My guest bathroom is a 1980’s disaster and everything needs to be replaced!

FIX ME! Ahh, this would be amazing! We’re trying to upgrade our bathrooms from “1992 builder basic” and everything must go. Soon. :)

I am actually in the middle of a remodel! My 35 yr old ranch house has a bathroom in olive green and the fixtures that are still the originals were once some kind of gold but that’s worn off in many places. The tub/shower is plastic, olive green, and I have had just the pipe sticking out of the wall for the water spigot – the original won’t stay on!
Kim Greene says
FIX ME! Who puts a wood window in the shower??? Needless to say, it needs replaced before the wood complete rots out!
Brandy says
FIX ME! We just moved into a new house this weekend, and the bathroom is the only room that isn’t move-in ready. The cracked green tiles on the vanity, the dated blue/gray/cream alternating tiles in the bathtub, and non-matching vinyl floor need to go! Oh, and the cracked toilet back cover. Ugh!

our small guest bathroom was renovated a few years back but we have yet to add any fixtures for a hand towel nor the toilet paper…the TP sits on the back of the toilet…so classy. We don’t use that bathroom much so it hasn’t been a priority for us

FIX ME! Our house is a 100-year-old renovation project in a historical Texas community. Everything in the bathroom must go!!
Ceejay says
Fix Me!!! Please!!!! Previous owner diy-ed everything in this sad boring bathroom and not in a good way. This would be amazing.

FIX ME!
We’ve been in our house for a year now and both bathrooms (especially the hall) suffer from poorly done cheapie contractor “remodels” that desperately need to be de-remodeled. Honestly, I WISH I had the original 1972 bathrooms because at least the fixtures would be of good quality compared to what is in there now!
christena says
FIX ME! we just moved into a house built in 1970 and the bathrooms are original!! both of them need a complete redo, but the upstairs is way worse. It has yellow-green bathtub/toilet/sink combo with gold flecked tile accents. These fixtures look amazing!

Fix me please!!
Mollie says
FIX ME :) the whole thing is woeful, really. it’s a 5’x8′ rectangle of 50’s goodness, gone very bad over the years…cracks, stains, sloping floors, rust, you name it!
Angela DQ says
FIX ME! My hallway bathroom is ancient and peeling. Time to update it for sure.
Nina says
FIX ME! Please! :)
Our bathroom has a super shallow tub and I can’t take any baths in it because half my body is sticking out and I get cold. And the tiles are starting to fall off because whoever did put them on didn’t do a very good job. We are planning to redo our bathroom this fall so winning the fixture would be a huge step in the right direction…

Both baths need updating. The master especially, with cracked floor tiles, an enormous impractical tub, tiny pedestal sink, grody shower and purple paint!
schmei says
FIX ME! Our master bathroom faucet is dated, squeaky and really not my style…

Fix me!!! We just bought a fixer upper and are about to begin bathroom rennovations next month! Everything has got to go!!

I’d love to update our builder basic bathroom! It is screaming for some more love and attention. I recently painted it a bright green- I would call it a tulip-stem lime green. I love just love it. The sinks are next! Thanks!

FIX ME! My guest bathroom needs a new shower! The fixtures are from 1982!!
Lisa D. says
FIX ME! Actually the faucet in our downstairs bath needs to be replaced so this is the perfect item for us.
Taysha says
FIX ME. Our one-piece fiberglass tub/shower cracked right in the middle of the floor. It has been unusable for about 9 months but my husband is unmotivated to breakout the old sledgehammer and get it out of there. So we continue to share a shower with the kids… New fixtures might be the much needed motivation to start working on this project!

FIX ME! Original 1963 everything! Bathroom Needs Fixin’!!

The toilet, tub, tile surround, and sheet rock in our bathroom could use an update. Sounds like a lot, but it is just a 5×8 standard bathroom. Vanity, sink, faucet, floor tile, mirror, and storage were updated by the previous owners, but they left the other fixtures (from 1980!).

What a fantastic freebie! Our master bathroom is in desperate need of a makeover. The parts that drive me especially batty are the gold and silver fixtures! Although the white carpet (yes – white carpet!!!) and white cabinets leave plenty to be desired.
Thanks for the awesome freebie opportunity!

Like you we’re DIY-ing things one room at a time. So we still have a 3/4 bath that hasn’t been touched yet; cracked shower tiles, peeling ceiling paint, gross toilet, cabinet holding the sink damaged from moisture. We also have a 1/2 bath in the basement that has its original harvest gold toilet and sink. If we hold off on re-doing that one the color may come back in style!
Laura says
FIX ME!! Plumbing fixtures are old and nasty- no amount of cleaning will help!
Amanda says
Fix Me! We brought our house a year ago and to say the least it’s incredibly outdated. Over the last year we’ve been painting and staining and replacing light fixtures and appliances but now we’re finally at a point where we can’t avoid the big projects any longer. The bathroom is first on our list!!!!!! The linoleum is brown and cream and looks like someone vomitted, the counter tops cream , the sinkas are knicked and chipped, the tub.. well let’s just say it completely needs to be replaced along with the surround because it probablly wouldn’t meet a healthcode. HAHA! the whole thing is nothing but disaster. My husband and I have moved it to the priority list because we are thinking about starting a family and can’t have a bathroom like this anylonger. This would be absolutely a blessing to get started!

Fix me, please!!!
We started on our main bath renovation, but still need new tile for the shower and new lights. Our second bathroom is so bad I don’t even like to go in it… needs new everything!
Megan says
FIX ME, please! Our master bath currently has a hole to the ground, as we’re in process of DIY-ing! The shower is pretty desperate (hasn’t been used for a year!), due to an old leak and unclean-able mildew. We’d be so happy with help on this huge undertaking!
Phoebe says
FIX ME! I am moving into a new apartment this weekend, and the bathroom fixtures are hideous! From the towel bars, to the sing faucet, to the vanity, everything needs a serious update!
amanda says
FIX ME!! My master bath is quite small and the vanity is not only small but is shorter than the standard height vanity and looks so tiny in there. would love to be able to update this room. Thanks!!

We are hoping to close on our first house soon and I can’t wait to upgrade, DIY and refresh everything in the house (inspired by you- never would have imagined doing some of the things that I am now like, “eh, that’s no problem)!
I have an old dark walnut library table (broken) in storage that I can’t wait to turn into a bathroom vanity with a top mounted sink bowl!

FIX ME! I couldn’t decide what to get for my master bathroom so I got a $6.00 towel rack. Needless to say, it looks just like a $6.00 towel rack!
Thx!

My fiance and I bought our first home a few months ago and we are DIYing the heck out of it! It is a 1920s bungalow that needs lots of love. The bathroom is in progress, but we have yet to buy any fixtures. This fab freebie would be a pretty sweet treat to help complete our bathroom!

We did a mini update to the bathroom last year, but we still have a PINK BATHTUB! Since the shower curtin hides it.. it’s not that terible for our occasional guests but we know what’s hiding behind it!!!!!eek!
Sonya says
Fix Me! I had a roommate switch out the old shower head for a hideous new one a few years ago without telling me and I didn’t notice (not my bathroom) until he was long gone. I haven’t gotten around to replacing it (since it pretty much works) but this would be an awesome way to upgrade that whole bathroom!

FIX ME! The most desperate part of the master bath in our new home… carpet! Yes, carpet in the bathroom. How the original owners lived with it all those years I’ll never understand.
