After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…
Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.
And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…
- PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

Oddly enough, I just bought the paint for our kitchen walls and it almost exactly matches that gorgeous Riverby shade :D

I really want to redo our backsplash to bring in some color!

ADLER ME! We pained a bright teal accent wall, and we bring in pops of colors with Fiestaware. We don’t discriminate. We love all the colors, and they work wonderfully together.

Our kitchen walls are actually the same yellow as your front door. We painted the walls 2 years ago when we moved in to brighten up the oak cabinets until the day we get brave enough to paint the cabinets.

I bring color into my kitchen using curtains and dish towels, plus colorful fruit on the counter!

ADLER ME…. our kitchen is pretty much all white. White counters, walls, appliances (it took a ton of swatches to color match everything, btw)… except one side has a butcher block counter-top. I use tea towels for color “pop” for different seasons but that yellow sink MUST become mine. :)
Great giveaway, guys! Thanks for offering it to your readers!
Candace G says
ALDER ME! Our kitchen and great room are painted a bold navy blue with white accents. That Picadilly Yellow sink would look amazing! Or perhaps the more coordinating Annapolis Navy would be a nice pop next to white cabinets.
Emily says
ADLER ME!
Well, we painted below the chair rail in our kitchen bright red. And I was excited for the brightness but turns out I am less and less in love with the red. I am thinking of changing it to leaf green soon! Perhaps a matching sink would be a nice complement. . .

ADLER ME!
My kitchen is a work in progress and we have BIG plans but in the mean time we have removed 2 layers of some pretty icky wallpaper added some texture to hide the many imperfections to our old plaster walls then painted it a fun yellowish green called Japanese Fern.
Sandra says
ADLER ME! We’re trying a peg board a la Julia Child…with that same color Palermo Blue as an accent. Blue accents, black trim, and white walls. We’ll see if it works!

ADLER ME! When we first bought our house two years ago we painted the dark, dated cabinets white and the walls a beautiful turquoise color, similar to the Palermo Blue in this post. I have pops of cherry red here and there in bowls, towels, and votive holders.
Jennifer says
Adler me! Our kitchen is in the middle of a reno and we only have the backsplash, sink and faucet left to replace. We’ve kept the walls and cabinets simple in greys and white so that we can change up the accent colours whenever we feel like it. Right now I have all types of yellow flowers in a vase and bowls of yellow fruits and vegetables.
Texas Susan says
ADLER ME! Our maroon backsplash provides color in our kitchen.
RebeccaK says
ADLER ME!
When we moved in the kitchen was already extremely neutral with plain cream ceramic tile floors, dark brown and black granite, and maple cabinets. Pretty, but bland. We painted the attached dining room wall deep teal (BM’s Deep Ocean) and I love, love, love it! We also bring in color with things like a blue teapot and canvas picture of the kids on the light grey wall. My next project is replacing the stainless pendant light covers with aqua glass insulators for another splash of color in the actual kitchen.
Andy says
ADLER ME! This will be “step 1” in bringing color to our kitchen!
Katie says
ADLER ME!
We are not afraid of bright colors on the walls: tiffany blue in the powder room, lime green in the office, terra cotta red in the dining room – but our kitchen is next up on the list!
Deena says
ADLER ME! We’re fixin’ to (yup, I’m Texan) paint our kitchen a purple-y color and I think that yellow sink may be an awesome contrast!
Jana says
ADLER ME! I’ve been loving almost all hues of green lately. Just bought a new throw pillow in a great turquoise color for our couch and a new bamboo shoot from ikea for decoration.
Elizabeth D from GA says
ADLER ME! I’m (still) working on a wall mural in my boys room – a cityscape with the bat signal and superman flying for ther superhero room!
Miss E says
ADLER ME!!! Oh my goodness- kitchens should have color BUILT-IN! We are about to redo one on our first home together (buying in 3 weeks) and we will have the boldest backsplash on the block. =)
rebekah says
ALDER ME!
Red just seems to fit in a kitchen so well for me :)
Denise says
ADLER ME! I’m currently renting a condo, and my landlord doesn’t want us to paint with bright colors. So I added bright accents in towels and countertop accessories such as canisters with bright lids!
Liz T. says
ADLER ME!
Currently I bring color into our kitchen with accessories like bowls or colored small appliances since we rent now but we are looking for a home to buy so soon we’ll be able to do more with it and be able to paint the walls other than white! I would love to paint a nice calm yellow or green, not very bold but just enough color. I love fresh flowers so yes i love them on counters or tables or anywhere lol. and as far as culinary creations, i live that to my boyfriend, since I’m not a good cook but a good a decorator i am! :)

ADLER ME!
The problem with our current kitchen is that it has too much color going on for our tastes–bright pinky-orange terracotta floor tiles, light teal formica countertops, light (band-aid colored) faux wood cabinets… all way too much for our otherwise formal-ish old victorian house. I would like to dial all that back a few notches (kitchen reno plans are in the works), so that we can actually accent with pops of color rather than drowning in it!
Nicole says
ADLER ME! We are currently looking to add some color to our kitchen with a tile back-splash. It will not only add color but also an interesting pattern and texture.
p.s. that picadilly yellow is absolutely dreamy!
kristen says
ADLER me!! our kitchen walls are painted a neutral color with pops of red and other bright colors!
Jennifer says
ADLER ME! We currently have a very neutral creamy white and light tan granite countertops color combo going with pops of red glassware that I collect. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have one of these colored sinks, though, as I am looking to incorporate more pops of color into our look! These are simply amazing!!
Jenny says
ALDER ME! I love a bowl of fresh fruit to brighten up my counters!
Jessica L says
ADLER ME!! Our kitchen is painted “Go Vols” orange. We’re huge University of Tennessee fans, but seriously, the color was an oops. It was supposed to be a more burnt orange. But it’s one of those things that didn’t work out the way you planned…it worked out much better.
Rhi says
ADLER ME!
Our kitchen cabinets are glass-faced, so I bring in color with our bright dishes!
