When the folks from Two Paperdolls contacted us a couple of months ago about doing a giveaway (like they’d recently done on one of our favorite wedding sites) we knew it would be the perfect Wedding Week prize for you guys. Two Paperdolls – who are on the brink of launching a new e-commerce website with a whole new look – along with their sister site Louella Press are dishing out over $1000 worth of custom letterpress wedding (or party!) invitations. Amazing, eh? So all of you brides-to-be (or anyone else who just wants to throw a party) can cross one thing off of your to-do list.
If you don’t currently fall into the “engaged” category, go tell your nearest wife-to-be, mother-of-the-bride, or anyone else who is ready to give a killer engagement present about this fab little freebie. Or you yourself can use the prize for any other event or announcement that you’ve got around the corner (birthday party? baby shower? anniversary party? just-won-amazing-free-invitations party?). Louella Press designs gorgeous classic-yet-fresh invitation sets that are pretty much guaranteed to make an incredible first impression to any guest who is lucky enough to receive ’em.
We’ve chosen a few of our favorites here, but be sure to click over to Louella’s site to browse the full collection. Just note that these images show engraved invitations (raised ink) but the winner will be receiving equally-beautiful letterpress invite sets (which each include an invitation, envelope, rsvp card, and rsvp envelope). And if your event or announcement doesn’t need the RSVP card and envelope, feel free to convert it to a thank you card and envelope instead. Oh, and you’ll all be receiving an exclusive YHL discount on Thursday so stay tuned…
Here are this week’s full details:
- PRIZE: 50 single-color letterpress invitation sets (including 50 invitations, envelopes, rsvp cards, and rsvp envelopes) on your choice of either fluorescent white or pearl 110 pound paper, courtesy of Two Paperdolls and Louella Press
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “INVITE ME!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: … since we’re talking invitations and guest lists, tell us whether you prefer a large family-and-friend-filled wedding or a smaller more intimate event- or maybe even a destination wedding with just a handful of lucky travel companions.
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Our anniversary! (Wednesday, July 7th at 8pm EST)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: To the United States of America
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I went away and got married in a tree house in St. Lucia, overlooking the ocean. Four years later, even after attending many awesome weddings of family and friends, I wouldn’t change a thing!

We’re having a Sunday afternoon BBQ for about 150 in August. I think that would put us in the modestly sized, casual group. Happy Anniversary!
Tiffany Hill says
Well, from personal experience, I think I would prefer a small intimate ceremony. I say this having already experienced the big family and friends ceremony. I don’t plan on having any more weddings in my future **wink wink**, but it seemed such a blur that I think I would’ve been able to slow down and take more in with less crowd and more intimacy!

INVITE ME! i’d love a large wedding–it’s one of the only times to see all of our loved ones from several diff. circles around the world all together under one roof for a international party!

INVITE ME!
We would love to announce our baby’s birth with these beautiful letterpress cards. We were in our early 20’s when we got married and our wedding was large–I didn’t know half of my in-laws friends who attended. If we could do it over, we would have a more intimate event!

My fiancee and I will be tying the knot on October 10 in a small backyard wedding with family and close friends, very much inspired by your blog! We can’t wait!

My fiancé and I are dreaming of a smaller family affair, and these would be perfect!

My husband and I are heading toward the 7 year mark, and I remember our wedding like it was yesterday… Can’t wait to share this amazing gift with my ‘baby’ brother and his fiancee if I win : ) (((Happy Anniversary to you!)))

I would really love a small wedding… topping off at 75 people. I would be nice if it was backyard wedding like Young House love had!

Well my fiance and I differ on the small intimate gathering versus the fun family and friend filled one. I don’t have nearly as big of a family or as many friends as he does here (I’ve only been here for 2 years compared to his almost entire life here!)
I totally wanted to elope in Vegas with just our mom’s present but he wants his whole family there. So I win in the ‘it’s gotta be cheap’ and he wins in the ‘gotta have the family.’ Since we’re having a cute little backyard wedding!

I love a large party with friends and family.

