After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…
Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.
And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…
- PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

Our kitchen has very little color – very drab with darker hues. It is up next on our to do list!

For color in the kitchen, I painted the walls a yellowish-green color by Benjamin Moore called “Dill Pickle”. It’s so fresh and cheerful and really “pops” with the white cabinets – always makes me smile when I walk in the room!

Most of the color in my kitchen comes from art on the walls and our happy place mats :)
Cindy says
ADLER ME! I just painted my whole kitchen – everything except the floor! The only thing left is my pop of color – the curtains (and a crazy colorful sink… droool…)!
Holly T says
ADLER ME! I am so intrigued by the bright sink!

Alder me! My kitchen cabinets are white, the counter top is dark brown, and the walls are a very light cafe au lait: it desperately needs color! I got my color inspiration from our aqua/blue mason jars and my doggie’s yellow ducky. It really makes the room pop! Luv it!

Adler me! I’ve got fat fingers. Ha!

I am getting ready to begin a complete kitchen overhaul on the house we close on in 45 days. I am.so.excited. and a blue kitchen sink would seriously be so awesome!

ADLER ME!
The only color in our kitchen is the drawings our son makes on the chalkboard section (and usually onto the surrounding areas)
Kristen says
ADLER ME! Our kitchen is dying for some color! We inhereted an ugly beige porcelain sink that we absolutely hate from the previous owners of our house. This would definitely do the trick and make us smile instead of cringe when we look at the sink.
Sandra says
ADLER ME! bright green walls in our kitchen… but the rest of the cabinetry and counters are pretty outdated– so we’d LOVE another splash of color at the sink!
maria says
adler me! we are doing a bright blue backsplash in our kitchen to liven it up!

I added color to our kitchen by putting an african violet on the window ledge. Somehow I have managed to keep it alive for one year, and it’s even flowering again.
Jessica says
ADLER ME! We have added color to the kitchen in our first home by painting the walls a bright yellow and adding fun furniture and accessories-like our teal corner shelf!
JLS says
ADLER ME! I love bright colors and my kitchen used to be three different crazy colors. However, as I matured, I toned the walls to a nice taupey grey, and let the items on my counters (yellow mixer, red canisters, turquoise vase) be my color and I love it!
Kristina says
Adler me! Brought the color in a (mostly) white kitchen with a deep teal ceiling.

ADLER ME! We need color in our kitchen.

Like many on these messages, we have added color in accessories. It is easier to swap out the colors in hand towels, jars, and pot holders (for now they are red and yellow) before I settle on a fantastic permanent color for the kitchen!
Meaghan Danielson says
Adler me! The color in my kitchen is all about the latest drawing on the chalkboard wall or the colorful hand-painted dishes in the cupboard.
Katy says
Adler me! I’m obsessed with having a bright and cheery yellow kitchen, but since I’m in a rental, most of that color comes in through some bright accessories and a big bowl of fruit.
Naomi says
ADLER ME! My kitchen is white with grey walls (the color of wet concrete) – The perfect backdrop for bold accents. Aqua is definitely my number 1 accent color and that awesome sink and faucet in aqua would definitely “ADLER ME”!!!!

I mostly just use a few tea towels, chalk on our chalkboard wall, and one or two pretty cooking pieces above our cabinets, like my beloved navy Staub cocotte and some green Evian bottles inspired by y’all!
Danielle Schaefer says

My kitchen walls are currently apple red with white and black accents!
Laurel says
Adler me! I finished yet another DIY project this spring when I installed a navy/ white checkerboard floor…so pick me for a navy sink! Other accent colors change weekly, as a new stack of library books comes in. Can’t wait for your book to be in our stack!

ADLER ME!!! Please?
we really need a new sink and especially a faucet. Ours is super cheap and needs and upgrade.
Our color in our kitchen comes from our cool tile backsplash and the paint interior of our cabinets with green apple.

I spray painted some cheap plastic chargers bright colors to put above our cabinets that match some mexican pottery that we have above our fridge. It contrasts really nicely with the dark brown cabinets and black appliances we have in the room.
I also grabbed some deeply discounted ($2!!!!) silk curtains and dyed them a fun yellow and they look amazing!
Amanda says
Adler Me!!
We recently went from a dark blue/ grey wall and black and white checked floor to a light blue wall and wood floor. Huge a difference in such a small space.
Bonnie Morscher says
ADLER ME! My kitchen is blue without that lovely Palermo blue sink. Winning that would make it soooo happy.

Our current kitchen is a deep teal color but we’re looking to buy a new house and a colorful sink would be a cool jumping off point for design in the kitchen.
Sarah S says
ADLER ME! The cheerful yellow on our kitchen walls is about to give way to white and putty stripes, so color is more easily switched around with art and accessories!
Susan says
ADLER ME!
This sounds backwards, but I just painted my walls white. I want to be able to do pops of color instead of all of the color on the walls.

Right now the kitchen is the only room we haven’t redone in the house so it has TOO Much color, or too many patterns.. it’s just too much! Haha, flowered wallpaper with light blue corian counters with speckles of dark blue, with a matching backsplash.. just too much going on.. this would definitely help in the re-do!
Annie says
ADLER ME!! We just bought our first house less than a month ago and all the walls are super bland and boring. Our first project is to add some lovely color to our kitchen walls – we are just trying to find the perfect turquoise or green, but haven’t found it yet.
Lauren says
ADLER ME! I have a huge collection of capri blue plates and glasses from the 50s and 60s… I don’t have open shelves, but I just leave the cabinets open so I can see them and have them brighten up the space!

ADLER ME!! please!! I love to use dishtowels, bowls, flowers and other fun little accessories to bring in pops of color. We also just painted a little nook in our kitchen the same color as your guest room!
Kate says
ADLER ME! Our splash of color is currently the herb pots on our window sill. We anticipate a kitchen makeover in the next few years and don’t want to update too much just yet without having a plan in place.
