Just as Holly guessed during last week’s winner post, our latest giveaway is indeed from our friends at Z Gallerie. They’re back after their much loved freebie last May to put a little sparkle in your holiday season. While the big Zee-G has tons of glittery items for your house, your tree and even your dining table, we somehow managed to comb through all the eye candy and pick out a collection of our absolute favorite holiday items. So here’s what this week’s winner will be snagging:
The Z Gallerie holiday prize pack includes: two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses. We love them because not only do they provide a touch of holiday glam to a dining or console table, you can even get away with breaking them out during the other 11 months of the year. And if they look familiar it’s because Z Gallerie kindly sent a set our way (and we whipped them out for this Thanksgiving decor post a few weeks back).
So how do you get your hands on this sparkly set of holiday cheer? Here’s the 4-1-1:
- PRIZE: Two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses from Z Gallerie
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “Z ME!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …tell us if you plan to entertain people at your home this holiday season OR if you prefer to be entertained at someone else’s house. And either way, do you have any tips for being a great host and/or courteous guest?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 2nd at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: United States only
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

Z ME! We love to be surrounded by our big family on Christmas. The key to having a joyful time in my opinion is planning ahead so you can relax on the big day.

We love to entertain during the holidays. After a tasty dinner we love to sit down with our guests and play a game of Apples to Apples – so fun!!

We love to host Christmas Parties! We did a Feliz Navidad theme a few times, which was a nice break from all of the traditional Christmas food. Now we’re hooked on tacky Christmas parties. They get better every year…. (i.e. the mobile-home gingerbread house from 2008)

We actually hosted Thanksgiving for both my husband’s and my family for the first time this year. Yikes!

I find the holiday season and the inundation of holiday parties to be a little too much for us all. I am holding off until post-holidays to have a party themed HOT DRINKS. It will be freezing out and I am making it my personal mission to offer heated cocktails and for the non alcoholic set, fancier intriguing warm beverages aside from your coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.

We always travel to the parents for the holidays. Fortunately, my inlaws and my parents live on the same block! :)

We missed hosting our third annual halloween party this year, so we are throwing our first annual new year’s eve blind wine tasting. The key is to have enough munchies to last the night and keep the music playing.

I want to entertain, but live in a tiny 3rd story condo…so I’m still waiting ’till the day I get to host my first big holiday! Until then, I’ll appreciate the getting entertained (but the perfectionist in me sometimes has a hard time with that!)

This year, my family is holding up in a cabin for the entire week of Christmas in the northwoods of Wisconsin. It’s gonna be cold outside but the log cabin and fireplace will bring in the holiday warmth.

My husband and I started a new tradition two years ago by hosting Christmas Eve Eve. We have everyone over on the 23rd and have more of a casual supper with my homemade apple pie as dessert! Yum!!

I love to entertain and actually kind of take over family member’s homes when it’s their turn to host… they don’t care for decorating and I do- so it’s a win win! :-)
Sarah says
Z ME! our place is a bit too small to entertain so we will be at family’s houses for the holidays, can’t wait!

Z me!! My family and I are going to be spending the holidays at my sister’s house in CA. As a courteous guest, I always make my bed everyday, clean the bathroom before I leave, and empty all the trashes around the house. It makes my sister’s job a little easier when we leave.

I love to both host and be hosted. :) This year I will be a courteous guest, by finding out what the hostess would like me to bring and enjoying the company once there. Because, when I host, I am most at ease and pleased when I can tell my guests are having a great time!
xx!

Entertaining is a big part of this holiday season for us! We’re hosting a baby shower this weekend and having friends over for some Christmas celebrations. For the actual holidays though, we’ll head to the parentals, taking lots of yummy foods with us. Being a great hostess? I think just means opening up your home and loving on the people that are there with you. Oh, and great food is always wonderful! :)

“Z ME!” and… I am not planning to entertain people at my home this holiday season because last year it was quite the production and frankly I’m worn out! I’ll have my annual holiday party again next year :-)
Kerry says
Z ME! I’d rather be entertained by someone else, though I have been known to throw a fun grab-bag party for friends. I just don’t like to do all that cooking – too much pressure! As far as being a good guest, never arrive empty-handed.

Z ME!!! How lovely are those decor items! And yes we are entertaining this month – my daughter’s 1st b-day on top of Christmas time visitors. These would be b.e.a – utiful in mi casa :)

Z Me! We will be hosted at my in-laws house this year. They can’t come to our house because several of them are severely allergic to the cats. As a guest I always bring something to the hosts such as a flower arrangement, holiday decor or something personal.

I am so excited because this is the first year that I get to host our family’s Christmas Day events at my house. (We finally have a place that’s big enough!)
I love hosting parties because I love to decorate and cook. It’s fun to try out fancy new recipes that my husband won’t eat, but that everyone else will.
daisy m says
Z Me! We love to entertain for our friends before Christmas. While entertaining we try to make certain that we provide a large variety of food so that no guest goes hungry. We also love to play games so Catch A Phrase or Apples to Apples is always on the menu! :)

This year we will be celebrating with my stepson, which is AWESOME, because we only get to have him every other Christmas, so this is a good year! We stay pretty close to home the years we have him, and usually host all of our local ‘stray’ friends who cannot for whatever reason be with family. Our family is all at least one time zone away, so no traveling for us, usually.
Amy says
Z ME! My husband and I are going to our parents’ houses this holiday and I couldn’t be happier. Wonderful food, company, and cheer!

we’re spending the holidays with our families on the east coast…but we did host our first thanksgiving this year! it was super-stressful and i have a whole new respect for holiday hostesses! one think i do like to have when guests are staying with you from out of town is some type of delicious local snack waiting for them in their bedroom…either for them to take home or snack on during their visit!

Although we’d like to be the entertainers, our little house and my huge family make us the entertainees each year, which has us running back and forth all over the state for the holidays – JOY. We try our best to always bring a yummy dish and have learned to leave our pup at home; even if he gets an okay to come over, some people, especially non-dogowners, are just not comfortable with the exhuberence of our crazy guy.
Jennifer McLaurin says
Z ME!!! I am having family over in rotating shifts with a 1 yr old baby who is on the move! I would love to win the set of holiday cheer it would look great on my table! Being on a budget this year does not leave much for new decorations so this would be a special win for our family!
Happy Holiday’s to everyone!
