So many book-hungry people out there! This giveaway hit its 10,000 cap within 24 hours, so we’re already back with a winner. The lucky worm is… Melissa (who keeps her favorite books in a bedside cabinet, a living room end table, and on a special display shelf in the family room. She believes “all good book nerds have them in all parts of the house!”). Congrats Melissa!
Our book release is officially here! Woo hoo! And we’re celebrating by giving away books this week. But not just our book. Lots o’ books. In fact, some of them will even come signed by some pretty awesome people. Woot! We’ve been gobbling up so many design, decor, and home books lately that we thought it’d be fun to share some of our recent faves from our library. - TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BOOK ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … what special place in your home do you keep your favorite books? Do they get a prime spot on your coffee table? Or do you have a large collection of faves that fill a bookcase somewhere? Maybe your top pick at the moment just lives cozily on your night table?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Nov 7th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible – more on that here)

My books live on a wall of bookshelves in my Sunroom. I love having a visual representation of the meaningful books I’ve read and having favorites on-hand to re-read when I want to. I also love what a conversation starter a shelf of books can be when people visit our home!

Book Me! We love all kinds of books, so they are stored all over the house. Coffee table books stacked on the coffee table’s bottom shelf and cook books stacked on every other end table in the living room. Book cases abound in the dining room and bedrooms (we might as well live in a library!)

Book Me!
I have one of those crate and barrel leaning bookshelves in my living room full of my favorite things. I stacked up a few of my husband’s childhood books and put an animal on them the other day – it’s a walrus bottle opener that I got from Anthropologie, but it breaks the bottles, so now it’s just a walrus – and I thought of you!
Rachel S says
My favorite books adorn the top of my coffee table and a few found their way to the top of my nightstand. Such a great way to add height to lamps or other table decor.
Sarah A. says

My favorite books are on the least fancy piece of furniture I own: shelving made from boards (that my mother used when she was in college in the 1940s!) on milk crates, ornamental cement blocks, and glass bricks. I need to update, but never can find something I like enough to commit to.
Lucy says

“BOOK ME!”-Right now, pre-renovation: Our favorite books are stored under our entertainment center. Hopefully in a few years when we have the ability to expand our house we will have a proper place for our cherished books. In the meantime, whichever book I am currently reading lives on my night stand and migrates to the coffee table as I have time to read.
