Just as Holly guessed during last week’s winner post, our latest giveaway is indeed from our friends at Z Gallerie. They’re back after their much loved freebie last May to put a little sparkle in your holiday season. While the big Zee-G has tons of glittery items for your house, your tree and even your dining table, we somehow managed to comb through all the eye candy and pick out a collection of our absolute favorite holiday items. So here’s what this week’s winner will be snagging:
The Z Gallerie holiday prize pack includes: two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses. We love them because not only do they provide a touch of holiday glam to a dining or console table, you can even get away with breaking them out during the other 11 months of the year. And if they look familiar it’s because Z Gallerie kindly sent a set our way (and we whipped them out for this Thanksgiving decor post a few weeks back).
So how do you get your hands on this sparkly set of holiday cheer? Here’s the 4-1-1:
- PRIZE: Two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses from Z Gallerie
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “Z ME!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …tell us if you plan to entertain people at your home this holiday season OR if you prefer to be entertained at someone else’s house. And either way, do you have any tips for being a great host and/or courteous guest?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 2nd at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: United States only
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

Z ME!! I do not love to host, however, I love to cook. I just take four or five dishes of home-cooked goodies everywhere we go!!

Z ME!! This year, home renovations and family illness made for a quiet Thanksgiving–just my husband and I and a small turkey (probably the last one for a while since we’re expecting in March!) and it was lovely. But I am definitely excited for Christmas with a household of family in a few short weeks!

ZME!! I love to entertain…a small group of friends and family – not a houseful. For the holidays, we will be both entertaining and entertained. My husband’s family celebrates at my Inlaw’s home, and my family celebrates on a different day at our house. Its going to be a huge dinner buffet at my house – we all bring our family specialties and share – and we make a couple of my dad’s favorite dishes to honor him – he passed away late last fall, so we like to include him in our holiday get togethers.

Z ME!!! We are having a Christmas party on Saturday night, actually!

I love hosting, but that will have to wait until next year. I am getting married in May and purchased a house this past March, so right now my kitchen is filled with hand-me-down or dollar store gadgets. I can’t wait until my wedding showers begin so I can switch them out for nicer items! These holiday decorations would be great!

I love hosting parties at my house! Every year we have a secret santa party that creates lots of holiday memories! My friend hat an “Ugly Sweater” party last year…I was thinking of hosting my own this year! :)
Love the blog! Keep up the great work!

Z Me please!
We’ll be going home for the holidays, splitting up the day between mine and the husbands parents. But even though I’m not specifically entertaining, I still love setting the table at my mom’s house for Christmas dinner with all her good china and silverware… I’m a big dork at heart when it comes to traditional things like that :)

I am excited about having friends and family over for the holidays – we just bought a new house this summer and it is finally starting to feel a bit more homey.

We are hosting everyone in our fam. this year for the first time and couldn’t be more thrilled! One of our favorite things to do when hosting people is to have some of their favorite things. This may sound silly, but we always keep Cream of Wheat, along with my grandmother’s favorite hot tea and my grandfather’s fav. coffee syrup, and at least one treat for when they stay with us. It not only sets them at ease with a familiar favorite, but shows them how much we care about making things special for them. :)

We always split up time between my husband’s mom and my parents during the holidays, so maybe next year, we can show off these beautiful Z Gallery things and have everybody together in our home!

I will be a host this year, after many years of being a guest. The secret? Have a baby and then everyone will to come to you! We are so glad to have our little man with us to celebrate this year, and to bring the fun to our house.

I’d love to win these! Gorgeous.
We just moved into a new house so hopefully we’ll have (at least part of it) whipped into shape enough to see daylight. We’ll see…
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

Z Me! I love to host, preparing all kinds of goodies and welcoming guests into our home, but I also love to be a guest! I’ll be doing both this season and am looking forward to it!

