Random.org has surprised us this week and selected a male winner for the first time in foreverrrrrrr (shocking, we know). His name is… Thomas (and he’s looking forward to time off this holiday season). Congrats dude! (Congrats buddy? Congrats fella? I dunno, I’m so used to saying “Congrats ladies” I’m kinda at a loss).

One of our favorite things to give are custom house portraits (we’ve actually purchased two for my parents in the last year – and even bought one for ourselves). So as we enter the giving-est time of the year, we figured it would be fitting to give one of you the gift of a house portrait too. We recently discovered Rebekka Seale’s too-charming-for-words illustrations (Sherry’s ridiculously smitten), so wrangling her for a giveaway was at the top of our holiday to-do list. Happily, Rebekka was game. So she’s here to offer up a gift certificate for a custom house portrait along with the winner’s choice of any art print from her Etsy shop. Feel free to keep them for yourself, or wrap ’em up and put them under the tree for someone else. Note: Rebekka’s all full on house portrait orders until after Christmas, which is why she’s doling out a gift card for one, which can be redeemed after the holidays.

    We’re giving my sister one of the sweet new Crayola coloring book creations (the one where you can add yourself to a coloring book with Disney Princesses) and I just know that she’ll love it! Also, she’s 19 :-)

    SEALE ME! WOWZER … having a custom print of my 100 yr old home would be a DREAM.

    AND … I’m most looking fwd to picking up my brother and his partner up from the airport on Xmas day and hauling them, their luggage (over packers), my husband, my 75lb Airedale and myself up to our parents house (45 min away) all in our Subaru Outback. We do it every yr and its my most favorite thing.

    It’s nothte giving that I’m looking forward to so much… rather the taking… My sister and I are taking our Mom out for a full day of pre-christmas pampering. Mani/pedi, massage, high tea and a spot of shopping. She always works right through the holidays and never takes any time for herself so we thought, what better present than making her take some festive time-out.

    This year I am most looking forward to my kids playing in the snow (which they were too young to remember the last time they saw it), and being around my family for the first time in years. We just moved back to the US after 3 years overseas and I am giddy at the thought of my parents at Christmastime!
