FIX ME! My bathroom fixtures are so old. They are the original fixtures when the house was built in 1964.
NYer says
FIX ME! The hexagon floor tiles are cracked an have been patched in places with tiles an 1/8″ smaller, so the patches don’t fit properly and it’s a mess!
Joanna Hamp says
FIX ME!!!
My bathroom is pretty desperate. The detachable shower head falls off every time we turn the water on, the stuck shower door tries to come off its track every time it’s opened, the trim is coming off the bottom of the vanity, the tile is cracked at the base of the toilet and the light fixture is positioned so poorly that I put my makeup on in the bedroom so that I can see my face without shadows! We’re saving our pennies for a remodel and this would help sooooo much.
Dawn says
FIX ME!! There is more water that comes out of the faucet when the shower is on than comes out of the shower head :(

We have all original faucets in our two 60’s baths
that can no longer be repaired.
Molly says
FIX ME! My bathroom floors are the thing most desperately in need of an update. Old, ugly linoleum with patch marks and burn (?) marks everywhere. I’ve got my rugs strategically placed in the meantime :)
Nancy says
Fix me! My shower is a disaster!
Shauna says
fix me! Our tub surround has seen better days!
Marlene says
FIX ME! Our master bath needs an update!
Chelsea says
FIX ME! Everything needs to be fixed, since we’re in the middle of gutting our bathroom. What we really need most though is a new toilet… or all new fixtures!
Tara says
Fix Me!
My bathroom is TERRIBLE! The tiny shower has cracked tiles all over and isn’t working. Our old blue toilet has duct tape holding the toilet seat together. The sink is cracked and the rusted mirror over it doesn’t stay closed (its of the 60’s medicine cabinet variety). Needless to say it is currently used as storage, but would really be nice if we could use it!
Oren says
FIX ME! I would like to replace the dated sink in the guest bathroom.
Brenda says
FIX ME!
We are in the process of searching for a house, so not sure what will need the most updating, yet! But this would be an awesome addition to our new place.
Amanda says
FIX ME! The list of needed updates in our *only* bathroom is very long! We have a moldy window inside the shower (that is going to be fixed very soon), cracked and outdated tile, a TINY pedestal sink, and a medicine cabinet mirror that is so low my husband has to squat in order to shave! Eeek!

Our bathroom has not been updated since the house was built in the late fifties. The pink tiles could be charming, if the other fixtures weren’t in such a terrible state of disrepair!

Fix Me
says 20+ years because I lack the luster and strength I seek.
Fix Me

Fix Me
says 20+ years because pink tiles and gold colors can be beat.
Fix Me

My bathroom is in need of close to everything…i did strip, sand, and re-stain the cabinet that is there, and put new hardware on the drawers, and we painted the walls as a “for now” fix, but everything else needs to go! this would help out so much!
Rachel Show says
FIX ME!
Need a new shower head desperately!!
Eliza says
FIX ME!
Our master bathroom shower has those horrible sliding glass doors on a track. It is the bane of my existence as I cannot seem to ever get the tracks or door clean enough. If $ was no expense, I’d rip the whole thing out and install a fully tiled open walk-in shower with no doors. Ahhh….
Ann carmichael says
Fix me! My bathroom was shakey when I bought the house 24 years ago! I’ve limped it along with paint/wallpaper/borders (yep, that’s what we did in the 90’s!) and finally had the money for the remodel when my daughter announced she was getting married this summer. What’s one more coat of paint? No more border, a new shower curtain and plans for summer of 2013 remodel! But I still have another daughter so who knows!
Susan says
FIX ME!!
My husband and I bought our first home last summer.. definitely a fixer-upper. It has all its original fixtures from 1965! We would love to redo our hallway bathroom that has mustard yellow tub and toilet with matching floral wallpaper :) Right now it’s the bathroom our 17month old son uses but with another little one on the way, we would love to redo the bathroom before her arrival!
Megan says
FIX ME!
We updated our bathroom a few years ago, but pinched pennies to get what we wanted, and now the fixutres just look old and grungy. New fixtures – including a light would be a perfect remedy to make it feel like a new bathroom again!
Jenny says
FIX ME! Our master bath has a number of unfinished projects that need attention! This would be a wonderful opportunity to tackle them!!
Carol says
FIX ME! The bathroom was created in the 60s. That should tell the story. It could sure use an update, and these fixtures would be perfect!
Carrie says
FIX ME
In our upstairs bathrooms we’ve painted and updated fixtures…but the downstairs one is untouched. And the floors in all of them are definitely on the “need help” list. There’s only so much bath rugs can do for a terrible tile job!
Cassidy says
Fix me! My bathroom has the original tile from 1950, which is in GREAT shape on the floor, but terrible shape in the shower. Can’t wait to tear it out and start from scratch!
carisa says

