When the folks from Two Paperdolls contacted us a couple of months ago about doing a giveaway (like they’d recently done on one of our favorite wedding sites) we knew it would be the perfect Wedding Week prize for you guys. Two Paperdolls – who are on the brink of launching a new e-commerce website with a whole new look – along with their sister site Louella Press are dishing out over $1000 worth of custom letterpress wedding (or party!) invitations. Amazing, eh? So all of you brides-to-be (or anyone else who just wants to throw a party) can cross one thing off of your to-do list.
If you don’t currently fall into the “engaged” category, go tell your nearest wife-to-be, mother-of-the-bride, or anyone else who is ready to give a killer engagement present about this fab little freebie. Or you yourself can use the prize for any other event or announcement that you’ve got around the corner (birthday party? baby shower? anniversary party? just-won-amazing-free-invitations party?). Louella Press designs gorgeous classic-yet-fresh invitation sets that are pretty much guaranteed to make an incredible first impression to any guest who is lucky enough to receive ’em.
We’ve chosen a few of our favorites here, but be sure to click over to Louella’s site to browse the full collection. Just note that these images show engraved invitations (raised ink) but the winner will be receiving equally-beautiful letterpress invite sets (which each include an invitation, envelope, rsvp card, and rsvp envelope). And if your event or announcement doesn’t need the RSVP card and envelope, feel free to convert it to a thank you card and envelope instead. Oh, and you’ll all be receiving an exclusive YHL discount on Thursday so stay tuned…
Here are this week’s full details:
- PRIZE: 50 single-color letterpress invitation sets (including 50 invitations, envelopes, rsvp cards, and rsvp envelopes) on your choice of either fluorescent white or pearl 110 pound paper, courtesy of Two Paperdolls and Louella Press

- BONUS QUESTION: … since we’re talking invitations and guest lists, tell us whether you prefer a large family-and-friend-filled wedding or a smaller more intimate event- or maybe even a destination wedding with just a handful of lucky travel companions.

INVITE ME! We had a larger size wedding…about 200 people. Although I was happy to have some many loved ones by our side, I would prefer a smaller wedding of about 100.
Catherine says
Shoot! I forgot to say INVITE ME!

INVITE ME!!!
Bre Gurley says
INVITE ME! We will be having a medium sized wedding of 100-150 guests. It will be located in Oak Island, NC at a place called Orton Gardens near where my future in-laws live. We are getting married on April 2, 2011 so this is the PERFECT freebie for us! Thanks for doing these :)

INVITE ME!
If I ever get married, I want something small and simple. Backyard. Less than 50 people. Me and my guy, comfortable and happy. Good food, good wine, great friends.
Nicole says
INVITE ME!
We had 120 people at our wedding. It was not too big and not too small–just perfect! I would pass this prize along to my brother and future sister in law who are getting married in April.
Jessie says
INVITE ME!
Those invitations are adorable!
I think smaller weddings are much nicer. :)
krista farrell says
INVITE ME!! I love paper products. heheh
Rachel says
INVITE ME! I hope to have a smaller wedding, around 120 people. But once you sit down to put a list together, pairing it down can be very difficult!
Zeba says
This is great! I have been scouring the internet for the perfect invite for my brother’s reception (thrown by my parents) and can’t find what we are looking for. Custom is the way to go (it’s what I did for my wedding)! I prefer small weddings, particularly after my 4 day, 500 person event. At least my brother’s reception will be half the size–250 is small for my family! So please, INVITE ME!!!!
Shannon T. says
INVITE ME! We had a small wedding (about 100) in my in-law’s backyard, which backs up to a nearby river. It was lovely!
Heather says
INVITE ME!! The wedding will be small, 75 people. Ours is sort of a destination wedding in that we’re the only ones that live here.. everyone else will have to travel!
Claire says
INVITE ME!
The size of the wedding really depends on the couple! Some couples are better suited to throw a huge bash than others. Well, I guess it really depends more on the guests than the couple. We had a super small wedding of 35 people. I loved it and it was perfect for a highly involved, high stress bride like myself.

INVITE ME!
My fiance, Mark, and I are planning a destination wedding for next July. I wanted a smaller wedding, but did not want to offend anyone. And we love to travel, so this is perfect for us. With so many things to do, it would be great to have the invitations taken care of.
Brittney Lunsford says
The wedding is set for 12.11.10…in both our hometown’s of Louisville, KY…and as much as we would both LOVE to go far, far away and tie the knot (just the 2 of us)…we do have to compromise with what we want and what our family wants! We’re planning a private cermony at a non-profit art gallery I used to work at The Kentucky Museum of Art & Craft prior to reloacting to Richmond, VA a little over a year ago of parents, grandparents & siblings….then a dinner following for the ceremony group at 21C & Proof, an amazing, hip Gallery/Hotel/Restaurant….then a huge reception that evening of family & friends, a reunion of sorts. I am actually mailing out DIY save this dates this week of Forget-Me-Not seed packets with a little poem on the back which we printed on our computer on shipping labels. Invites haven’t been dreamed up just yet, so winning this would be a great opportunity!!! The reception will be themed ‘Cupcakes & Cocktails’…we’ll supply the music, the alcohol, the venue and I asked all of my ‘would-be’ bridesmaid to save their money on dresses & shoes and showers and make cupcakes to share with all (icing colors to match our choosen colors of course)….all DIY with a touch of homemade & extra love! Oh, and did I mention, I bought my dress 3 weeks ago for 49.99 at David’s Bridal!
I am a lucky lady to be able to marry the man of my dreams who makes me smile everyday…winning this would just be an added bonus!
Kate says
INVITE ME! I feel a smaller and more intimate gathering would be better suited to the personalities of my fiance and myself.

I am the maid of honor in my best friend’s wedding (1 year from now). It is going to be pretty big, 150+, and very traditional. I would like a backyard wedding, or a destination wedding, with small group of friends and family. And then maybe a big party for everyone else to celebrate with us.
Jen says
INVITE ME! Definitely prefer small intimate weddings rather than larger-than-life weddings!

INVITE ME, PLLLLEEEEAAAASSSSEEEE! I always thought that I wanted a huge wedding with practically everyone I have ever crossed paths with, exageration of course, but now that I have actually found the man of my dreams that seems a bit impersonal. Now I want a intimate wedding with only our closest family and friends that have been through the thick and thin of it with us!
Mandy says

Thanks for the giveaway and happy anniversary!

I would guess our wedding was medium-large. It was mostly family, with some of our close friends.
Lauren says
INVITE ME!! We have a very, very large family to accommodate, but that means more to party with! My grandmother now has 20+ great grandchildren and our total package at family reunions is over 60 people and that’s just on my side of the family. We’re a heck of a bunch to say the least!
April P. says
INVITE ME!! I much prefer a small wedding of about 50 in the chapel my grandfather built in hills of Tennessee. Friends from Colorado, North Carolina and London will be joining us for a feild day themed wedding!

INVITE ME!
My fiance and I have decided on doing a destination wedding for February 2011 on the beaches of Mexico. We think we’ll have about 50 of our closest family and friends joining us.
Our parents seem to think we’re a little crazy with the destination wedding since they’ve never experienced one before, but all of our friends are excited to vacation together (exactly our thinking!)! I know it’s the most excited I’ve ever been about a vacation!!
Jennie says
INVITE ME!! We had a big wedding with all the family, but I still love the idea of a private ceremony with a REALLY nice dinner afterward for just our closest family & friends.
Jamie says
