Fab Freebie: It’s A One-derful Life

Toss on some old clothes, because four of you are about to get painting. This week’s giveaway will cover everything you’ll need, starting with $60 worth of Olympic ONE paint. ONE is Olympic’s new paint + primer in… wait for it… one. It hides stains, resists mildew, and survives scrubbing. And at about $25 per can, you’ll be able to score at least two cans with your prize (and maybe even an extra quart).

But you can’t paint without the proper supplies, so the folks over at StackExchange are also hooking up our four lucky winners with a bunch of stuff that we hand-picked for ya (cause we paint kind of a lot, actually). So we know good rollers, Frog Tape, a drop cloth, and a short handled brush can come in handy. If you still need another boost to get painting, head over to one of StackExchange’s 50+ community-driven Q&A sites. Their DIY channel in particular is always abuzz with topics like “What is low VOC paint?” or “Can you paint a popcorn ceiling?”

    ONE THING I WANT TO KNOW IS will this paint truly cover mildew? I buy and sell old primitive furniture and many times there are deep stains and some are oil based in nature. Will this really work?
    I’m dying to know the answer to our economic issues? And what will happen during our next election…….

    ONE THING I WANT TO KNOW IS… Why the old owners of our house didn’t use tape when they painted or even just remotely try to cut in around the original 1920’s wood trim in our place. That’s right, it’s slopped all over the nice wood. :(

    one thing i want to know is…. who on earth thought white tile with dark grout was good for a kitchen floor, it never stays clean and is a mess with 3 kids and a small dog coming in and out.

    I want to know what the best time of the year to paint is. I suppose it depends on what part of the US you’re in, but what’s the optimal temperature and humidity level, and does it help to open the windows?

    would it have killed this previous home’s owner to have matched the hardware or outlets? One hallway . . . 5 different door knobs, 3 different colored outlets, oiy.
