This giveaway can be summed up in two words (well, one’s technically just a letter): Z Gallerie.
The fine people at the big Z.G. have been very good to us (you may remember the kind birthday present they recently sent Sherry), and now they’re about to be very good to one of you. They’ve graciously offered up not one, not two, not even just three, but FOUR pieces of their collection to one lucky reader. And we can personally vouch for each item because (here’s our favorite part) they’re all accessories that we’ve purchased for our own home. Yep, consider it your own little Young House Love starter kit of sorts. It includes:
The Large Atlantis Clam Shell (which we use as a fruit bowl in our kitchen, priced at $45)…
…Sherry’s cherished white Ceramic Rhino (priced at $25)…
…and two, count ’em two, Lucerne Sconces (totalling $80):
That’s $150 worth of our favorite items from Z Gallerie. We had to buy ’em all (actually, I think every single one was a birthday present for Sherry at some point) but one of you is going to get them all on the house. To enter just comment on this post with the words “FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!” by Wednesday, May 6th at 8pm EST. And while you’re there, we’d love to hear what you might consider a “signature item” in your home. Maybe something that you think is “so you” or that your friends would say is perfectly representative of your style. This giveaway is only open to US residents and only one entry per e-mail address is permitted. We’ll announce the randomly selected winner on Thursday. Good luck…
Oh, and is anyone surprised that all of the items are white? Didn’t think so…

I would enter this giveaway for the clam shell alone (but I’m thrilled at the chance to win all its lovely friends too)!

I’m having a hard time deciding between the clam shell bowl and the sconces. Love them both!

My signature item is my chocolate brown microfiber sofa, chair & ottoman (I consider it one item, as it’s all seating). It’s “me” because it’s basic without being boring. I can freshen it with new throw pillows in seasonal colors, yet feel comfortable enough to eat ice cream on it with my kids (wipe it clean & it looks fantastic). It’s like the perfect pair of jeans: comfortable, stylish, and goes with anything.

My signature item is a framed studio photo of my mother and aunts as children with my grandparents. It was taken in the twenties.

“From your house to mine!” I love it, love all of the beautiful things you display in your home, my signature would either have to be a white porcelain cake plate or some kind of cute little ceramic bird, they are both all over my house!
Jeremy says
FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE! If you asked me the signature item in our house isn’t in the house… it’s my Beetle sitting in the driveway, waiting for me to build it a garage. I don’t know what else we’d consider a “signature” item inside the house.

Each of these pieces would fit in our home perfectly. My signature item is a huge vintage collage made by a highschool senior class in 1969 on a piece of wood. I bought it at a garage sale and it is just perfect.

My signature item would have to be the ceramic squirrel I bought from West Elm because I raised a squirrel and it’s a story I tell everyone. I couldn’t resist buying it because it holds the story of my pet squirrel!

Our signature piece is probably the piano that was my grandmother’s. It was her very first piece of furniture in her home. At the time, they had no money to buy it but she demanded it anyway. (Wish that worked on my husband.)

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE! The signature piece in my house is an old globe I bought in a Colorado thrift store for $5, then saw in a vintage shop in NYC for close to $400! I love a great deal. I swung by Z Gallerie on W. Bwy a week ago and was so sad to see it had closed, so I’d love to have their great stuff in my house!

My signature pieces are my family’s traditional Scottish tartan and coat of arms. I’m very proud of my heritage and so I try to incorporate the traditional in with my otherwise more modern decor.

I think our signature piece would be a sterling silver bowl with a dragon fly sitting on top. It was a wedding gift and has always set on our entry table as
a catch all for keys, change and receipts.
I hope all the people commenting are voting for your porch. It reminds me of when they serve dinner after church, attendance doubles.

From your house to mine! Our signature home item is a fridge full of food that our friends know is always there for munching.

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE! Hmm… now I feel like I need to get a signature item! For now, it would probably have to be a large gold sunburst bowl from C&B on our coffee table.

My signature is my gorgeous area rug. Its huge, plush, and complements everything in the room. Our living room would be blah without it.

Mt signature items are my rocks. It is a collection that is meaningful to me – places I have been, stages of life I have survived, etc. My dear friends have moved them more times than they would like, but they always comment that they would only move rocks for me.

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE! I know my wife would love to win this giveaway, so I’m entering for her. For me, the signature item in our house is my man-room/office that is University of Alabama themed. She let me have one room in the house to express my love for all things Alabama… Roll Tide!

My signature item is a piece of art I painted years ago. I am by no means an artist (i copied it from a picture I found in a magazine), but I love the colors and it has traveled with me to every place I’ve made my home in the last 10 years.

From your house to mine!! I love your website, and I love that you’re so creative but still watching the dollars. So many people don’t combine the two! My signature item is probably Crate & Barrel’s Cinnabar Floral Teapot that I got as a wedding gift. It’s simple, but pretty.

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE… I would say our signature pieces would be any thing Asian, specifically Japanese. We have kokeshi dolls, a manekineko and other little things.

My signature piece would have to be an oil painting of a cow I did in high school. Public schools have such a minimal budget for art that it was done on a piece of cardboard! Put it in a frame and you’ve got yourself a real piece of art.

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!!! I think my signature piece is my fabulous rug I made with a variety of leather belts.

Home is where your HEART is.
We recently were married and one of our favorite places to go is Eureka Springs, AR. Our first time to go since the wedding bells rang, we saw this gorgeous piece of art that we just KNEW we had to have. It is an original by a local artist and it is a painting of a abstract heart. We love it and it definitely describes. We were so happy to hang it in our bedroom in our newly purchased home last week!
Here is a link to it. http://thebuies.blogspot.com/2009/03/home-is-where-your-heart-is.html

Thanks for the opportunity. For us, the signature item(s) is/are flowers. I always have a fresh bouquet, often more. My friends all comment on the rare occasion I’m between bouquets, too!

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE! My signature item is a large pair of wood angel wings that I splurged for a couple of years ago. They are rustic and meaningful, just my style.
