Just as Holly guessed during last week’s winner post, our latest giveaway is indeed from our friends at Z Gallerie. They’re back after their much loved freebie last May to put a little sparkle in your holiday season. While the big Zee-G has tons of glittery items for your house, your tree and even your dining table, we somehow managed to comb through all the eye candy and pick out a collection of our absolute favorite holiday items. So here’s what this week’s winner will be snagging:
The Z Gallerie holiday prize pack includes: two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses. We love them because not only do they provide a touch of holiday glam to a dining or console table, you can even get away with breaking them out during the other 11 months of the year. And if they look familiar it’s because Z Gallerie kindly sent a set our way (and we whipped them out for this Thanksgiving decor post a few weeks back).
So how do you get your hands on this sparkly set of holiday cheer? Here’s the 4-1-1:
- PRIZE: Two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses from Z Gallerie
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “Z ME!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …tell us if you plan to entertain people at your home this holiday season OR if you prefer to be entertained at someone else’s house. And either way, do you have any tips for being a great host and/or courteous guest?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 2nd at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: United States only
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

Z ME!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE to be the host. Holidays, sports games, Tuesday nights….any occasion.
Abby says
Z ME Please! We usually visit others during the holidays. My best advice for being a kind guest is to never show up empty handed!
Kim says
Z-Me! I love to host and be hosted! Both are equally special as long as I’m surrounded by those I love.
Alicia Brewer says
Z ME!! I love to host. Event Planning is not only my job, but a big hobby for me. We are having a oyster roast on Saturday and using our garage as the festic back drop- with lawn chairs, heaters and rustic lanterns.

Z me! Pretty pretty please! :)

i would love to entertain, but my place is super small :(

Z Me! I’m a guest. Still renovating so I’ll have to wait until next year, hopefully we’ll be finished by then!!

This year we will be entertained – which isn’t all bad – less work and stress!
To be a good guest, be on time if a meal is to be served. Bring an appetizer, wine, something to share. And don’t overstay your welcome! Oh, and be sure to thank the host/hostess for the invite. :)

I love to host and will be doing it early this year because my brother lives out of town and will be in town early. The holiday is really what you make of it, not when celebrated. best advice: make yummy food and make your home comfortable for everyone!

My husband and I love to entertain. We love to cook and would rather spend a night at home with friends than out at a bar somewhere. We will be hosting our friends for a pre Christmas dinner and New Years.
We always entertain with great music, great food, and usually end up playing a few board games…drinks always help too!
Karen says
Z Me! We’ll be entertaining family this year.
Beth says
Z ME!!! This year we will be hosted- we just moved and do not have everything unpacked and put away yet to have a party. I hope to host next year though!

I host Christmas Eve revelry, and my best tip:
Crock Pot Meals.
Nothing could be easier.
Sara G. says
Z ME! I love to host people but my family is so large we don’t usually have enough room for everyone. I think a courteous guest always offers to help the host in some way…passing out food or drinks, bring a dish, help clean up a little, etc.
Wendy says
Z ME! We’re still getting situated in our house so we probably won’t be entertaining this year but I’m already planning next year’s holiday party – which will be amazing!
Wehaf says
I would prefer to have people over, but my boyfriend and I are going to his parents’ place.
Megan says
Z ME!! I’m planning an impromptu cocktail party this Friday just for the girls. My key element is to serve up one kind of holiday themed cocktail- like a candy cane drink. That way you only have to buy 2 kinds of liquor instead of supplying several different ones for everyone to mix their own.

I love to entertain.. as Monica would say “I’m always the hostess”
Heather says
Z ME! This year we will be entertained at our parents’ homes since we will be transitioning between apartments and will actually be homeless for a few weeks.
As a guest, I always think that it is a good idea to be aware of the “rules” of the house by watching what your hosts do. If they take off their shoes when coming in, you should probably take off your shoes too…If they don’t leave anything out on the bathroom sink, you probably shouldn’t make your toiletries bag a home on the bathroom sink…if they put the toilet lid down, make sure you don’t forget to do the same, etc.

We have so much family all around town that we usually end up zipping all over the place in order to spend time with all of them. However, once the hustle and bustle are over, we like to have a nice, quiet evening at home where we can enjoy the decorations, a roaring fire and each other.

