This giveaway can be summed up in two words (well, one’s technically just a letter): Z Gallerie.
The fine people at the big Z.G. have been very good to us (you may remember the kind birthday present they recently sent Sherry), and now they’re about to be very good to one of you. They’ve graciously offered up not one, not two, not even just three, but FOUR pieces of their collection to one lucky reader. And we can personally vouch for each item because (here’s our favorite part) they’re all accessories that we’ve purchased for our own home. Yep, consider it your own little Young House Love starter kit of sorts. It includes:
The Large Atlantis Clam Shell (which we use as a fruit bowl in our kitchen, priced at $45)…
…Sherry’s cherished white Ceramic Rhino (priced at $25)…
…and two, count ’em two, Lucerne Sconces (totalling $80):
That’s $150 worth of our favorite items from Z Gallerie. We had to buy ’em all (actually, I think every single one was a birthday present for Sherry at some point) but one of you is going to get them all on the house. To enter just comment on this post with the words “FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE!” by Wednesday, May 6th at 8pm EST. And while you’re there, we’d love to hear what you might consider a “signature item” in your home. Maybe something that you think is “so you” or that your friends would say is perfectly representative of your style. This giveaway is only open to US residents and only one entry per e-mail address is permitted. We’ll announce the randomly selected winner on Thursday. Good luck…
Oh, and is anyone surprised that all of the items are white? Didn’t think so…

Signature item? I dont suppose dog hair counts? OK, its not actually that bad – she’s just shedding lots now. the actual items are probably old family photos. We are fortunate to have, probably thousands, back 4 and 5 generations on both sides of my family. I have 30-40 framed in various collections around the house.

From Your House to Mine! What a lovely birthday present these fabo ZG items would be for my 31st next week. I cherish the big metal letter T (for our last name) that we found a flea market, that used to be part of a cinema’s signage.

For better or worse, I would say my signature piece is a giant (approx. 5 feet wide) piece of “art” that I found/made. It’s one side of a 6-sided watermelon carton that was originally the size of a hut tub. It has two children eating watermelon (in a fun but funky “Black Hole Sun” kind of look) on it. I found it at my college dining hall’s loading dock and begged the foreman to let me drag it back to my dorm courtyard, where I hand-sawed it down to one side. Et voila, my very own piece of oversize, one-of-a-kind art. I’ve had it for years and people always comment on how unique/fun it is. It currently lives on our kitchen wall above an island and lends great color to the space.
I would love something more sophisticated like the white shell bowl to put near it though! Thanks and love your blog and tweets!

My signature item(s) would be the pictures my husband and I have collected from traveling all over the world! Right now we are in an apartment for a few months and don’t have a lot of stuff up but I hung a print of Melbourne, Australia, a little grouping of pictures from Ireland and some pictures from our wedding in the Dominican…it makes it feel a little more homey!
…and can I just say that I LOVE that clamshell??? I was actually thinking about it today (weird, I know) because I want to buy it as soon as I have a place to put it!!

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO MINE! Love the giveaways. My home signature item has gotta be my “hanky panky” coffee table. It’s vintage, weathered, and so moi. I had admired the table while it was on a woman’s boutique store. The table had jars filled with “hanky panky” undies! When I commented how I loved the table, the salesperson mentioned they might be getting rid of the display, so I gave my name & digits to contact. It was truly meant to be since I got a call from the owner and 2 weeks later, I was an ecstatic owner.

We have a hand carved tiki statue we bought on our honeymoon in Kauai. It’s meant to bring “love and prosperity” and fend off evil spirits. I really love how expressive his face is!
Definitely one of our signature items because we bought it together on one of our favorite trips, but I truly cherish all of our little keepsakes from our travels.

Wow … GREAT GIVEAWAY. I hope I win because I’m salivating over that clam shell bowl.
Signature items in my house would be lots and lots of cameras. I want to collect them, and add antique. I have a few from the late 80s right now. And I’m never without my baby, my Canon Rebel Digital SLR.
