Can’t believe this giveaway: your book JUST arrived. Heard a ‘thud’ on the porch and yeeeeh there it was. Thrilled and… mad as I have sooo much to do and really want to curl up with the dogs and a blankee and read it. Books live all over our house. They add so much to any room.
Btw if I win this giveaway I’ll gladly pass on my copy to a friend : )

We just moved, and it was so wonderful to get our books out of boxes and into even a little normal bookcase. Hopefully in the future they’ll get nicer digs!
Beth says
Book Me! My overflowing bookcase lives in my bedroom with all the leftovers sprawling all over the house at the moment.

Book me! (Please!)
Also, I don’t understand the bonus question. Is your home not supposed to be spilling over with piles of books everywhere? If so, then I may have a problem. :) All of my books are my favorites, and I have bookcases/racks/decorative piles in every room, but my favorite is our little front sun room who’s beveled walls are lined with shelves end to end so I am surrounded by sunlight and books and everything good in the world. It’s such a rejuvenating sight that I don’t even get all that fussy about the sun damage to the book spines.

My husband and I recently moved to a very small townhome to save money and our 300+ books went into storage at my parent’s house. They’ve slowly been making their way back to us 2 or 3 at a time (not to mention the new books we’ve been buying) and are now scattered all over our 1000 square feet. We dream of a library the size of our current home!
The special ones are stacked on our nightstands!

My favorite books are usually kept stacked in our open livingroom/kitchen area so I can gaze at their pretty covers/spines and peruse often.

BOOK ME!
I am a huge fan of home decor and Books! I have had a love affair with books since before I could read, the library was always my favorite place as a child. Today I have 4 large bookcases filled with books in my living room. One bookcase with books in my bedroom. One bookcase filled to over flowing with cook books in my kitchen (yes in my kitchen!). And two bedside tables in my guest room crammed with books.
Seriously, I’m a lover of the written word. Most of my books are non-fiction, about women’s rights, memoirs of a “famous” person’s life, or old college textbooks about psychology and criminal justice, as well as a few “coffee table” books like Postcards and Cat books. But I do have quite a lot of Michael Crichton’s books as well. :) So how (I have no idea why) do I not have one single home decor book?…which is crazy because HGTV is my go to channel whenever I’m at a hotel with cable (I don’t have it at home)…hopefully this will soon be fixed because I asked for your book for my birthday, and my partner is generally very good at listening…and a heavy box from amazon arrived a few days ago ;)…so yes, even if I don’t win these books I am going to need to make a trip to Edward McKay to rectify this grievous error.
Sorry to ramble on…just Books. *sigh*

Right now my books live….errrrr…. in boxes. But it’s not because I’m some sort of book hating jerk. I’m a total book nerd, I swear! As soon as we’re done renovating (please let it be soon!) they will come out and enjoy prominent places all over the house. And I would love to win that lovely stack of books :-)
Martha says
BOOK ME: since moving over to the kindle, the number of actual books in my house has diminished. However, I do keep my those books which are too pretty or too good to relegate to a black and white screen loving shelved on my bookshelf in the den–the cosiest and most peaceful place!

These days there is only one place for ‘special books’ – HIGH. My little ones forget that books aren’t for craft time…. other than height restrictions I like to keep them visible in our living room. I looonnggg for glass fronted bookshelves to keep the dust out. Congrats on the book by the way!
