Fab Freebie: Christmas Lights

This week’s early Christmas present is going to… Nancy (who says she “could certainly use some new lighting” and her favorite holiday glow “has to be my fireplace.”) Congrats Nancy!

As much as we love holiday lights, indoor lighting is something that you stare at every day of the year. So if you don’t love your lighting situation, this is one way to “dude, get on that” without spending any cash. See, recently we were voted one of Lamps Plus’ top home blogs of 2012 (how flattering!) and it came with a $500 shopping spree prize… but you know we don’t take freebies or swag, so the folks at Lamps Plus kindly agreed that we could pass that $500 credit to one of you! We’ve been fans of theirs for a while now since they seem to have about a million options (their chandeliers even popped up in our book a few times) so this week’s winner should have no trouble finding something to spend their light-loot on if they win.

    LAMP ME! I’m usually just a white lights kind of girl, but I also love those big old fashioned colored bulbs on a tree filled with random ornaments.

    LAMP ME… all the lights that we currently use are white. i love that i can turn off the overhead lights and everything is bathed in a soft glow from the tree and the couple of other short strands i have.

    LAMP ME! i have to say my all-time favorite will always be the white lights on the christmas tree.. because you get to gaze at them while youre in your cozy home.

    I have some white Christmas lights laying around my white ceramic nativity and it looks gorgeous, especially in an otherwise dark room.

    Up until this year, I was a white light on the tree in a dark room gal, but my hubby-to-be’s outdoor decorating skills have me thinking twice now.

    I love the glow of a Christmas tree when no other lights are on. :) And before I moved to Florida, I adored having a fireplace that was lit so I could read by firelight while basking in the Christmas tree glow. I’m relaxing just thinking about it!

    We’re a 2 holiday household, and I love the way a Menorah looks through a window surrounded by white Christmas lights!

    My favorite holiday light has to be from a scented candle. Love simply relaxing with music and candles glowing. :)

    Lamp Me… I love the glow of our Christmas tree and wreath that decorate our home. We use both colored lights and white lights.

    LAMP ME! My favorite set of lights are definitely those on the tree. I love turning off all the other lights in the house and just sitting there quietly, staring at the Christmas tree and remembering all the great Christmas memories I have.
