Well now that we’re more than ready to find a pool to dive into, random.org has picked a winner of this week’s giveaway. The lucky lady is… Cher (who swims about 20 laps each day in the summer). Congrats!
One element in our new kitchen that always makes us smile is the etsy print that we purchased by Samantha French. Remember, the cheery orange and blue painting of the lady swimming (that Clara also sweetly though included some “fishies”)? Well now Samantha is giving you guys a chance to win your very own colorful work of art with a $200 gift certificate to her Etsy shop. So grab your swim cap and bathing suit because that’s enough to snag any of the 16 x 20″ archival prints featuring Samantha’s signature subject matter.
- PRIZE: A $200 gift card to Samantha French’s Etsy shop
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “LET’S GO SWIMMING!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: …are you a swimmer? Do you love going to the pool to do a few laps? Or maybe just to splash around (or lounge around)? Or are you and water not friends?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 28th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: Worldwide!
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Samantha French.

“LET’S GO SWIMMING”
I love the water. It’s not summer without it.
Kaysce says
LET’S GO SWIMMING! I grew up a 3 minute walk from the beach. I never learned to swim until it was mandatory in high school. I almost drowned in swimming class. I did become a competent swimmer but I still stay away from anything larger than a tub of water.

“LET’S GO SWIMMING!” Every chance I get!

I live in Greece. It would be stupid not to swim every day throughout the summer months. ;-)

Love going to the water… though I’m no swimmer.

LET’S GO SWIMMING!
My favorite pool on earth is Barton Springs Pool in Austin, TX. Always a cool 68 degrees, ahhhh…
Nancy says
LET’S GO SWIMMING!! I love being near the water, but not necessarily in it.
Pamela says
LET’S GO SWIMMING! I love swimming! I was on swim team in high school, and just the smell of chlorine feels like home…It has the added advantage of making me feel 20 years younger. I just don’t understand why my son isn’t as addicted to chlorine fumes as I am. I don’t think he is really mine. When is the maternity test? I kid. I kid. No 19 year old is as obsessive as that without being directly related to me. ;P
Rose says
LET’S GO SWIMMING! I was on the swim team for 6 years. I feel like I spent my entire adolescence under water and even now, swimming feels like I’ve discovered a new planet.
Tanya says
LET’S GO SWIMMING!!
I love the water and usually end up in the pool playing with my kids!!
Colleen says
LET’S GO SWIMMING! I may have been a fish in a past life… LOVE the water!

Lets go swimming! Water and I don’t get along terribly well, but I enjoy wading when it’s so hot in the summer!
Jennifer G says
LET’S GO SWIMMING!
I love the water & am fairly certain I was either a fish in a past life or an explorer stranded in a very, very dry desert.
keegan says
let’s go swimming! love the water, but also love lounging/reading/drinking/floating, so don’t always need to be swimming laps or anything as intense as that!
Anna says

Any B says
LET’S GO SWIMMING! I’m trying to learn to swim better for my first triathlon and also planning to spend Saturday mornings with my 5 month old son at baby swimming sessions at the community centre

LET’S GO SWIMMING! We just moved away from the Disney-area of FL after living there for 4 years and we LOVED the long swimming season! I prefer a nice waterpark or pool to swimming in natural water though, I’m always paranoid about what I’m stepping on.
Karly says
Lets Go Swimming! Love the water. Have the fondest memories of spending all summer at the pool and beach as a kid =)
Melissa says
LET’S GO SWIMMING!

Nicolle says
LET’S GO SWIMMING! I love to take my little ones to the pool. We go at least once a week.

LET’S GO SWIMMING!
…except I don’t. Being in a sailboat that overturns when you’re four years old can do that to a person. Strangely enough, though, I still love BEING on boats, I just don’t like being in the water!
Heather says
LET’S GO SWIMMING! I used to be a bigger swimmer than I am now but who doesn’t love getting in a cool pool on a hot day?
Corinne says
LET’S GO SWIMMING!
I love to lounge in the pool or just simply float or walk along in the water. Too bad the only pool I go to now is the little kiddie pool I bought for my dog!
Hannah G says
LET’S GO SWIMMING! I have terrible memories of swimming lessons … I prefer the “beach” part of going to the beach :)

LET’S GO SWIMMING! I fully intend to frequent the pool and get zero relaxation while I watch my 2 and 3 year old sons splash around and squeal in delight!!

Sarah S says
LET’S GO SWIMMING! I WANT to be a swimmer! Every time I actually get myself in gear and hit the YWCA pool, it’s so relaxing, but it’s easy to say hopping on the treadmill or lounging by the pool on vacation is less hassle :-(
Kaitlin G says
LET’S GO SWIMMING!
I admit I’d rather lay by the pool and get some color on these bones however it doesn’t mean I don’t like to swim. Very much looking forward to the opening!
Sheila says
LET’S GO SWIMMING! I am actually taking my 18 month old swimming tonight! He loves the water (possibly because he was a water birth?) and this is our third session of community ed swimming “lessons” with his friends. I love the bonding time with him – although trying to get dry and dressed with a wet toddler is not the easiest thing in the world!
Emily says
LET’S GO SWIMMING!
I love the water! Last year we moved to a new city and discovered that our new house is near an outdoor public pool- at the beach :) It’s a saltwater pool too, so we can choose to float around in the ocean or the salty pool, lol. I can’t wait for it to open for the season!!

It depends on my mood – normally I’m more of a lounger (or reader while floating on a raft), but lately I’ve been thinking that swimming would be a good stress reliever! Either way, I LOVE these prints!

LET’S GO SWIMMING! I love the water. I lived at our neighborhood pool when I was a child. I even have fond memories of one summer when my father was unemployed and he took us to the pool almost every day. My parents probably remember that summer a little differently then I do!
