After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…
Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.
And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…
- PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

ADLER ME!
Our kitchen walls are a gorgeous avocado green that I picked years before we were home owners, and it still looks super fresh. I have orange accents all over, and have recently started introducing some yellow pops here and there.
Jackie says
ADLER ME! Our grandmother gave us a vintage yellow tray. We have it on display on our kitchen counter. It is the perfect amount of color =]
Hank says
Adler me! We have a neutral toned kitchen and this would really bring a splash of excitement to an otherwise boring room.
Barbara says
ADLER ME!!! Wouldn’t those look lovely in our kitchen we recently painted gray and then added accents of red to? I feel like adding accents of red to a kitchen would be trite if it didn’t look as awesome as it does!

Adler me! We have color on the wall, but a huge wall of white cabinets, a little pop of color in there would be so refreshing!
Lisa says
ADLER ME! We have green border tile in our kitchen, which is original to the house. We painted the trim green to go along with it. One of these sinks would be SUCH a fun addition!!

We are currently re- doing our kitchen with white cabinets, white countertops, grey paint and backslash. We are bringing colors in with fun accessories. Wait, do dirty dishes count as fun accessories??

ADLER ME!!! In the midst of adding more color so this would be a perfect solution!

I bring in a splash of color on by using some cute target dishtowels.

ADLER ME! I tried to add color to each room in my small but spacious apartment: yellow in the bedroom, red in the bathroom, blue-green in the kitchen, khaki in the living room and chartreuse in the dining room … i just love color !!! and i’m ready for more

I just saw that bright green sink yesterday and adored it – this giveaway has great timing. Right now the main pop of color in our kitchen is our sunny yellow Kitchenaid mixer!

We have lots of color in our kitchen, but my favorite touch is some bright aprons hanging as curtains and my vintage candlestick collection on the window sill behind our sink!
Mary Beth says
Adler Me! We’re seriously lacking color in our kitchen. White cabinets with beige floor tiles and a white subway tile back splash. The most colorful thing in our kitchen right now is fresh veggies and fruits.

Currently we are working on bringing color into our kitchen as we’ve recently painted white over knotty pine cabinets. A fresh bold sink would be perfect!

“ADLER ME!” I have a great painting and from it I chose a red to paint all of my dining table chairs
Stacy says
Adler me! Funny… I just put a small vase of flowers purchased from the farm stand next to the sink yesterday. Before that, I bought an inexpensive, bright yellow clock at Target to hang on the wall.

What a fab giveaway! I LOVE color and have been swooning over these sinks! My kitchen is purple (Kasbah by BM) with a chalkboard painted wall near our back door. I would love the turquoise sink, or the yellow, both are colors we use in our house. I’m sure the turquoise would be a nice compliment to our turquoise front door!
Sarah says

Saddly, the color I am currently bringing into my kitchen is a fleshy-peach 1980s counter top with wood grain on the side bevel. Perhaps a new sink would convince me to get a new counter top! :)
Cornelius C Gloria says
ADLER ME! We just got a rental house and the kitchen was this horrid pukey green color. Definitely painted over that with a soft yellow. I didn’t even realize it until my wife told me that it matched her kitchenaid mixer we got from our wedding (I use it more than she does hah!). Wish I had more contrast so I put up some black shelves to go for the bumblebee contrast. Might paint the cabinets white and contertops black. Dunno yet. I’m in there doing the cooking and washing the dishes for my wife and son so the kitchen is my domain! lol
Emily says
ADLER ME! We have splashes of color through towels and fresh fruit/produce on the counter.
Sara says
ADLER ME! I have bright colors in my curtains and fabric covered bulletin board and a big map of the world on the wall.
Aimee says
ADLER ME! With a dark green counter top and bright yellow walls, our kitchen still has the personality of our home’s past owners. A new sink would get us moving on choosing a new color for the future counter top!
Tamara says
Adler me!! My color comes from my three little girls artwork on our gallery/chalkboard wall. Also in my photography. The more color, the better!
Kathie G says
ADLER ME! I could use a splash of color in my neutral kitchen. I have a few picture rails with my favorite cookbooks resting there and that’s the color boost for now. Test driving one box of lumber liquidators stranded bamboo floor and ready to rev up this project.

We’ve only just moved in, so we haven’t even touched the kitchen other than new dishwasher/fridge. Plans to replace granite and cabinets in the future. That Greenwich Green is my absolute favorite type of green and would be a GREAT focal point to get started on my remodel!

I painted the wall in the kitchen navy… the rest of the color comes from stuff on the fridge or “artwork” my son does at daycare :)

We’re in the process of moving in, so the most colorful thing in our new kitchen would be the avocado green (freshly painted!) cabinets. Once we move in all my colorful Le Creuset and bowl collection, it’ll be color wonderland. :-)

This contest could not come at a better time! We are gearing up for a big kitchen remodel in September. We are bringing in a lot of whites and grays, but are adding a lot of pops of color with colorful dishware on open shelving, a sunny yellow walk in pantry, and some beautiful pieces of abstract art with a lot or coral and orangey colors!

My kitchen is one big citrus green box that I’m slowly bringing some other colors in (mostly cobalt blue). I love it. The rest of my house is a little more neutrally painted, but I have more fun in the kitchen.
Trish says
ADLER ME and I use color by bringing in the kids artwork from school, invitations and pictures and pinning them with clothes pins to a vintage wire bed frame hanging from the wall!
