Fab Freebie: Light Up A Room (& Board)

We were so pumped when Room & Board wrote to us about doing a giveaway. Their furniture and accessories are practically the epitome of the clean-lined, comfortable-yet-sophisticated, natural-material-ed (?) aesthetic that we love. And while there’s plenty to ogle over on their site, one of their Galbraith & Paul pendant lights is officially up for grabs. There are a wide variety of graphic pattern-happy designs, so follow this link to hunt down your favorite (and we completely understand if you get sidetracked by all of the pillows while you’re there).

    I’M BOARD!

    I would love to add a new lighting fixture to our TINY downstairs hallway. Currently, our ceiling is rockin’ the ever popular “boob” light (you know, the cheap/typical builder home style). The hallway can be seen from the dining room, living room, and houses the doors leading to our son’s room and bathroom. I would love a punchy new light to reflect our style and to be ogled from many rooms in our home!

    I’m Board! I am lucky that my entire ranch is light and airy, except for the scary basement with lots of paneling. I would love more light down there!

    I’M BOARD!

    My bedroom needs more light! We have a weird sloped ce3iling, so the low part is only 6ft tall, and the high part is 8 feet. Nothing can hang from the ceiling and tall lamps can’t shed their light :(

    Have been looking all over for just the right pendant lamp! Could not believe it when i saw these. Thought I would have to make one and I am not the craftiest person. WOW!

    I’m Board!! I’d love to add more light to my 4 year old son’s room. It’s in the basement, which usually isn’t a problem because it’s a garden-level basement, but his only window looks out under the deck. It’s really dark in that room!

    I’M BOARD!

    We definitely need some more light–we live in a 100-year old + four-plex. When we moved in, we realized that neither bedroom, nor the living room had any over-head lights–none at all–not to mention limited outlets). Er, surprise…! A lovely pendant light would be an amazing asset to our guest room/office/all purpose room, which we haven’t worked out a good lighting system…(right now we have to cross the room to turn on the floor lamp, which is plugged into the only outlet).

    Our living room! We live in the basement and I would love to have at least ONE more window to add some good vitamin D carrying light into the room.

    I’M BOARD!! PLEASE!! I bought a dining room light fixture not too long ago that was a mistake and this would be a way to solve it guilt-free. I REALLY hope I win this one!!

    I’M BOARD!!

    My husband and I live in an apartment, the only light we have in our living room (w/ vaulted ceilings) is a floor lamp in the corner. We would love to spice the room a little as well as add some much needed light!

    I’d love more light in my tiny master bath. It was quite bright when it was lime green, but now that it’s a more muted green, I’d love some more light.

    I’M BORED!

    We have an old fruit cellar in our house that we use to store our growing wine collection–along with a random assortment of sporting equipment. It’d be great to have more light in that tiny, dark space!
