I don’t use the word “adorable” very often, but I may just have to break it out for this week’s giveaway. Eleni Creative uses felt to make (here it comes…) adorable creations for babies, kids and even adults. And they’re offering up two great prize options for one winner this week.
For those who have a baby in the house or one on the way (or just really love mobiles), you can commission a custom felt mobile to fit the theme of your nursery or choose from one of Eleni’s existing designs, like flying birds – which looks great in a familiar looking nursery (because it’s one we house crashed last fall).
Of course you can also request for something cheekier, like flying pigs (look at that awesome craftsmanship).
And for older kids (or older kids at heart) you can opt for TWO of Eleni’s quirky stuffed animals called Zoonies. They’d obviously be fun for a kids room, but Sherry and I could see them adding a bit of whimsy to your usual collection of throw pillows too (the elephant could totally live on the daybed in our sunroom and the whale would even work on our bed).
Here’s how to enter to get your very own felt creation:
- PRIZE: One custom mobile OR two Zoonies from Eleni Creative.
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FELT ME UP!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: Since today’s title is a reference to one of my favorite classic 80’s songs, we’d love to know what your favorite songs from the 1980s are (feel free to include a link so we can all enjoy the blast from the past).
- CONTEST CLOSES: Wednesday, September 30th at 8pm EST
- WINNER: One lucky lady or gent, but we’ve got a discount lined up for the rest of you
- PRIZE SHIPS: Just here in the US of A this time
- THE USUAL: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

The song that gets me groovin’ from the 80’s is ‘Pour Some Sugar On Me’ by Def Leppard! To say I love it is an understatement. Thank goodness I work at an 80’s club and get to listen to it every Saturday night! “Take the bottle, shake it up…”

Karma Chameleon by the Culture Club makes me happy. Just like the flying pig mobile makes me happy. It would look so good in my daughters nursery since her ceiling is already painted with sky and clouds.

I feel obligated to put New Kids On The Block, which could be early 90’s too, but I was obsessed (even had a Jordan Knight sleeping bag)! The lasting favorites are John Cougar Mellencamp (any and all!) and Hall & Oats (Private Eyes).

i’m a youngin’ as well (born in 86) so don’t have many nostalgic 80s songs – if i did, i’m sure they were something from a wee-sing video too, which i’d hate to go on record admitting! instead i’ll claim ‘straight up’ – paula abdul.

One of my 80’s faves was actually my very first 45 record from 1981: “Baby come to me” by James Ingram and Patti Austin. I LOVED that song and played it over and over and over and over… Which is kinda strange considering I was only 5 years old!
