Ok, so maybe you didn’t get that bit of bling you wanted for Valentine’s Day earlier this month. Here’s your chance to rectify the situation with some personalized jewelry from Lisa Leonard Designs. She even sells home decor-related pieces like necklaces with a chandelier, paper lanterns, frames and a house key on them. If those aren’t designs after our own home-loving hearts than we don’t know what is.
I’m not so good with the jewelry lingo, but word on the street (or at least from the pregnant lady standing behind me right now) is that Lisa’s hand-cut and hand-hammered sterling silver necklaces, bracelets and earrings are well-worth shouting “oooh, I love that one… and that one… and that one” in your husband’s ear. In fact, Sherry loved the earrings that Lisa sent her way so much that we recently bought a set for my little sister’s birthday. And they barely take them off (so yes, my sister and my wife are often at family events sporting matching earrings).
And if you’re having trouble picking a favorite, perhaps this will make life a bit easier: Lisa Leonard Designs is giving away TWO $100 gift certificates towards anything in her store, so our winners can snag more than one thing if they just can’t decide. Plus if you don’t win, they’re generously dishing out a discount to everyone else, so stay tuned for that along with our winner announcement on Thursday. In the meantime, here’s how to enter:
- PRIZE: A $100 credit towards anything in Lisa Leonard Design’s entire collection
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “WEAR ME” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about something in your closet that doubles (or that you wish could double) as home decor. Do you display your purse collection for all to see? Do you swag a scarf over a hook by the door for some color? Or do you have a favorite dress whose fabric would look awesome as curtains or an accent pillow?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 24th at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: All over the globe!
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I have a handmade scarf that I got from Puerto Rico on my honeymoon that would be beautiful as either a throw or drapes. My husband has a more masculine version of the scarf, so perhaps the two of them together could be a symbol of our love!

I display my earings on an old grate we found in a closet that I sanded (a lot) and primed and painted white. I love it, because it is unique, it makes my earrings look really nice, and it makes the room look just a little more fun. Here is the link to my blog with the picture of my earring grate:

I was thinking we had to use those words in a story of why we should win, so I was going to write…
My twin one-year-olds “wear me” out! But that doesn’t mean I don’t take every opportunity to wear them! In the form of jewelry and other personalized goods, that is. I have a necklace, two rings, and charms with their names, initials, birthdates, birthstones, etc. and I would love more! And Lisa Leonard’s jewelry is right in line with the stuff I wear – it is so beautiful!
Now to answer your real question…
I have SO many things in my closet that I would love to decorate my house with…scarves, dresses, blouses, even some plaid pants! But unlike the two of you, I have no creative skills and at best can just leave my folded laundry on the table for people to admire! :)
Thanks for your consideration! And I’m not trying to brown-nose, but I LOVE your blog! :)

I always leave something hanging on the robe hook on the back of our bedroom door. Our bed faces the door and it’s nice to see something pretty or interesting when I go to bed or wake up in the morning. In honor of St. Patrick’s day coming up, I’ve hung up a cute green emerald dress (on a lovely wooden hanger). The green is a bright springy color in a very cold, white winter wonderland.

I have a previously-broken-now-glued-back-together-on-purpose ceramic bowl on my dresser. Each night before I go to bed I take off my earrings and place them in the bowl. That way I always know where the most recent (and likely the pairs I’m currently obsessed with) earrings are. And it looks pretty adorable as well.
