Fab Freebie: Light Up A Room (& Board)

We were so pumped when Room & Board wrote to us about doing a giveaway. Their furniture and accessories are practically the epitome of the clean-lined, comfortable-yet-sophisticated, natural-material-ed (?) aesthetic that we love. And while there’s plenty to ogle over on their site, one of their Galbraith & Paul pendant lights is officially up for grabs. There are a wide variety of graphic pattern-happy designs, so follow this link to hunt down your favorite (and we completely understand if you get sidetracked by all of the pillows while you’re there).

    i’m board…our second bedroom feels like fingernails on a chalkboard. we have wonderful land lords, but i cannot for the life of me figure out why they painted the tiny rooms of the little brick bungalow such dark colors! so this “2nd bedroom” is really my closet- and we refer to it as the “green room” in everyday conversation.

    i have bakers rack shelving and cloth bins from the container store as my storage. the room is about 9×11 or maybe even smaller. it is painted dark forest duck hunting green and has a linoleum floor. i have given it the least amount of attention because i feel like it is a lost cause- so i just use it as a place to throw my random junk. i spend as little time in there as possible. please help. i am truly board with our little pit of a green room.

    I’M BORED and would love to replace the light in my dining room. The current lighting is the old owner’s ceiling fan light – with the fan blades removed. Not. So. Sylish.

    I’M BOARD!

    Our living room is so dark – there’s no light fixtures and small, oak-shaded windows. I have lamps everywhere, but it’s still dark. But this would go in my girls’ room – because I broke their overhead light the other day moving furniture.

    I’d illuminate my spare bedroom. It’s at the back (well technically, the front) and it gets almost no natural light.

    I’m BOARD!

    I feel like the lighting in our bedroom just isn’t sufficient. We have a fan/light, a light in the nook area that is never used because it’s in an awkward spot, and a lamp by the bed. But it always seems dim/off! (Not that I want it super bright, but you know what I mean).

    and I would so put this in the living room.. there is no overhead light and i hate that!!

    I want an overhead light for direct lighting to go with the lamps i have had to put around the room..

    plus the white one with red flowers (?) would fit perfectly in my room!!!

    I’M BOARD!!! And my dining room is bored!!!! My dining and living room is all open and besides new window treatments, a new light fixture would REALLY spruce the dining space up and set it off from the other room!!! I LOVE the pendants!

    I would love to add some light to my kitchen. Bright kitchens make my day, but ours doesn’t get much sun, so adding some artificial lighting would be great.

    I’M BOARD!!!

    I’d love for my living room to actually have an overhead light fixture!! What is it with old apartments (circa 1920) not having them? There is only so much that table and floor lamps can handle.
