Fab Freebie: I’ll Stop The World & Felt With You

I don’t use the word “adorable” very often, but I may just have to break it out for this week’s giveaway. Eleni Creative uses felt to make (here it comes…) adorable creations for babies, kids and even adults. And they’re offering up two great prize options for one winner this week.

For those who have a baby in the house or one on the way (or just really love mobiles), you can commission a custom felt mobile to fit the theme of your nursery or choose from one of Eleni’s existing designs, like flying birds – which looks great in a familiar looking nursery (because it’s one we house crashed last fall).

Of course you can also request for something cheekier, like flying pigs (look at that awesome craftsmanship).

And for older kids (or older kids at heart) you can opt for TWO of Eleni’s quirky stuffed animals called Zoonies. They’d obviously be fun for a kids room, but Sherry and I could see them adding a bit of whimsy to your usual collection of throw pillows too (the elephant could totally live on the daybed in our sunroom and the whale would even work on our bed).

    FELT ME UP! And I’d either say Africa by Todo, or Walking on Sunshine (because it’s just too 80’s happy!). Or, “I Want Money”… oh the 80’s. The best people were created then ;)

    I tuned my Sirius on the big hair 80s rock . . . .playing now – Skid Row “sweet little sister”. The only thing I’m missing is a can of aquanet.

    PS – I’d love the mobile. When hubby returns home from deployment it’s baby making time!

    Favorite 80s song is without a question Walk like an Egyptian, by The Bangles. Love some vintage 80s Madonna, too — Like a Prayer is a very very close second.

    Red Red Wine by UB40 one of my favorite songs… EVER.

    In fact my husband and I danced “The Way You Do The Things You Do” by both The Temptations & UB40 as our first dance on our wedding day.

    THE FINAL COUNTDOWN by Europe – not because the do-be-do-be-do of the guitars, but because of the awesome and fantastic stage hair!

    That reminds me, my crimper! I still have it – and it STILL WORKS! Perhaps I should turn my hair into a cascade of waffle-looking hilarity tomorrow in honor of this glorious giveaway? I think I shall!

    How can you not love songs from the 80’s?!

    My fave would probably have to be Billy Joel’s The Longest Time… mostly because it reminds me of my “childhood” and I can remember it playing in the kitchen of my family’s first home.

    Oh the 80s songs are almost too numerous to mention, but a few of my faves are:
    Come On Eileen
    Time After Time
    Love is a Battlefield

    and anything by Madonna or Michael Jackson…

    Those songs just take me back to Saturday afternoons at the roller skating rink and jelly bracelets, switching Swatch watches with my boyfriend and stretch pants.

    My all time favorite 80’s song is “Got My Mind Set on You” but the Traveling Wilburys – though I think most people think it’s just by George Harrison. :)

    “Monkey Gone to Heaven” by the Pixies, in honor of the fact that I’m going to see them LIVE again next month, a full 22 years after I fell in love with them. Yikes!

    These creations are adorable! Can’t wait to get mine. :)
