Fab Freebie: Christmas Lights

This week’s early Christmas present is going to… Nancy (who says she “could certainly use some new lighting” and her favorite holiday glow “has to be my fireplace.”) Congrats Nancy!

As much as we love holiday lights, indoor lighting is something that you stare at every day of the year. So if you don’t love your lighting situation, this is one way to “dude, get on that” without spending any cash. See, recently we were voted one of Lamps Plus’ top home blogs of 2012 (how flattering!) and it came with a $500 shopping spree prize… but you know we don’t take freebies or swag, so the folks at Lamps Plus kindly agreed that we could pass that $500 credit to one of you! We’ve been fans of theirs for a while now since they seem to have about a million options (their chandeliers even popped up in our book a few times) so this week’s winner should have no trouble finding something to spend their light-loot on if they win.

    LAMP ME!!! I love the glow of the lights on my tree and lighted garland. December is the month I had my first child and the month I was married (in different years, the marriage coming first!) and the glow of the lights takes me back to those special memories added to the Christmas season.

    Lamp Mee!!!!

    Our favorite lights this year are the warm white lights on our Christmas tree. We love to shut off all the lights in the house and look at the tree reflection on the hardwood floors. Nothing more cozy than that!

    I love seeing electric candle lights in all the windows at Christmas. I think it makes a house look so cozy.

    Lamp me! While I love a good firelight, we don’t have a fireplace so I’ve been loving the fake youtube fire on our tv :)

    LAMP ME….my favorite lights are the simple white, but with two little ones in the house, colored lights are the only ones we sport!

    LAMP ME! I used to lay underneath the Christmas tree to see the lights when I was little…ok, ok, I still do it. Just love being surrounded by the pretty lights!

    Lamp ME!
    I love the twinkle of a little faux tree adorned with old school white little lights and a single red ball at the top that sits on our back steps. I leave it lit all season all day & night. It is a little bit of sparkle during the dark days of winter.

    Lamp me! My family is from Scandinavia, so my favorite lights have always been the Saint Lucy’s Day candle wreaths.

    LAMP ME – I love any and all Christmas lights. My favorite are white lights on the outlines of houses and wreath with white lights on all of the windows.

    I love Moravian stars! On the other hand, I do not love all the ’80s light fixtures we inherited in our house :)

    LAMP ME! My favorite holiday lights are the multicolor glow that comes from the tree when all the rest of the lights on our first floor are turned off.