Just bought a house and the sink faucet doesn’t work, the cold doesn’t turn on and the hot spills water out the side!! It needs a serious update ;)
Melissa says

I would have to say the tiles falling off our shower wall is driving me nuts! Our whole bathroom needs an overhaul so this would be very much appreciated :)

FIX ME!
Our main floor bath is from the 50’s, and hasn’t been updated since! We have green tile everywhere – on the floor, on the walls, on the counter.. I would definitely love to update the whole thing, but the biggest thing I’d like to change right now is the counter/vanity.
Colin says
FIX ME! Our bathrooms aren’t bad, but we could use some new light fixtures.
Kathleen Britton says
Fix Me!!! We’ve got two tiny, tiny bathrooms in desperate need of pretty much everything. The downstairs bath has tile walls which are nice enough until you take a look at the colors: a light, minty green and two different and clashing shades of yellow. The upstairs bath features the world’s tiniest shower; it fits my 7 year old – barely. (He’d also be the first to tell you that he’d really like to have a tub/shower up there that has a drain stopper so he can go swimming.)Needless to say, the joint needs some classing up :)!
Dara says
FIX ME!!! We are buying a house right now and everything is builder grade or worse. So we will definitely need some new fixtures in our future.
Melissa says
FIX ME…Please. My guest bathroom is in desperate need of new fixtures. The tub fixture is broken and we have to hold on the handle to turn it on. My sister thought it was a pull on the handle kind when low and behold it was a turn kind…anyways…I would love an excuse for an upgrade! :)
Kathryn S says
Fix me. We are planning to add a second bathroom and this would be a great head start.
Tasha says
FIX ME! It’s a early 90s beige nightmare.
Tryphena says
FIX ME!!
My bathroom is in need of a serious upgrade! My floors are cracked and gross, my tub needs re-surfaced, and my vanity doesn’t fit right due to the plumbing for the sink. We tried to make the vanity work, but now the one drawer doesn’t open and sits crooked. Please help my bathroom!!
Carol says

My kids bath has this awful yellow faux marble countertop. It’s got to go.
Beryl says
“FIX ME”
I’m ready to retile my entire hall bathroom!!
Ashlie says
FIX ME!!! Out bathroom is the most dreaded part of our entire 1933 home!! The worst part.. The shower. Lets just take “a shower in the life of an Ashlie” to detail this pain in my neck. Wake up, squeE through the narrow hallway of a bathroom, pull out SEVERAL bathmats because we know all too well the leaking this baby is capable of . Hop in and grab the magnets off the top rim, yea magnets. Put them on the bottom of the shower curtain to hold it to the tub instead o clinging to your shaving cream covered leg. Try to adjust the water temperature from scalding to mildly burning by shoving the handy dandy washcloth into the side of the faucet to try to make the faucet handles from slowly turning on full hotness. If you want to avoid the washcloth Or forgot one all together you can always do the flamingo and stand with one leg behind you holding the handle in place. On to actually washing yourself ans your hair . Shove youraelf up the shower head and be sure to stand snug with the wall so the 3 inch water circumfrence actually hits you . After shoving the flailing curtain back to its proper spot and using several mild profanities undo the magnets which will inevitably stick together and take you ten minutes to undo because of course they are super strong when you don’t want them to be. Jump out and dry off…the floor that is. Then yourself and wrap up in a cozy little kid towel because your boys took the big ones. Ahhh sooo relaxing. Can’t wait to do it again!
And although that’s the worst part it’s definitely not the only sucky part. The old “but it’s super bright” says the husband vanity light that is old NOT in a good way. The plug in the sink that just works overtime and plugs every time we turn the water on. And of course my diet plan hallway that threatens me every time with “don’t gain weight or you won’t make it to the toilet”. And who would want that? I mean I can soak my feet in the tub and wash my hands at the same time as sitting in that toilet. No I h e not really tried that.
I really need some new bathroom goodness!!!!!!!!