I love going to my parents’ home. No matter how old you get, your parents’ house will always be home :)
Meaghan says
Z ME!!! We just hosted 11 people for Thanksgiving, and my in-laws are coming back for a week at Christmas… two things I’ve learned to do as a hostess:
1) Make a quick list of tasks people can help you with. Be it folding napkins, washing silverware, etc. – most guests will ask what they can help with, and if you say “nothing” they’ll just keep asking!
2) Find out what kind of cereal people like. It’s very comforting as a houseguest to start out your day with something familiar :)
Megan W says
Z ME!! I’ll be hosting a party at our house AND traveling for the holidays. The best of both worlds!
Kate D says
Z ME! I love both entertaining and being entertained. It’s easier to dress up and feel glamorous for the holidays when you’re not the one in the kitchen! But it’s so satisfying when your guests tell you how delish one of your recipes is!

Z ME!! we are hosting all the fam for our daughter’s very first christmas! oh, how i’d love to use those beautiful pieces. i can see them on my mantle, interspersed with some greenery. mmmm. i just might have to purchase them if i don’t win!! :)

I love love love to host! We are having a HUGE Christmas Cocktail Party in our new house and I can’t wait. We like to tell our guests to bring their favorite christmas cocktail recipe along with the stuff to make it. It cuts down the price for us when we have a big party and its fun to see what people bring!!

Z Me!!! My husband’s 30th birthday is Dec. 8th, so I will be throwing a not-so-holiday birthday party for 40+ guests. My dilemma: how to make it more a birthday party and not a holiday party on Dec. 12th!
Another party I will be hosting for my girlfriends: a gift wrapping party. Everyone brings their gifts and we all get together and wrap! I supply A LOT of the supplies (and the wine & snacks) and it makes wrapping gifts a whole lot more fun!

This is our first holiday season in our house, and while our parents’ will still host Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (respectively), we are toying with the idea of our own holiday party! As guests at our parents’ houses though we always arrive early to help prep and stay late for the cleanup!

I’d much rather prefer to be entertained, but I’m trying to improve my entertaining skills. I’m going to have just my parents over so that’ll test my skills!
Rebecca W. says
Z ME! pleez. I’ll be entertained and entertaining both. For smooth hosting, I recommend champagne and more champagne.
Sarah @ Dream In Domestic says
Z ME! I am kind of going to be entertained and I am kind of going to do the entertaining because I am in college so I will be going to my parent’s house and visiting as well as helping with everything.

At Christmas time, we host and go to other’s homes throughout the season. The best advice is to keep it simple – people will remember a stressed hostess and feel bad about that!

Those are all so gorgeous! I’m a host this year; my husband’s grandparents came to our place for Thanksgiving, and I made the entire dinner from scratch. It totally stressed me out the day before, but everything turned out wonderfully and I loved having them with us (and then I took a 3-hour nap. :) )!
Meghan says
Z ME! I love to entertain but it’s not so easy living in a 600 square foot apartment.:) For that reason I am usually a guest and will happily bring appetizers, baked treats, wine, or whatever is asked of me.

I aspire to be a better hostess. In reality, though, I’m an excellent guest! I don’t arrive too early or too late, I don’t stay too late, I help when it’s wanted, I mingle, and I always bring an excellent host/hostess gift!
Erica S says

Usually I love entertaining for the holidays. However, since I am currently 9 months along in my second pregnancy, I am begging out of the hosting gig this year. In fact, depending on how things go, I might not even be hosted that much this holiday season.

I LOVE hosting the holidays. Since my apartment isn’t hosting-worthy, I spend all day in my parents’ kitchen cooking up a storm! And, I LOVE it!

I like both. If we had more room for hosting, we’d probably do it more often. This year we will be spending Christmas Eve on our own and Christmas morning with my parents and grandparents.
We like to bring along bottles of wine from our favorite local winery when we are hosted!
Katy says

Entertaining at my home stresses me out, so I much prefer to be entertained by others. We’ll spend Christmas between my mother-in-law’s house and my father-in-law’s house. We’ll see my parents earlier at my sister’s house with her new baby!

I love to entertain, holidays or not!
Kelly says
Z Me!!!! I am definitely the hostess with the mostess. But during the “holiday season” I prefer to leave the entertaining to someone else. I will do the other 10 months of the year.
