When the folks from Two Paperdolls contacted us a couple of months ago about doing a giveaway (like they’d recently done on one of our favorite wedding sites) we knew it would be the perfect Wedding Week prize for you guys. Two Paperdolls – who are on the brink of launching a new e-commerce website with a whole new look – along with their sister site Louella Press are dishing out over $1000 worth of custom letterpress wedding (or party!) invitations. Amazing, eh? So all of you brides-to-be (or anyone else who just wants to throw a party) can cross one thing off of your to-do list.
If you don’t currently fall into the “engaged” category, go tell your nearest wife-to-be, mother-of-the-bride, or anyone else who is ready to give a killer engagement present about this fab little freebie. Or you yourself can use the prize for any other event or announcement that you’ve got around the corner (birthday party? baby shower? anniversary party? just-won-amazing-free-invitations party?). Louella Press designs gorgeous classic-yet-fresh invitation sets that are pretty much guaranteed to make an incredible first impression to any guest who is lucky enough to receive ’em.
We’ve chosen a few of our favorites here, but be sure to click over to Louella’s site to browse the full collection. Just note that these images show engraved invitations (raised ink) but the winner will be receiving equally-beautiful letterpress invite sets (which each include an invitation, envelope, rsvp card, and rsvp envelope). And if your event or announcement doesn’t need the RSVP card and envelope, feel free to convert it to a thank you card and envelope instead. Oh, and you’ll all be receiving an exclusive YHL discount on Thursday so stay tuned…
Here are this week’s full details:
- PRIZE: 50 single-color letterpress invitation sets (including 50 invitations, envelopes, rsvp cards, and rsvp envelopes) on your choice of either fluorescent white or pearl 110 pound paper, courtesy of Two Paperdolls and Louella Press
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “INVITE ME!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: … since we’re talking invitations and guest lists, tell us whether you prefer a large family-and-friend-filled wedding or a smaller more intimate event- or maybe even a destination wedding with just a handful of lucky travel companions.
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Our anniversary! (Wednesday, July 7th at 8pm EST)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: To the United States of America
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I’ve looked this company since I got engaged in October! We can’t afford it with the small budget, but Two Paperdolls is so close to our home. I love looking at all their creative ideas! Our wedding will be small in NYC! I can’t wait for our closest friends and family to celebrate with us and each other!

INVITE ME!!!
two paperdolls is actually a local business for me – they are literally right down the street! unfortunately they are out of my budget, but this would be the best way to represent a local company!
that being said… can i pick something a little in between intimate and big blow-out? we’re aiming for approx 125 peeps, and that’ll take care of our closest relatives (big fams!) and bestest friends. so excited :)
orly says
invite me please! our wedding had 100 guests. for us, we wanted to be surrounded by all of our family and friends, and it was just enough to feel like a big celebration, but not so crowded that we couldn’t spend time with our guests.

Invite me, please! I just finished designing my invitations and am looking to have them letter pressed! Having Two Paper Dolls print them would be divine! We’re getting married in October and I’d say we’re middle of the road size wise :)

INVITE ME!
Our wedding was just 75 family members and friends, and everyone contributed in one way or another, which made it feel like everyone’s wedding in the best possible way.
My cousin is taking the small wedding thing a step further this fall with a week long cruise with closest family and friends, including a beach ceremony in Mexico. I can’t wait!
Krizia says

I am getting married September 2011 and we are planning a mid size wedding with close family and friends. It’s going to be outdoorsy and casual and we found a great farm to do it on!!

i’m hoping for a small intimate wedding… hopefully less than 50 people!
Rachel says
INVITE ME!
Our wedding was a large friends and family type (if I were to re-do I would opt for the small, destination type or elope!). I would LOVE these invites for our annual new year’s bash or annual game-night party!!!! Yippee!
Marlow says
INVITE ME!!
My fiance and I are getting married on September 18th of this year and we really wanted a smaller wedding because we’re paying for everything ourselves (and we both work for non-profits!). Note the “wanted”. I have a BIG Southern family and my fiance is a loyal friend, so our guest list did max out at 130. At the end of the day, we have had to cut a lot of the “cute touches” that I wanted to re-create for our day but all that matters is that everyone we love will be there. (and get served BBQ!!) :)

As for the ideal size, I just got married and we ended up with our perfect size (110)–it was a great blowout, but in a destination-type place, so we got to spend the entire weekend with all of our friends and family.

We are having a small ceremony but then a larger reception.

I just got married in a big family and friend setting, and wouldn’t have it any other way! I loved having the people that support us with us on our wedding day. Too bad I won’t be needing the invitations myself though…
Tara H says

My wedding hosted 400 but managed to feel personal and intimate because EVERYTHING was done by family and friends. We spent a total of $1500 for everything and all the DIY touches and love that went into them were definitely felt. Between both of our enormous families there was no way to have a small wedding, but we still achieved the intimacy we desired.
Ann says
INVITE ME!
Our wedding included everyone who was near and dear to our hearts – and that was a lot of people (250ish?) Looking back I wouldn’t do a thing differently.
Kate says

What gorgeous invites. Love the letter press. Our wedding was bigger than we originally planned- 150 people or so, but I wouldn’t have done it any other way. There’s nothing like turning around after your first kiss and seeing the faces of nearly everyone you love in your life smiling at you! I’d love to use these invites for my husband’s 30th birthday party this winter.

…and our friends and family for an intimate wedding in a vineyard.

Oh my gosh, I LOVE letterpress. It gets me all giggly inside thinking that I have a chance at winning some. Ahh..I love going into stationery stores and touching their letterpress invite examples. It makes me drool :)
I prefer close family and friends. We also had a backyard wedding…but with 150 people, which still felt intimate because it was all people we know and love.

I loved the size of our wedding – about 85 people. For us, that was enough that everyone that really needed to be there was there, but not so many that we didn’t get to hang out with everyone.

Are y’all stalking my brain? It seems like every giveaway is something I am either planning or on my wishlist. My husband’s birthday is coming up. I’d love to do invitations in style!
I like small and intimate gatherings. My wedding had less than 20 people. I loved being able to speak to each one and actually remember the whole experience.

INVITE ME! My fiance would invite half of the Eastern seaboard if I let him, and we’ve got enough family and friends to do so, but we’ve limited ourselves to 100 so we can actually spend time with every guest. We are so excited to see all of them!