We will probably host a little brunch after Christmas before we move away just to see our neice and a few close friends. I’m a real stickler for making your bed every morning and keeping all of your things packed tidy when you’re staying at someone elses home

I love to entertain AND be a guest! The best part of being a guest is no prep or clean up! The best part of entertaining is the leftovers!!
Lauren says

I’m still just a guest and loving it. Someday we will host, but not yet.

Z Me! I did Thanksgiving and my mom will handle Christmas, but I love to entertain. Best advice–plan out what you will serve each dish in before making dinner. Best advice to guests–don’t overstay your welcome.
Sunny says
Z ME!!! I have already done my part of the entertaining at my home this past week, and am looking forward to being entertained on Christmas as we travel back home to Ohio! I know that won’t happen though since as soon as I get home, I’ll be put to work myself. No parent turns down free labor at the holidays. :)

I will be a guest this year for all the holidays. As my husband and I live away from both sets of parents we travel to them. These would be a nice to us as decoration for our house when we have neighbors stop by.

I’m enjoying the party at my aunt’s house. And (I know this is bad) I’m glad I get a break this year! Now all I have to worry about is buying presents… oh well!
Holly says
Z ME!! I love to entertain if only because it forces me to deep clean the house! This Christmas my sister in law and her family are coming to stay with us and we are hosting a house warming party to unveil our new home and all the changes we have made in the last 3 months! When I host I like to do all of the food prep and cleaning a day ahead to minimize the stress on the actual party day. Fresh flowers and candles always make me feel like my home is dressed for guests looks just a little more special!
Rachel B. says

So far, I haven’t hosted anything yet because my husband and I have yet to purchase our first home, but I look forward to the chance when I can. In the meantime, I enjoy going over others’ houses and being entertained. I always try to abide by the rules (i.e. using coasters, removing shoes before entering, etc.) in another person’s house, just to ensure I’m being a courteous guest.
Emily says
Z ME! I love Z Gallerie!

I prefer to entertain :) I love to bake and my guests love it too!
Jamie Lenee says
Z ME!!! I LOVE to entertain because I love to cook and bake and generally make people happy with good food. We’re having family over on Christmas this year!
Ashley says
Z ME!!! I will not host my own holiday party at my apartment, but I will help my parents host our annual family Christmas party at their house. We always have a signature holiday cocktail and special small gifts at each place setting. One year my mom found cheap/small frames and we framed old pictures (think baby pictures for the young ones or pictures from the 70’s for the older crowd) of each guest and used them to designate seats at the table.

I love to entertain, and am hoping the renovation will be done to have at least a holiday type party, even if it’s after Christmas. But, I don’t try to get too hung up on deadlines or the renovation will be more stressful, already missed thanksgiving:) But, I’d like to move in and finally be able to host a holiday and have both the divorced sides of the family come together, if Mom and Dad can stand it.
The last formal party I had was my Mom’s surprise 50th – it was a hoot! Mainly because I tried to cook. Best advise is make sure you enjoy yourself and let guests help out if they want, helps you and they enjoy being involved.

Normally I do like to host over the holidays, but this year I will spend my holidays abroad visiting my family – I’m extra excited for my mums cooking as it has been a couple of years – and my stuffing still doesn’t hold a candle to hers.

I prefer to be hosted – nothing like going home for the holidays, and that usually means my in-laws! Since the whole fam lives 5 hours away, it makes sense for us to go to them, rather than for them to ALL come here.
Amanda says

We will be visiting both sets of parents down in Richmond during the Holiday’s!
Natalie says
Z ME! Oh, would I love to entertain this year. However, the only entertaining I will be doing will be probably serving pizza and hot chocolate to a bunch of church friends helping us move in our house 6 days before Christmas. We’ve been undergoing a renovation and my husband has promised us in before the 25th. I will be a gracious guest at my mother-in-law’s (as I have been daily for the past YEAR!) and will contribute however I can as a host, but not really a host. I’m always in charge of the place settings and table decorations. It means a lot to see your name on a plate and know you were intended to be there.

Z ME! I love to entertain and be the hostess. I get great joy in making sure others have a great times. Although, sometimes I enjoy letting someone else do all of the work.

Z me! we’re going to be at my folks for christmas… there’s no guest/host there… it’s just HOME :)
Katie says
Z Me! We’re doing a little of both this year… Thanksgiving was at Mom’s in Georgia, First Christmas (my own new term, kind of like second breakfast with the hobbits) will be at our Nashville house in a few weeks, Day of Christmas will be at the in-laws on their Colorado ranch. I’m wishing for my first white Christmas in CO!
