FIX ME! We just bought our first house and the shower in the master bath is a mess of shiny brass, tiny shower head and icky textured glass. I would love to revamp it all!
Devin says
FIX ME! Closing on our first home this month and none of the bathrooms have been renovated since the 70s (if not not before!). We need it all, but top of the list are sinks, they’re old and too short for my poor hubby, can’t wait for taller (and prettier) sinks complete with new fixtures (we hope!).
Laura Zarrin says
FIX ME! It’s hard to pick just one thing in our master bathroom. From the tarnished gold fixtures (gag!) to the 2″ skin colored tile accented with a lovely burgundy coordinating tile which is even on the ceiling (it’s nauseating), our bathroom is one disgusting mess of ugly.
Lady J says
Fix Me!! We just bought a house and all the bathrooms have carpet. What were they thinking. That is the first thing that has to go.
Tamara says
FIX ME
actually probably in most desperate need of repair is the coating on our tub… it is slowly coming off every time we scrub ‘er clean! yikes.
MaryVZ says
FIX ME!
Our bathroom sink is in the shape of a giant sea shell. You read that correctly, someone decided that a giant sea shell sink was a great idea. Other than the fact that ocean-themed decorating is not really our thing, the sink also functions terribly. Due to the shell shape, you have to aim your toothpaste spit straight for the drain, or it falls back into the body of the shell, which is the lowest part of the sink, and doesn’t drain at all. gross!

Fix Me! Our 1974 toilets need.to.go. I have never heard a louder flush.
Michele says
FIX ME PLEASE! My future home bathroom needs all of this to complete the look I really, really want!
Jenny K. says
Fix me!
I despise the tile window sill in our shower, which slants the wrong way so water always pools in it.
Maggie says
Fix me! I am 1/3 through a bathroom facelift right now.
Laura says
FIX ME!
How could I pick one thing. I live in a house that is a 120 years old and probably hasn’t been updated in ooo about 40! It all needs work!
Katie says
FIX ME! My bathroom tile in stuck in 1972.. mustard yellow..ew gross! Needs an update bad!!
Lauren says
FIX ME!!!
Came back from vacation to find that our only toilet is on the fritz. Whompers. The bathroom as a whole could use some major help. This would be awesome!!!

Both my tiny bathrooms need some loving. One needs a whole Lotta it.
Dani VanRyn says
FIX ME! We desperately need to update the almond fiberglass tub/ surround in our guest bath, it’s horrible! :(
Jessica says
Fix Me! Oh my where do I start? Our only bathroom has walls that are solid marble from floor to about 5ft high & it is hideous! Not to mention the people who installed it about 60+ years ago cut out half of the trim around the doors, cabinet & window to add even more hideous marble. Our toilet & sink are just as old as the marble. Our hot knob broke off this past spring but we haven’t replaced it yet because the whole sink needs replaced & I don’t want to install it twice. All of our towel rods, tooth brush holder & soap holder is fixed into the marble. Our mirrored vanity is at least 80 years old & is rusted & flaking in some spots as well as inside, so it too needs replaced! Oh my! my list could go on & on! Finances have been holding us back on replacing anything so this would be a HUGE blessing!

fix me! I would LOVE to be able to replace the old tub in our bathroom – it has a convex back, so taking a bath is not very relaxing! With a new tub, new faucets – that aren’t calcium covered would be amazing!
Amanda says
Fix me!
Our shower caulking has worn away a bit, so now a little puddle forms on the floor next to the shower. It’s such a small fix, but we really need to just do it!
aly wags says
FIX ME! We have a nice half bath on the first floor of our house, but the light fixture in there looks like it cost 9.99 at the most. Cheap, painted metal beck with ugly exposed bulbs, yech.
I would love to update the fixtures in my upstairs bath! The whole room is ok but really could use an update. I wouldnt buy these items myself because our current fixtures are working ok and not horrifically ugly. Just regular ugly.
thanks for having this contest!
Tina says
Fix Me!!! I actually need new faucets. Ours are the stock ones that have been in there for years and are icky! Help!
Tim says
FIX ME!
My faucet and shower head are from the 1981 remodel of our house…they could use to be updated!
Melissa says
FIX ME!
Our sink and cabinet are terrible. They just look icky no matter how much I scrub and scrub. They could definitely stand to be replaced.
chelsey says
Fix me!!
The 2nd bathroom in our home was re-done by the previous owners and although updated, it could use a little bit of pizazz and new fixtures would give it just that!
Julianne says
FIX ME!! My husband and I bought our first home (a fixer upper!) about a year and a half ago. We’ve slowly been making our way through remodeling, repainting, and repairing. We made our master bath decent (seeing as a whole tear down wasn’t financially feasible at that time), but our dream is to tear out the bright pink and peach tiles, the old vanity that has drawers that don’t slide and start from scratch!
Kim says
FIX ME! Our guest bath needs a complete overhaul. The builders installed only drywall behind the tile and then didn’t seal the grout properly. It needs to be completly gutted and redone. We’ve already had to redo the master bath b/c of the same issue. Boo! :(
Mary T says
FIX ME!
Our 1960 bathroom is charmingly vintage, but there’s nothing charming about our lack of shower in the lovely blue bathtub. We’ve been planning to add one for ages and this might be just the impetus we need. Fix me, please! Thanks for the opportunity!
anna says
FIX ME! my bathroom has hideous blue everything- tub, sink, floors and walls!
Maria Bingham says
FIX ME. I would use this in our master bath! It has the same fixtures from when it was built in 1978. It is one of the last rooms in the house for the wrecking ball…Thanks Lowes and YHL! -Maria

