After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…
Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.
And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…
- PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

ADLER ME!!
I prefer a more subdued palette in the kitchen, so most of the color comes in through all the fresh fruit we bring in from the garden.

ADLER ME! I have color ADD and like to switch it up constantly, so we have neutral grey walls and I sub in whatever color towels/art/accessories I’m feeling for that season.

My husband and I are re-doing our builder’s grade cabinets and painting them white. Wall colors are undecided, but I currently have red accents…with fresh colorful flowers always in the window sill. This would definately help give our kitchen that custom look!

I like to bring color into my kitchen with fun artwork and colorful kitchen fabrics (like hand towels). We currently have a multi-colored elephant print above our kitchen sink, but I think it’d look even better with a colorful sink instead of the dull black one we have right now!
Kathryn Beall says
Adler Me! My kitchen color scheme is green, yellow, and white so that yellow sink would be perfect!

I have lots of splashes of red in my kitchen, from a lily pad tray from Tar-hey, to decorative plates with red coral imprints. Plus, all my china is red, so when it’s in my sink [which is … not unrare], it adds to my red theme!

We don’t have much color in our kitchen yet – we’re very slowly starting to make changes, but everything is super neutral right now.
Tori says
ADLER ME! All of the kitchen odds and ends are red and turquoise. But the kitchen itself is pretty bland beside that. We would most assuredly love to spruce it up in an awesomely avant garde way!

the color in my kitchen comes from collected items i adore – splashes of vibrance in the form of painted teacups from anthropologie (found on sale for 3.75 each – holla), a spoon rest from mexico, my crackle-glazed set of free-form aqua dishes, and my happy turquoise teapot. it’s been fun to gather and pull different pieces together over time in the creation of a homey, loved, traveled, comfy sort of space… and to add a gorgeous sink to the mix would be amazing! thanks for sharing! :)

This is spectacular! I’m trying to bring color in through accent bowls and serving pieces until I can convince my husband we should do something “drastic” like paint. I think this sink would be a much better idea though ;)

We have a tile backsplash with 1×1″ tiles – red, white, lime green and black. Lime green walls, a red light fixture above the sink and a red accent curtains on the porch door, and black granite countertops. A lot of bold colors that we inherited when we bought the house. I really want to tone down the wall color and bring out the green as an accent color through accessories since there is so much going on.
Kim says
ADLER ME! I wanted a light, bright kitchen so I repainted my cabinets from an ugly pea-green to white and walls from yellow and red (it was like McDonald’s up in there) to a light grey and with a dark grey accent. Then, I use lime green dishtowels and curtains to add a pop of color!
