Well now that we’re more than ready to find a pool to dive into, random.org has picked a winner of this week’s giveaway. The lucky lady is… Cher (who swims about 20 laps each day in the summer). Congrats!
One element in our new kitchen that always makes us smile is the etsy print that we purchased by Samantha French. Remember, the cheery orange and blue painting of the lady swimming (that Clara also sweetly though included some “fishies”)? Well now Samantha is giving you guys a chance to win your very own colorful work of art with a $200 gift certificate to her Etsy shop. So grab your swim cap and bathing suit because that’s enough to snag any of the 16 x 20″ archival prints featuring Samantha’s signature subject matter.
- PRIZE: A $200 gift card to Samantha French’s Etsy shop
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “LET’S GO SWIMMING!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: …are you a swimmer? Do you love going to the pool to do a few laps? Or maybe just to splash around (or lounge around)? Or are you and water not friends?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 28th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: Worldwide!
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Samantha French.

LET’S GO SWIMMING! The Oklahoma weather has been particularly good to us this spring. We swam for the first time this year…yesterday! March 25 and the pool is open!

I am a swim team coach at the local Y for kids ages 5-21! I have been eyeing her work since you put it in your kitchen. SO AWESOME!

I enjoy a dip in the pool to play with my kids or cool down, but not really a swimming…unless you count doggie paddle.
Katie says
LETS GO SWIMMING!
My husband and kids always tease me because despite the fact that we have a pool in our backyard I probably only go in it once or twice a summer. I like the idea of it, just don’t like putting on my bathing suit and actually getting in! Loved it as a kid tho :)
Katelyn Lessard says
Let’s go swimming!
I love the water but living in Alaska does not offer many opportunities for taking dips, but it gives us an excuse to go on vacations to tropical places!
Rachel says
LET’S GO SWIMMING! I love swimming – swam competitively in high school and college, but I would MUCH rather be swimming in the ocean, say on a Hawaiin vacation!

While my husband is away this summer on a mission trip my daughter and I are going to spend a week with my parents. I am super excited because they have a pool and I plan on working on my tan.
Leslie Ann says
LET’S GO SWIMMING! I’m a casual splasher and enjoy the water…if I can see where I’m stepping. Sorry, oceans/lakes! I’ll admire you from the shore :-)
Lindsey says
Lets go swimming! I love swimming in pools but not as much in the ocean!
Cara says
LET’S GO SWIMMING!
It’s the best part of summer. The best day ever was the afternoon I was the only one at the neighborhood pool and could dive and splash around to my heart’s content without looking silly. Well, at least worrying about looking silly.
Jennah says
I know it’s maybe weird, but whenever I see that painting I think it looks drowning-y. I do like some of her others, though, so let’s go swimming? lol. I love the pool and can’t wait to have my little one check it out for the first time this summer!

LET’S GO SWIMMING!
I love swimming! The ocean is my second home :)

LET’S GO SWIMMING …
I have a complex and confusing relationship with the water. I’m not a strong swimmer, I hate being in water that is deeper than me, I feel most comfortable when there’s an edge I can grab onto … and yet, I am a certified scuba dive instructor and have dived to >30m!
I know, I know … my friends and family collectively shook their heads when they found out. But … my argument is that as a dive instructor I’ve got all the gear to make me super comfortable in the water. A buoyancy vest (to inflate which allows me to float), a tank of air (to prevent me from drowning) and fins (to make me a super fast swimmer when I need to be).
See? Makes perfect sense ;).
Kitty says
LET’S GO SWIMMING! I love swimming, although I came to it late. My favourite place to swim is the sea, but now I live completely inland, a swimming pool gets me by.
Kat Mac says
LET’S GO SWIMMING!
I adore swimming … always have, always will :)
Mallory @ R. Simple Life says
LETS GO SWIMMING!
I wish I was a swimmer. I am training to become better. Right now I better enjoy laying on the side of the water reading.
Denny says
LET’s GO SWIMMING! Preferably to work on my tan, man.

