Ok, so maybe you didn’t get that bit of bling you wanted for Valentine’s Day earlier this month. Here’s your chance to rectify the situation with some personalized jewelry from Lisa Leonard Designs. She even sells home decor-related pieces like necklaces with a chandelier, paper lanterns, frames and a house key on them. If those aren’t designs after our own home-loving hearts than we don’t know what is.
I’m not so good with the jewelry lingo, but word on the street (or at least from the pregnant lady standing behind me right now) is that Lisa’s hand-cut and hand-hammered sterling silver necklaces, bracelets and earrings are well-worth shouting “oooh, I love that one… and that one… and that one” in your husband’s ear. In fact, Sherry loved the earrings that Lisa sent her way so much that we recently bought a set for my little sister’s birthday. And they barely take them off (so yes, my sister and my wife are often at family events sporting matching earrings).
And if you’re having trouble picking a favorite, perhaps this will make life a bit easier: Lisa Leonard Designs is giving away TWO $100 gift certificates towards anything in her store, so our winners can snag more than one thing if they just can’t decide. Plus if you don’t win, they’re generously dishing out a discount to everyone else, so stay tuned for that along with our winner announcement on Thursday. In the meantime, here’s how to enter:
- PRIZE: A $100 credit towards anything in Lisa Leonard Design’s entire collection
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “WEAR ME” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about something in your closet that doubles (or that you wish could double) as home decor. Do you display your purse collection for all to see? Do you swag a scarf over a hook by the door for some color? Or do you have a favorite dress whose fabric would look awesome as curtains or an accent pillow?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 24th at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
- PRIZE SHIPS: All over the globe!
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

WEAR ME –
Nah, everything in my closet is for the singular purpose of dressing myself. However, I inherited some lovely fedora style hats from my Italian grandfather which I have hung on the wall for display and as a tribute to him.

We have two coat racks hanging on the wall in our entry way that opens up into our living room. I love how the coats and bags create their own work of art while doing double duty as a closet too!

WEAR ME … My husband and I needed a headboard for our bed. We actually mounted a wooden curtain rod at headboard height and hung all kinds of beautiful scarves and boas from it (I have a whole collection). The effect was really fun and artistic.

I have a pair of black dressy heels with a dash of sparkle that I adore and are well worth the pain. Maybe I should put them in a shadow box on the wall?!

My husband made me a shoe rack for Christmas and yet my shoes are still scattered around our home. I guess it doesn’t help that I have way too many pairs!

I would say my purse collection has found a way to display itself. It started with me placing a few hooks on my bedroom wall for a place to throw them at the end of the day, but it ended up looking like a fashion shrine to my collection! I even have a little silk-embroidered Chinese take-out container purse that usually finds its way on my night stand, as it’s just too pretty to put away.

WEAR ME! I have nothing that could pull double-duty like some of these pieces…I love the Sparkle Chandelier necklace!!
Patricia Sylvester says
Wear ME! While this seems to be the common answer – I too have a wonderful oversized scarf that I use for many things. It is first, of course, a scarf. It also doubles as a belt, a pashmina, a table runner for my living room coffee table, an accent to my winged back chair or an arm rest throw for my sofa. When this scarf dies – I think a small part of me will die with it. (especially after the winter we’ve had)

I hang all of my scarves (some are over 50 yaers old!)on a pretty painted peg board in my hall. They all get knotted and look like cute little “nubbins” of colour!!
Ashley says
Wear me— I tend to use scarves to hang over random door knobs or the back of a chair to add some color. I also like to use old hats as decor around the house too :)
Christine says
WEAR ME! I have a stash of old skirts/blouses/dresses made of fabrics I like – I’ve made pillow covers, lampshades, scarves, table runners, and other various crafty projects using pieces of the fabric.

I have a velvet scarf in the living room that I use as a table runner on our console table. It originally went with a velvet holiday dress, but it looks just as good as a runner.

I (really do) have a box of National Geographic magazines from the 50’s and 60’s in my master bedroom closet. The ads on the back cover of the magazines contain beautiful vintage ads for such things as pens, Coca Cola and airlines. I would love to have some of them framed.
I love Lisa Leonard’s jewelry and would love to win this contest.

WEAR ME!! I have a scarf that I got in San Francisco that I would love to use as throw pillows somewhere. The color is the same as the Golden Gate Bridge, and it just reminds me of SF and how much I love it there.
