As we mentioned on Friday, we have an almost unbelievably shallow kitchen sink. So when Kohler offered us a new sink and faucet, it pained us a little to say no… but you know we love to pay things forward to you guys! Which is why we’re thrilled to announce that someone’s about to win any KOHLER sink of their choosing (yes, any!) AND a new KOHLER Sensate Touchless faucet (so you’ll be able to turn your water on and off by just passing your hand – or bowl or spatula – under the faucet’s sensor). They’re even offering a free consultation with a KOHLER interior design to help you pick the perfect sink & faucet pair. That’s a potential prize value of over $2,700. I’d say that’s a pretty good excuse to bake some cupcakes…
Please use the Rafflecopter widget below to enter (it might take a second to load, but it should eventually pop up below this paragraph). This giveaway is available worldwide, though please note that sink offerings vary by country and that KOHLER is providing the product only (installation isn’t included).

This is awesome!!! I could really use both a new sink and a new faucet. I think mine is 5 inches deep too. Definitely thanks for paying this one forward! :)

We have a ceramic sink that needs replacing — would love to win this! What an awesome giveaway!!!
Dee says
I was just saying to my husband that one of the things that I miss most from our last house is our last house is our Kohler farmhouse sink. We’d love to win this!
Elisa says
What a fun giveaway! I’m so impressed with your resolve in saying no to a free sink! Thanks for spreading the love.
Danielle says
Wow, what perfect timing! We’re right smack in the middle of a kitchen renovation and have been trying to find a sink to work with the space. We want stainless and really want an offset drain to give us more space (for trash and recycling)underneath, plus a small radius, to top it all off. Who knew that meant paying $1000 for a sink?! The Kohler credit would come in really, really handy!!
Kacie says
WHY would you wash chocolate frosting off your hands? Eat it! Waste none!
YoungHouseLove says
Haha, amen! Suck it down sista!

Love your stance on these types of things, and you know, perhaps it brings you lots of good karma. I hope so, y’all deserve it.
Netty C says
yes. I see a new sink in my future.
VictoriaN says
What a nice offer. Our kitchen would sure love to welcome a new sink and faucet.
betty says

I’d love to win this as my house was built in 1953 – and so was the sink!!!
Emily says
I think y’all should do away with the “no swag policy” and start accepting these awesome free things! It’s one of the perks of being a famous blogger, and we would think no less of y’all! I think it would beep great for y’all to get this amazing stuff. Do you ever think about doing away with that policy and accepting the freebies? Any little part of you that really wants to?
YoungHouseLove says
No way! It’s SO much easier/simpler to pay them forward. And if we really want something we don’t mind saving up and buying it like everyone else :)

I wouldn’t blame you for taking freebies either, but I am so glad you don’t! It makes me believe you when you say you like/dislike something. I also dislike reading a blog that feels like a commercial. I don’t like commercials at all in fact. That’s why I have Netflix!
Thanks guys, hope I win!
Jen says
I want to echo Angel; I wouldn’t blame you for taking freebies, but I’m also glad you don’t. I’ll admit that I’ve stopped reading a lot of blogs with heavily sponsored content because I don’t feel like I can always trust reviews, and sometimes the content even feels less “genuine.” I don’t begrudge anyone trying to make a living off of their blog, but am glad that you’ve found a way to be successful at doing that while maintaining your no swag policy.
jeannette says
thank you for being one of the few who accept no swag.
it adds real enterprise to your choices and trend-setting authenticity to your taste.
not to mention integrity. the realness of your taste and your work, in addition to the idea that you upcycle humble things, lends a real moral authority — which is beauty, also — to this whole thing.
we appreciate it.
Holly says
To give someone else a chance we’re not going to enter because we already have a Kohler sink and faucet that we LOVE! Although our faucet isn’t the touch one it’s still terrific and without a doubt our best decision made was the sink. IT’S HUGE! One big, deep stainless steel bowl of awesomeness! No divider!
Terisia says
What karma it would be to win this sink!
Lacey L says
Can i just say that i love that YHL doesn’t make me jump through 500 hoops to enter a giveaway. I don’t like it when I have to run all over the internet liking this and that for entries. Thanks for making it straight-forward!
Rosana says
Amen!!! Please keep it that way…sometimes I feel liked I’m being punished for not having a facebook or twitter acct :p
Cassie says
That’s some serious will power saying no. I’m in the same boat, my kitchen sink is SO shallow, I get soaked every time I do dishes. Crossing my fingers for sure on this one!!
Trischa says
AHHH! I have been drooling over apron front sinks forever. I am crossing my fingers, toes, and hair!!!!!!!
Courtney dobbs says
Could really use this!!
Meghan says
We could totes use a new kitchen sink!
norrey weeks says
I know just how you feel. I had a shallow sink in my home and hated it. I love seeing big deep sinks.
Melissa R says
This is awesome! Although I am renting now, so it would go in storage for another few months :)
I will say though, while I appreciate you guys trying to keep it real, I don’t like the haters who get mad when you get free things. I read several other blogs by people who get things given to them, and I don’t feel like it diminishes the integrity of what you do at all, as long as it is an item you would have purchased anyway. So do what you gotta do, but if you ever change your mind you have my full support!!
Sarah says
Oooh! A new sink to go with my soon-to-be-painted kitchen cabinets? Yes, please! :)
Erin says
Thank you guys for the awesome giveaway! I hope I win, our sink is rusty and broken and we definitely need a new one!
mary says
Would love to win this! Deep sink we have now is a total backache!
Thanks for the chance!
Ashley says
Yes please! We are doing our kitchen and need a sink!
sp says
Thanks for keeping it real! This is why I read your blog – you’re writing about authentic experiences. Too many blogs these days are all about advertorials and no authentic content. It’s almost like their entire lives are being sponsored.
Joan says
I would love this for our soon to be new home. I love the farmhouse sink and my little girl would love the auto faucet.
ErinY says
Awesome give away!! I grew up where Kohler was founded in Wisconsin. I’ve always said I’ll have all Kohler products in my house someday. It’ll be pricey but I love supporting all of the people in my hometown.
If you ever get a chance, you should definitely check out their design center-it’s amazing!! It’s about an hour north of MIlwaukee.
Holly says
Right now. ANY other sink makes me giddy with joy.
Kendra says
My sink is leaking at the base, this is perfect timing!
Amy says
Hi guys! This giveaway kicks ace!
I’m confused on the bonus question….. Please help.