I LOVED my destination wedding and wouldn’t change a thing about it. I had zero wedding stress and remember every moment. Everyone was so relaxed and we spent the rest of the day on the beach eating, swimming and playing volleyball. It was fantastic.
Naomi says
INVITE ME!!!
Would love to throw my mom an awesome 60th birthday party, and these would be a great touch.
Ida says
INVITE ME! We’re thinking somewhere far far away from home…just for peace of mind.
Mandy says
INVITE ME!
He has a lot of family, and I have a lot of friends, so our wedding will probably end up having quite a few guests whether we want it to or not. And we’re both big softies; I think we’d struggle to pare down our list!
Katie says
Invite me!!!!
I’d love to win these to invite ninety of our closest friends and family to celebrate our marriage next May.

INVITE ME!
I would love to win this for an American colleague in our Glasgow, Scotland Office who will be going back home to Vermont to get married – she will be having quite a small intimate wedding and I know costs are very much on her and Stephen’s mind right now.
Rachel K. says
INVITE ME! My dream would be to have a smaller affair with only close friends and family. But that doesn’t mean it can’t be a huge, fun dance party!
Catherine M. says
INVITE ME!
I prefer small intimate gatherings where you love everyone there.

My fiance and both come from large families, so we’re planning a large, full-of-family event. We’re both looking forward to sharing our special day with those who’ve watched (and helped!) us grow over the years.

I love a big wedding filled with all the people you LOVE :)
Ana says
INVITE ME!
If I win, the invites will be for one of my best friends, who’s having a backyard barbecue in September.
If I were having a wedding, I’d prefer a small event with great food or possibly a destination wedding. But if my grandmother is in charge, it will be in my hometown and huge, with 500 guests.

We’re having 200 people at an outdoor venue in Albuquerque, NM! We are trying to keep it “small” but between two sets of families and friends it is tough!

The hubs and I had a smallish wedding (think 75 guests) but we wished it were even smaller.
Ashley says
INVITE ME!
We are getting married this November and we kept our guest list to close friends and family. We wanted to share the day with the people that mean the most to us.
Weniki says

You have beautiful invite colors and letterpress! We’re having a wedding with about 70 family and friends and can’t wait!”
Crystal says
INVITE ME!!! My boyfriend and I have pretty big families so when we get married (in the next 2 years) it’s definately going to be a big affair! And we wouldn’t have it any other way!
Emily says
INVITE ME!
My perfect wedding is on a Mexican beach with just our immediate family and best friends, saving the big celebration with all of our friends for when we return.
Natalie says
INVITE ME!
I like smaller gatherings where you actually get a chance to talk to everyone present.
Cathy K. says

I prefer small intimate get togethers, but a big family puts a crimp in that style for us – big all out family affairs are the type of parties we have!
Shannon R says
INVITE ME!!
I have a ton of family, so a largish wedding just suits me better. But still with a familiar feel and simpler decorative touches.
Michelle says
I would probably use these as baby shower invites! I’ll probably be having one of those in 6 months since I got a positive pregnancy test this morning! :)
My wedding was BIG. My husband has 25 first cousins… nuff said.
Oh yes, Invite me!

We had a super small wedding – only 6 people there, including us and the officiant, but our party was close friends and family and totaled about 50 people.
Kelly says
Invite Me!
I had a huge big wedding (think 500+ folks)and while it was fun and I still madly in love with my husband, a small wedding now sounds delightful and less costly!
Melissa says
INVITE ME! I definitely prefer the idea of a more intimate event.
Andrea says
INVITE ME!
I prefer smaller more intimate weddings for me, but if I’m invited to a wedding I like the big ones. Our wedding will have about 100 people and I really wish we could just run off and elope but my family would be so pissed!

“INVITE ME!”
We are trying to figure that out right now! We are leaning towards small, but our families always think of a few more ppl than we do :)
Heather says
Invite Me!
I’m actually getting married in less than 3 weeks and it’s a mid sized wedding of 85 people but if I didn’t have to worry about hurting anyone’s feelings I would have loved to have run off in the middle of the night and got married without anyone else knowing except for a perfect stranger to be the witness. Of course…then I wouldn’t need these gorgeous invitations!

I had a smaller family/friends wedding but I what I really wanted was to do a destination wedding~
Micaela says

I like both types of gatherings but we both have big families and friends that we didn’t want to leave out so a big wedding was the best choice for us.
