We were so pumped when Room & Board wrote to us about doing a giveaway. Their furniture and accessories are practically the epitome of the clean-lined, comfortable-yet-sophisticated, natural-material-ed (?) aesthetic that we love. And while there’s plenty to ogle over on their site, one of their Galbraith & Paul pendant lights is officially up for grabs. There are a wide variety of graphic pattern-happy designs, so follow this link to hunt down your favorite (and we completely understand if you get sidetracked by all of the pillows while you’re there).
Here are the deets:
- PRIZE: One Galbraith & Paul pendant (priced up to $449) from Room & Board
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M BOARD” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: … if you could pick any room in your house to magically be more illuminated and full of light, what space would that be? Your basement? A closet? A tiny half bathroom?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, October 13th at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

My living room! The room has two large windows, but it faces a busy street that gets a lot of pedestrian traffic and we just don’t feel comfortable opening up the blinds and letting in the sun, as well as all the looky-lous.
Kristi says
I’M BOARD! Definitely the master bath! :)

IM BOARD.
Every Room in our house needs to be more illuminated. Our house was built in 1975 and has 4 overhead junction boxes total! And 2 of those are in the kitchen. It is so hard to get enough good light with lamps.

I would love to brighten up our living room. We just bought a zero-lot-line home, so one entire side of our house is without windows/natural light as its technically part of the neighbor’s yard.
Katie says

I wish our family room was brighter. It’s bordered by a large roofed lanai on the outside of the house that blocks a lot of light from coming into the room.

I’m board! Our dining room suffers from a brass light fixture from the ’80s and casts a yellow glow…more light (and better presented) would be great.

“I’m Board!” OH GOOD TWO posts today!!! We missed you Friday afternoon, but hope you were able to get your home in tip top shape!

Our front entry needs some new light. We have the fixture that was there when we moved. A yellow glassed art deco number that is actually quite nice but it doesn’t give off much light, only a dim yellow glow. I thought I’d do a little DYI project on it but I can’t do anything about the yellow glass.
Kelsey says
I’M BOARD! I would love more light in our living room!
Tara says
