We were so pumped when Room & Board wrote to us about doing a giveaway. Their furniture and accessories are practically the epitome of the clean-lined, comfortable-yet-sophisticated, natural-material-ed (?) aesthetic that we love. And while there’s plenty to ogle over on their site, one of their Galbraith & Paul pendant lights is officially up for grabs. There are a wide variety of graphic pattern-happy designs, so follow this link to hunt down your favorite (and we completely understand if you get sidetracked by all of the pillows while you’re there).
Here are the deets:
- PRIZE: One Galbraith & Paul pendant (priced up to $449) from Room & Board
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M BOARD” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: … if you could pick any room in your house to magically be more illuminated and full of light, what space would that be? Your basement? A closet? A tiny half bathroom?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, October 13th at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

I’M BOARD!
My dining room is desperate for a new lighting fixture! The colonial-style brass one that we inherited w/ the purchase of the home needs to GO.
Geoff says
I’m board! And I would like one of these for my basement.
Amy G says
I’m BOARD!
I would love to have some more light in our living room. We left behind a house with a HUGE picture window and the light in our current room pales in comparison.
Jessica says
I’m Board! Our 1st floor bath that has zero windows :(
Lindsay says
I’m Board.
I would love light in my bedroom closet. I live in a 1950’s home and the idea of a walk in closet with a light to actually see your clothes was obviously not a priority back in the day.
Angie says
I’m BOARD! This is exactly what I need in my dining area.
Teresa K says
I’M BOARD! One of these would be wonderful in my dining room.
Mei says
I’m Board! My baby boy’s room has the most horrible light and I would love this for him, now that we’re spending more time in there reading and playing.

“I”M BOARD!!”
Honestly, none. We just moved and one of the huge selling factors was the light in every single room, tons of it! It’s great, I have plants everywhere.
l.overstreet says
I’M BOARD! Our living room is in desperate need of a pendant light. We have an ugly floor lamp that I hate, but as grad students we are dependent on every corner of our house being conducive to studying (so we have no excuses for why our theses aren’t writing themselves); therefore, the lamp has remained for over a year! The hook is already installed, just need an awesome pendant lamp to finish the room off.
Tara Venable says
I’m BOARD! And, would love one of those lights anywhere! :)
Jen says
I’M BOARD!
I’m actually pretty happy with the amount of light in our house. But since we moved into a place with a bunch of 70’s style light fixtures, a Room and Board pendant would sure “lighten up” the atmosphere. :)
Melissa G says
I’M BOARD… with my drab lighting in my kitchen & master bedroom! It’d be tough to make the call, but if I had one of those gorgeous pendants, I think I could handle it :)

I’M BOARD! My entire house needs light! It’s a dark cave. But that’s mostly because we’re surrounded by beautiful and majestic trees that we love…so be it… I LOVE these pendants and had never heard of Room & Board before!

I can absolutely see one of these in my dining room. The room doesn’t get much light and could use one of these pendants.

my master bedroom could use a great pendant!!!

I’M BOARD!
Our living room needs more ambient lighting. The light from the ceiling fan is just too harsh. Our little lamps just aren’t bright enough either. But, we can’t have anything bigger as our two dogs use the living room as their wrestling ring/racetrack.

I’m BOARD! I’d have to say my guest bedroom. The only window is north-facing and has a bunch of trees outside of it, so the light situation is pretty sad.

I’M BOARD!
I would definitely light up my bedroom more. It’s always so dark in here, which gives it a gloomy feeling, and let’s be honest…no one wants to feel gloomy in their own bedroom!
Micalla says
I’m board!
I would love to add a beautiful light to the bathroom off my bedroom. My room is filled with all sorts of light with my huge window, but my poor non-windowed bathroom is a bit neglected, forced to rely on a generic bathroom lighting fixture.