LET’S GO SWIMMING!
I tried out for the swim team once but didn’t make the cut. I can keep afloat but won’t win any races.
Sarah says
Let’s go swimming! I haven’t done much real swimming since I took lessons growing up, but I do love going in a pool or a lake on a hot day.
Adrienne says
“LET’S GO SWIMMING!”
I’m not a swimmer but both of my daughters swim competitively for the Tigersharks Swim Club in MN. One of these prints would be perfect for the bathroom I’m finishing in my 3rd level since it’s main use will be as our pool bath. I love the one with the two people diving underwater. I feel like a stalker today since this is my 2nd post!

LET’S GO SWIMMING!!
Story goes that I learned how to swim before I learned how to walk. Swimming and I go waaaay back to my first summer. That’s one of the projects in our house this year, diy-ing a pool!

I’m not a swimmer, but my daughter just recently participated in our local swim club. She can’t wait for competitions this summer. :)

LET’S GO SWIMMING! I do love to swim but preferably in the ocean.
Laura says
LET’S GO SWIMMING!
I actually learned how to swim before I learned how to walk :) I guess that’s what happens when you grow up in Florida near the beach! I love to swim and wish we still lived closer to the coast so we could get to the beach more often.
Mandy Pike says
LET’S GO SWIMMING
I love the water. We just returned from a beach trip and I can’t wait for the weather to warm up and for us to head to come Connecticut beaches!
Anneliese says
Let’s go swimming! I am a sunner and a dipper myself… but laps are also a great form of cardio.
rebestone says
I started swimming before I could walk. In high school and college I taught lessons at the local ymca and a day camp. This summer I can’t wait to spend some quality time in the water with my niece (4) and nephew (1) so they can come to love swimming as much as I do. I haven’t seen anything on here about lessons for Clara but she’s definitely old enough I’m sure she’d love a parent/child class!
Meghan says
LET’S GO SWIMMING!
I should say that more often… it’s been way too long since I touched the ocean or a pool.
Kelly says
LET’S GO SWIMMING! I love to swim in the ocean!

I have been training for my second triathlon and swim about 3 times a week. I have really bonded with the pool this winter and would love a print like this that I can really relate to!

I don’t swim nearly enough these days, but when I was little my godmother called me “pescadita” (little fish). These paintings bring back memories of those days…

I love to swim, but don’t like people to see me in my suit. My daughter(5) is also a little fishie.
Bonnie says
LET’S GO SWIMMING
I’d love to win the $200 gift card since that is what I pretty much owe my parents for the swimming lessons all through out my childhood that went to waste as I can now really only do a back float. :) But give me some sun screen, a magazine, a lounge chair, and a tropical drink and I can sit by a pool all day. No lessons needed!
jana says
“LET’s GO SWIMMING” I adore the water and swim every chance I get. But for fitness I am more of a land-lubber and run. Just love the feeling of moving in water.
Clare says
“LET’S GO SWIMMING!” I live in Texas where it regularly reaches the 100s, in the summer. I’m not just friends with my pool, we’re in a committed relationship. I spend most of my weekend afternoons on my raft floating with a good book as soon as it’s warm enough!
Mary Pitts says
“LET’S GO SWIMMING!”
I have been swimming all my life. My 2.5 year old daughter just started swim lessons and is loving it! Can not wait for SUMMER!!!!! :)
Jenn says
LET’s GO SWIMMING!
Generally, I’m not a swimmer. I’m more a sit under the umbrella and read type person but since my kiddos are little fish (or so it seems) I’m forced out into the water a lot more now.
Julie says
“LET’S GO SWIMMING!” I love to swim! I mainly just float around… hopefully with a cocktail in hand. Can’t wait to see who wins- the paintings are gorgeous!
Stephanie says
LET’S GO SWIMMING! I love to swim! Especially when rafts and tropical drinks are involved :) Swimming in the ocean is my favorite too!
