Just as Holly guessed during last week’s winner post, our latest giveaway is indeed from our friends at Z Gallerie. They’re back after their much loved freebie last May to put a little sparkle in your holiday season. While the big Zee-G has tons of glittery items for your house, your tree and even your dining table, we somehow managed to comb through all the eye candy and pick out a collection of our absolute favorite holiday items. So here’s what this week’s winner will be snagging:
The Z Gallerie holiday prize pack includes: two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses. We love them because not only do they provide a touch of holiday glam to a dining or console table, you can even get away with breaking them out during the other 11 months of the year. And if they look familiar it’s because Z Gallerie kindly sent a set our way (and we whipped them out for this Thanksgiving decor post a few weeks back).
So how do you get your hands on this sparkly set of holiday cheer? Here’s the 4-1-1:
- PRIZE: Two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses from Z Gallerie
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “Z ME!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …tell us if you plan to entertain people at your home this holiday season OR if you prefer to be entertained at someone else’s house. And either way, do you have any tips for being a great host and/or courteous guest?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 2nd at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: United States only
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

Z Me! We always have friends and family over for New Years Eve. We always make sure to have it kid friendly with lots of noise makers, confetti, hats and non-alcoholic champagne. I try to make the food and drinks as simple as possible so that I actually have time to enjoy our guests. I think we are having a Wii tournament of some sort for the kids this year.

Holiday entertaining is so much fun because people don’t give you weird looks for breaking out the special stuff. But I think the key is to mix it up with more low-key items (fun music, comfort food, etc.) so that people don’t feel like they’re in for a “breakable” evening.
Also, I LOVE mercury glass!! I got two vases for our wedding, and they are so wonderful! I’d love to really start collecting, but they are so expensive sometimes. If I don’t win, I’ll be buying these on sale in January!

Z ME! I love entertaining small groups at home.

The hubby and I will be with my parents this Christmas, so we will be entertainees, not entertainers. But when I’m home I love to help chip in by helping cook Christmas dinner and/or make some sweet stuff to munch on.

I love to entertain and try to have our guests’ favorite foods to serve. Everyone loves my oatmeal raisin cookies, so I usually like to have those available!

Z me! Even though it can be a lot of work, we plan to entertain as much as possible this year. We are having so much fun decorating and hosting small gatherings in our first house!

I live in an apartment, so I end up celebrating at my family’s houses.
But, I can’t wait until I can host someday!
(I was looking at all three of these pieces in a Z Gallerie last weekend – I LOVE them!)

Z Me! I would love the have Christmas at my house, but I’m better at setting the table than preparing the food for said table.

Z me! I would love to host for the holidays… but since all of our family lives out of town, we’re always traveling. We’re going to be hosting our very own housewarming/holiday sweater party this weekend, though, and I’m super-psyched about it… I even picked up ugly Christmas sweaters for the dogs…

Z me!! We’ll be heading off to my folks’ house this year, although I really do love to entertain. And my tip? Set the expectation. Formal or not. Laid back or not. Gifts or not.

I love when other people host. At least for now. I recently graduated and have a tiny apartment, not much seating or silverware or anything remotely nice. Ha ha, oh well!

We will be both entertaining at our house and going to other houses. When we have people over I make sure to have plenty of food and drinks. And, I try to make everyone comfortable by introducing anyone new to everyone and mingle among everybody.

Well, I hosted two thanksgivings, so I’m pretty sure I’m going somewhere for Christmas!!
I love to host and the #1 thing I always do is have seating “areas”. Groupings of chairs where people can talk outside of the normal table area.

Our first baby is due Jan 5th… So, there will be no entertaining at our house this year (usually we host a New Year’s Eve party). This year, we’ll be heading out our parent’s homes (who all live within 10 miles of us!).
Rachel says
Z ME! I prefer to be entertained by my friends and family…
Jaclyn says
Z ME!!! I love to entertain. However, with a 14 month old and baby due in April I find it a bit more challenge. These days, with being a stay-at-home mom I prefer to be entertained. It’s nice to get out of the house and have some help with the little one. Also, our house is a bit on the small side.

We usually travel to the parents/in-laws homes, but I still love to decorate and have friends over for an informal get-together.

I’ll be doing both this year – Christmas Eve at hubby’s family’s house, Christmas day with my whole fam at our house. My #1 rule for both is always the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Be the kind of guest you would want at your house, and be the kind of host you’d love to visit with.

I am putting out vibes and doing happy dances that your random generator picks me on this one… I love, love, LOVE these! And they would look fabulous with my white, sage and silver holiday decor!
This year we’re hosting my husband’s parents and his aunt. My three big entertaining concerns are having enough food, keeping the drinks flowing, and making sure everyone’s at a comfortable temperature. That last one stems from prior visiting experience- I have one relative that never keeps things warm enough. My baby was a little baby-cicle when we visited this fall. I have another who totally roasts his guests until they need to strip or leave. Not fun!

Z ME! We travel for every holiday – it’s exhausing but it’s the only times we get to see family!

Z Me! I love to entertain…we will probably have a few casual holiday dinners at our house…and then it is off to visit with family at their homes…there is something to say about coming home to a clean, quiet house!
