Home Addict creates beautiful textiles for your home using pure silk, ancient weaving techniques and fair trade practices. While each piece is designed in Paris, they’re all hand-made in South East Asia over several days using the intricate ikat technique. The results are luxurious items for your home like table runners, room dividers, throws and wall hangings. And we’re excited to announce that Home Addict has offered up one of the colorful wall hangings shown on this page (valued from $120+) to one lucky reader. And if you don’t have the perfect wall for it, the beautiful silk fabric would look just as great reincarnated as a few pillows, a runner, or even a new seat cushion!

    Yey – a worldwide giveaway!! :) Lets see…. I’M ADDICTED to….Going to lots of meetings, liking cats, volunteering for pointless things, reading too much fiction & not enough journal articles, Charlie Booker, cooking, reading The Guardian, drinking a teeeeny bit too much, organising booze cruises, meeting new babies that people keep having, sleeping, playing on my Firefox, making sure all the windows in the house are open all the time, putting up with endless bicycle chatter, Being a student midwife, drinking tea, going to IKEA, drinking coffee, writing essays, painting my house (endlessly), gardening,
    finding interesting hairstyles that are allowed at work, buying costume jewellery, reading books about Jackie Kennedy (why?!), making sure the sofa looks tidy, delegating the laundry, writing angry letters to the West Suffolk Hospital (IT’S FILTHY, THEY KILL PEOPLE, DON’T GO THERE), going to (endless) weddings, arguing with the traffic warden, hoovering the stairs, going to BBQ’s, making picnics, experimenting with pink gin, staying in hotels with my nanny, buying mascara, icing tiny cakes, carpeting the garden (it can be done, i’ve proved it, twice) and disciplining my cats.

    I’M ADDICTED to home decor magazines. It all started as an innocent subscription to domino 3 years ago and has morphed into subscriptions to a half dozen magazines. Sometimes, mid month I run out to Borders to grab a few more I don’t subscribe to just to tid me over until the next issues of my subscriptions arrive!

    I’M ADDICTED to Reese’s pieces (which you can’t buy in the UK – I have to beg my American friends to bring me them) and also to a Dutch lip balm my friend got me (Purol) which isn’t available here either. My internet addictions are to many design-inspiration blogs (including yours, obv), the BBC iPlayer, the Met office weather forecast, Post Secret, clothes re-fashioning blogs and mongabay.com (environmental news).     I’M ADDICTED to so many things, but particularly to having tea from an actual tea pot, watching dogs play in the dog park, and to collecting samples of papers, fabrics, and even metals in hopes that I will someday make something out of them!
