If you read this morning’s post about DIYing some wood shelves for the nursery, then it should come as no surprise that this week’s giveaway is from Kreg Tools. They’re giving one of you the chance to take home their Kreg Jig, so – no matter your skill level – you can feel like real woodworker.
After all, I hardly consider myself to be a master craftsman, but after my latest shelf-building adventure I’m itching to tackle more wood-related projects. They really can be addicting…
In addition to the Jig itself, this week’s winner will also be snagging a 675-piece Screw Kit, a Face Clamp and a set of project plans to get you started. So with all that at your disposal, I promise not to be jealous if you build something more complex than me. Here’s how to enter:
- PRIZE: A Kreg Jig, Screw Kit, Face Clamp and set of project plans.
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your dream wood-related project. Is there something you’ve always wished you could build? Or a renovation that you dream of tackling with your own two hands?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 7th at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: All 50 of the United States
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

There are so many projects we want to do, but the main reason this giveaway sounds so great is because I know my husband would just go over the moon for this! My husband has some carpentry experience from a previous job, and is really interested in wood work. This looks like it would be an awesome set for him to get started with! Then, maybe one day, it could be used in his very own wood shop. :)

I’M GETTING JIGGY! And am dying to make shelves just like yours.

We bought our first house in Sept. 09. The backyard is awful and we have a grand plan…. part of which is building some wooden stairs. Also, I would like to build bookcases to go on either side of the windows in my living.

My grandfather and my father are fabulous woodworkers, building everything from a custom built in entertainment center…to building their own house, seriously. I’ve always wanted to follow in those footsteps,& I would love to be able to build basically anything when I the inspiration strikes!

My husband and I are actually planning to build our own cat tree soon. We’re pretty picky about design, but also on a budget, so neither the fully-covered-in-carpet cat tree nor the $2,000-for-a-36″ cat tree will work for us. A Kreg Jig set would sure help us!

I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY!!!
My mom was the handy-woman around our house (my dad was clueless about tools) so I learned how to do quite a bit of stuff when I was a kid but haven’t done much in quite a while. My dream project has always been to build or revamp furniture, and for years I’d try to imagine and think of ways to get exactly what I wanted for cheap (since I’ve been on college and then newlywed budgets). Knock Off Wood has come out with some great plans for things that are almost just what I want, so once we get a house I think I’ll be doing a lot of wood working to build what we need!

and would love to make something off of Ana at Knock Off Wood’s web site or even some of the shelves you did for the nursery. My husband has always been the guy who does all the handy work around the house but from reading a lot of DIY blogs I have lately been inspired to try my hand at some projects that to be honest, will probably never happen if left to my husband haha. Thanks for the great giveaway!!

My dad and I always had this (brilliant) idea to build a bird house on a stand that would actually be a tv cabinet for a very small tv. Such a cool idea… but we never got around to it before I went to college, got married, and moved states.
But there’s no time for like the present, right? Make my wood working dreams come true YHL!!