Two words – Gold Fixtures.
Jessica Anderson says
FIX ME!!
Our old chipped mirror would be the first thing to go!
Amy says
Fix me! My bathroom has the standard plastic covered handles! It would inspire a great renovation!
Ashley D says
FIX ME! My husband and I just bought a new house and ALL of the bathrooms are in desperate need of a redo! The master in particular — the whole place is NAS-TY. We could totally use this giveaway!!
Lisa says
FIX ME! (Please!!) I’d go with the poorly patched holes in the shower tile from where the original faucets were removed. Doubly sad that they took out the originals AND did a junky job of “fixing” the sites.
Stephanie H says
Fix me … both of our bathrooms need to be gutted.
Jaye says
FIX ME!!! Due to a faulty sub floor issue in our first house (closes in 3.weeks.from. today!!!!) I’m “forced” to
Fix the bathroom… And I’m taking the opportunity to redo the WHOLE THING! :Insert cheers here: I’ve got tile, vanity, tub picked(and in mood board format that I cant stop showing off!) thanks for that idea, among other!!!…. Really lost in the fixture world! What better way to make a decision than win a whole bunch of great stuff that matches, with no brain power/wallet power used! I find so much confidence reading your blog and knowing other people are pulling off my vision of a crazy DIY family project (27month old and all!) thanks for the motivation!
Lora K. says
FIX ME! Our bathroom floor is a vinyl mess and I would love to replace it with some beautiful tile. The entire vanity, mirror, and lighting area could also be replaced…I would prefer something clean and chic over the 70’s look that is currently happening in that room. Yea, we need help!
Hannah says
FIX ME!
Uhh, where do I start? :) Our bathroom, since we moved in, remains basically untouched so far. It’s outdated and oogly — from the faux gold plated fixtures to the bandaid colored ceiling-to-floor tile to the pink floors :\ I just puked in my mouth thinking about it.
Christy says
FIX ME!
Previous owners painted bathroom alternating stripes of bubble gum pink and cotton candy pink. Need I say more?
Lisa @ Fit in the Midwest says
FIX ME! We desperately need a new tub. Oh and another sink, but there is no room for one!
Rachel says
FIX ME!!! Our bathroom has cracked sinks and awful gold fixtures – this could really help clean it up!
Alicia says
FIX ME!!
My whole bathroom is awful! The door doesn’t open all the way. It has the giant in wall medicine cabinet and shelf from 1952, a cheap toilet and vanity sink combination, broken tile flooring, and a gross vinyl tub surround. The worst part though, is that there all of the walls are covered in pleastic paneling that is supposed to look like tile with purple flowers.
Rebecca S. says
Fix me! We are in the process of a very slow bathroom remodel and currently have no sink or vanity and several enormous holes in the drywall.
Shevon says
FIX ME!!! I’ve mentioned this before but the worst things in my master bath are the trifecta of almond colored tub/sinks/toilet. They do go quite well with my carpeting in the entire bathroom though. Lots to do in there.
Tori H says
FIX ME!
My current bathroom features “Hollywood” lighting which makes me feel special, but isn’t really my style. The floor is old-yellowed vinyl and there is an awkwardly large space between the toilet and the counter (both on the same wall) as if they forgot to install a bidet or something of the sort!
Mimi says
FIX ME! Everything in my bathroom needs updating. Fixtures, hardware, lighting, towel bars, toilet, sink…no joke John and Sherry, ev-er-y-thing!!!! You don’t know how much I need this.
Sandra says
FIX ME!! My bathroom is tiled in salmon pink from floor to ceiling, it desperately needs to be updated
Natalie says
“FIX ME!”
I am in need of a new bathroom vanity, my current one is sporting some mold that I can’t get rid of!!!
crystal barnes says
FIX ME!
My bathroom actually needs new walls. Go figure. They’re all bowed out funny. Next would probably be the sink faucet for the Mr. For some reason it keeps sticking so you can’t turn the cold water on all the way.
