When the folks from Two Paperdolls contacted us a couple of months ago about doing a giveaway (like they’d recently done on one of our favorite wedding sites) we knew it would be the perfect Wedding Week prize for you guys. Two Paperdolls – who are on the brink of launching a new e-commerce website with a whole new look – along with their sister site Louella Press are dishing out over $1000 worth of custom letterpress wedding (or party!) invitations. Amazing, eh? So all of you brides-to-be (or anyone else who just wants to throw a party) can cross one thing off of your to-do list.
If you don’t currently fall into the “engaged” category, go tell your nearest wife-to-be, mother-of-the-bride, or anyone else who is ready to give a killer engagement present about this fab little freebie. Or you yourself can use the prize for any other event or announcement that you’ve got around the corner (birthday party? baby shower? anniversary party? just-won-amazing-free-invitations party?). Louella Press designs gorgeous classic-yet-fresh invitation sets that are pretty much guaranteed to make an incredible first impression to any guest who is lucky enough to receive ’em.
We’ve chosen a few of our favorites here, but be sure to click over to Louella’s site to browse the full collection. Just note that these images show engraved invitations (raised ink) but the winner will be receiving equally-beautiful letterpress invite sets (which each include an invitation, envelope, rsvp card, and rsvp envelope). And if your event or announcement doesn’t need the RSVP card and envelope, feel free to convert it to a thank you card and envelope instead. Oh, and you’ll all be receiving an exclusive YHL discount on Thursday so stay tuned…
Here are this week’s full details:
- PRIZE: 50 single-color letterpress invitation sets (including 50 invitations, envelopes, rsvp cards, and rsvp envelopes) on your choice of either fluorescent white or pearl 110 pound paper, courtesy of Two Paperdolls and Louella Press
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “INVITE ME!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: … since we’re talking invitations and guest lists, tell us whether you prefer a large family-and-friend-filled wedding or a smaller more intimate event- or maybe even a destination wedding with just a handful of lucky travel companions.
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Our anniversary! (Wednesday, July 7th at 8pm EST)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: To the United States of America
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

INVITE ME! Please! My boyfriend and I just got engaged in May :) We would both like a small weddding with family and close friends. I previously worked at a high end stationery store helping couples pick out their wedding invitations, and would always drool over the letterpress vendors. I LOVE letterpress invitations…and these designs are beautiful!

We have opted for a small destination event with 14 people. Since we’re both from Texas, but have travelled around the US, we decided to get married in Maine in early October, perfect time to view the foliage!
Christine says
INVITE ME!
I’d love an intimate wedding but with so many friends and family, it’s going to be fairly large:)

Caroline Zivley says
INVITE ME! I am getting married April 2011 and this would be a PERFECT July gift for me and my hubby, as I set a goal for myself to have my invitations decided on by mid-August. We are having a middle sized event with family and friends!
Vanessa says
INVITE ME! We wanted to keep our wedding small, but ended up at 250 because we have such a large family and wonderful friends. We had to invite everyone we love.
Dana says
“INVITE ME!”
Either can be fun! We plan to have about 100 people at our wedding. I think it’s a good number!

Beth says
INVITE ME!!
I would love to win this for my gal Melanie who’s getting hitched next June. I believe it would make me bridesmaid of the year ;-)
Our wedding had about 100-110 people which I think is perfect. Not too big, not too small. But bottom line, having all your favorite people in one place to celebrate with you – priceless!
Jen says
INVITE ME!
Our wedding will be next October and have about 130-150 guests. So medium? Haha.
Christina says
INVITE ME!
Our wedding was very small, just 10 people. We are thinking of hosting a little bigger bash for our first anniversary.
Rebecca says
“INVITE ME!” We’re going right in the middle (around 135)for our August 27, 2010 wedding – with a good mix of family and really great friends!
Katie L. says
INVITE ME! I’m soon to be engaged, so have started thinking a lot about what kind of wedding we most want. While we both want only people there that REALLY matter to us (no political invites here!), that unfortunately is already up to 200 people!! It’s nice to love and be loved, though, so we’ll make it work!
Megan says
INVITE ME!
I’d prefer a smaller event with good friends and family. I think at our wedding we had about 120 people.
Katie says
INVITE ME! We’re hoping to have a modestly sized event, but it’s going to be tough with so many loved ones to include!
Rachel says
INVITE ME!!
I plan on a smaller, more intimate event, with about 100-150 guests.

INVITE ME!!!! This would be a great gift for my best friend who just got engaged!
We had a good 300 people at our wedding and it was the best day of my life!
Jennifer says
INVITE ME!
We had a medium sized wedding (~ 150 guests), but if we could do it again, I would definitely cap it at 50 or so.
Naomi says
INVITE ME! We’re actually debating between a few scenarios: destination European cruise with friends&family, a traditional Chinese banquet (complete with 10-course meal…yum!), standard hotel reception, or sneaking away and doing a simple, pared-down ceremony with my pastor and 2 witnesses. Decisions, decisions!
Kathy says
Invite me! I loved my medium sized wedding but if I had to do it all over again we would elope!
Allison says
INVITE ME!
i would love a small party and squeeze everyone around a long table.
Wendy S says
INVITE ME!
There was something so special about having all of our friends and family in one place to celebrate our special day, so a medium/large family-and-friend-filled wedding is my preference. But, each year on our anniversary, we take a trip (whether it be a vacation or just a night away at a B&B) so we can have our own “destination” event with just the two of us.
Paige says
INVITE ME
I love the idea of an intimate gathering, but I know that I would hate to leave out some of our family and friends. I would definitely like to keep it under 150 though!
Emily says
INVITE ME!
Our wedding was filled with hundreds of our friends and family! The bigger the better in my book!
Christina Castro says
A Small intimate gathering with good friends and family!

i’m crossing my fingers for this one. who knows if i’ll decide to use them for a post-wedding party, or for the rehearsal dinner/gift opening (eh-hem, which invites still have not been sent out for..), or for something entirely different. yay!
