After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…
Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.
And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…
- PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

ADLER ME! I’m currently half-way through this pregnancy. So we’re (read: my husband) painting bedrooms and adding color to our home that way. My oldest daughter chose pink for her bedroom, my son’s room was painted blue before when even knew he was a boy but we chose a frosty green for the new baby’s room.
Brianne says
ADLER ME! I have been discovering that I am drawn to bright dishes — whether they are vintage or new.

We painted all of our lower cabinets a gorgeous aqua color, and the uppers all bright white. I accent with glossy red. I absolutely am still in love with this color combo. This was our cheap kitchen transformation. I would still love to do the counters, and replace the sink!

I moved into an apartment with some mint green paint on the walls but of course I did not shy away from color after that. Since then I have bought pink dining room chairs! And I have an awesome pink/green/orange/red cafe curtain that ties the two colors together. Love it all!

My husband just switched jobs, which cut back our income, and he is going back to school. We are getting ready to have our second baby! We have been dying to work on our hold house which is my childhood home, but cosmetic things aren’t really in the budget, but oh lord that aqua double sink with a purist faucet in my retro kitchen with orange counter tops would look incredible!!!!

ADLER ME! My husband let me pick out the color for our kitchen, we updated the walls a pretty green color, redid the counters with one of those faux granite paint kits found at Home Depot and in our built in cupboards we proudly have my fiesta ware on display. We love it! :)

We’re still renting, so we can’t do anything too permanent. My favorite thing is using bright apple green dishcloths and oven mitts- we can hang them from a drawer handle and they offer a pretty respite from the blah rental cabinetry.
Meg says
ADLER ME! I like to add color with pretty dish and tea towels, and a basket of fruit and vegetables.
Nina says
ADLER ME! My kitchen has soft pink walls and sagey accents, although I’m working on turning the sage into a darker, mossy green. It’s a fine line to walk with pink walls, between pepto and Barbie and the sophisticted pink I wanted. I think the moss accents will make all the difference. I hope Kohler has a sink I can add! I’ve been dying for a new one.
Emily Webb says
