!
Love bold pillows and rugs!!
Holly says
FAB ME!
I have two plaster fish wall decorations hanging in my kitchen. They’re from my grandma and grandpa’s basement and are iridescent orange with red lips and male and female features (strong eyebrows for the guy and eyelashes for the gal). They’re awesome and give me a little taste of my grandma’s 70’s decor–they hung on the wall behind a bright orange vinyl couch and a bamboo swing chair.
Carrie says
Fab me! We are in the middle of a neutral rut in our house! We’ve been discussing a teal kitchen or orange striped curtains for the living room so we’re not surrounded by do much tan, brown, white, and black

FAB ME!
I love my fun patterned pillows on my couch.

Fab Me! We love color. We have golden yellow walls in our halls and common areas and we switched from a solid color to multi-color area rugs throughout our home. They really liven things up and since they have almost every color of the rainbow they go with EVERYTHING. The greatest compliment we receive is when people walk in and say our home looks so warm and inviting…exactly what we are going for!
Petra says
Fab me pls!
The most colorful thing in our house would have to be my closet that I painted with bright pink and red stripes for your first Pinterest Challenge. Thanks for getting me to “get on that!” ;-)
Stephanie R says

Fab me!
One of my favorite things in my house is an antique mantle piece that my husband and I scored at a yard sale for $3! It’s not a full surround- just a shelf-like unit made from carved mahogany. We hung it in our bathroom and it added lots of much-needed character!
Renee VanReed says
FAB ME! I have a food tray displayed on my piano with a large elephant on it. Yard sale – $1.
Elisabeth Lyons says
Fab me!
I have a hilariously bright quilt on my bed. I got it as a freshman in high school and still love it. Its actually the same quilt Taylor Swift had in her music video (but I owned mine prior to the video!)
Alyssa says

I have a bright aqua-colored antique dresser in the entryway of our house with a matching ceramic cartoon owl sitting on top. I love bold colors and quirky conversation pieces!

Mellissa says
FAB ME!
My husband is a collector of quirk. The biggest (and most colorful) collection on display is his tiki mug collection. He’s real proud of it. My job is to honor his interests without letting them take over the house hoarder-style. ;)
heather says
FAB ME!
weird stuff: the art deco-ish clock with flamingos, a woven basket shaped like a squirrel (and another like a rooster!), the rocky series vhs set on display above the tv…and more!
Lindsey R says
Fab Me! I have oversized fruit above my kitchen cabinets – very quirky but just my style.
Brooke Knipp says
FAB ME! Pink heart pillow in our LR
Katie Vlietstra says
FAB ME!
Our guest room walls are BRIGHT ORANGE (previous owner decision) and we have always planned to re-paint the room, but after four years the color has grown on us! One day, we might paint 3 of the 4 walls, but we are definitely keeping one orange wall.
aron j. says
Fab me! Hm, unusual thing in house…maybe a breast pump in foyer thanks to having a 12 week old?!
Meghan says
FAB ME!
A bright orange upholstered chair. My grandmother upholstered them in this crazy, 70s-era “fuzzy” fabric. It’s kind of hideous, but I love it. My mom took its mate, so we both have one.
Andrea says
FAB ME! We have some prints from Berkley illustration out of Portland that add a little quirkiness. We love them!
Katie Schmidt says
Fab me!

I have a painting hanging in my living room that a fellow student at chiropractic college painted. It’s a spine forming a bridge between two hands–a little quirky for most, but perfect for this chiropractor!
Alisia says

Let’s see… I guess the most quirky thing in my house is we have my husband’s old burnt fire helmet on display (it was his first fire!)

Fab me! I love my orange chair/ottoman that I bought when I moved to Texas. (Turns out it was the perfect nursing chair too…)
Valerie says
Fab Me!
I have some self-made art (nests, eggs, and a bird cage) gallery type wall in our living room, faux penny tile I painted in our kitchen, as well as ombre stripes, and our dining room and formal living room is a playroom with a lemonade stand and bistro cafe, I’d say our whole house will soon be “quirky”. ;)
Jill says
FAB ME!
This old, falling apart, chair we bought at a yard sale for close to nothing. I just love it!