So I think you guys give away some pretty awesome stuff each week, but this is by far THE GREATEST Fab Freebie I’ve seen in 3+ years!!!
Although, that may have a lot to do with my dingy kitchen sink that is currently turning a moldy green color…
Either way, GREAT FAB FREEBIE!
Chris P says
Let’s see-shallow stained porcelain sink-not so nice faucet. The plumber dropped a wrench and chipped the upper deck of the sink, and the bowl of the sink when the wrench bounced. Thinking he was helping, he applied a gooey substance, which is so white it accents the stains! LOL! I need a new sink!!
Rae Ann says
I’m doing an urban farmhouse kitchen reno and would LOVE a nice deep farmhouse sink!
Cassie says
What an awesome giveaway! I hope you guys have the means to improve your 5″ sink ASAP.
Megan Poletti says
Okay, so… Did she apply that cupcake frosting with her fingers? I’m all for licking the spoon when you’re done, but this is going a little too far :)
YoungHouseLove says
Ha! I’m all about licking every last bit off. No wasting it down the drain…
xo

Megan Poletti says
Yes, I have been known to lick a mixing bowl, I’m not gonna lie. Still. Frosting handprints? Hahaha, this whole photo is cracking me up!
corrie says
Crossing my fingers HARD on this one – my parents FINALLY got the green light to demo/rebuild their retirement home at the Jersey shore after it was ruined by Sandy, and this would make my mom so happy! She’s wanted one of those faucets for, like, ever.
Antonella Guidi says
What? “This giveaway is available worldwide”? My translation is right? In all the word? In Italy too? O_o

If this was a who needs it the most giveaway, I think I’d have it in the bag. Even if I don’t win, HUGE thanks for bringing this product to my attention! My bf had his arms amputated after a work accident, so this faucet has our names all over it!! Such a simple yet perfect solution!
Amy says
Thanks for explaining your policy on free stuff……you guys are pretty special-i.e. amazing and full of integrity! YAY!
Erika says
Holy Darth Vader fingernails. Nailed it.
sarah says
ooh….i have told my husband maybe 50 times (or more) that i really really want that faucet. however, we are planning to move soon, so i would just hold onto it to put in the new house!
thanks thanks thanks.
Bea says
I think it is so awesome that you do not accept freebies. I know that I can trust you to tell it like it is. With all the freebies so many bloggers are accepting right now, I am starting to feel like it is one long commercial with sleep number beds popping up all over, even blogs about a new kind of cookie. I am afraid that they will kill the goose that laid the golden egg.
Etcetorize says
The kitchen is the last room I need to update, I would so LOVE to start with the countertop and sink :)
Julianne says
Ooooooo, some gorgeous stuff here! I would LOVE that white farmers sink & touchless faucet! Great giveaway! Thanks for finding such fabulous stuff, guys!!
Caitlin says
Ugh!! I’d love to enter this raffle- we live in a rental home (no way could we replace the sink/faucet) and our sink is like 3″ deep. I look like I just took a bath every time I was dishes. HATE.
Heather says
Keep it real by excepting free bee’s!! What the heck!! I don’t understand the issue!!
YoungHouseLove says
Aw thanks Heather, but this is just what works for us. Coming from an advertising background (we both worked in NYC at an agency together before moving to Richmond and starting a blog) we just wanted to move away from accepting free stuff in exchange for posts. So it just feels right for us to pay for everything that we use in our house like any other DIYer at home would :)

My wife and I were talking recently about needing to replace the counter, sink and leaky faucet. This would be great.
