Sure, we’d all love to gaze out of our home’s windows at some breathtakingly beautiful vista. But in reality, some windows are portals to the back of the neighbor’s fence, an unwelcome glare, or even the view of a man walking around in his tighty-whities all night because he doesn’t realize his curtains are sheer (true story from my New York City days – yup, just like the naked guy from Friends). All the more reason to appreciate window coverings, like these beauties from Next Day Blinds:
This week Next Day Blinds is shucking out $200 to one lucky lad or lady to spend towards any custom-made, premium-quality, ready-the-next-day blinds, shades, sheers, rollers, romans or even shutters. And they’ve got enough styles to make your head spin (which you can browse right here).
Here are the giveaway deets:
- PRIZE: $200 towards any Next Day Blinds order
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BLIND ME!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about a view you wish you could cover (or are glad that you’ve already covered). Maybe the neighbors can look right into your bathroom (or vice versa)? Or you once stayed in a hotel room with a not so nice view?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, November 10th at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
******************************
And our one lucky winner (as selected by random.org) is… Hien (who’s looking to cover up some sun-drenched kitchen windows). Congrats!
Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Next Day Blinds.

Blind Me! I already scored some West Elm curtains on the cheap for our bedroom and now I just to be able to get rid of the dusty/dirty/broken blinds we inherited from the past owners of our house. Help, please.

My dining room windows looks out onto the beautiful air conditioner. That isn’t really a view to look at when you are eating.
Andrea says
BLIND ME!
We have an awesome bay window in our apartment with 8′ high windows, but they’re covered by nasty aluminum blinds! If it weren’t for the fact that we’re renting, we would have invested in some custom blinds long ago. This giveaway makes it worth it!
Oh, and I just realized I didn’t answer the question…we live in an urban city so said bay window looks right out onto the busy street and neighbor’s brownstone. Gotta give ourselves some privacy!
Quiana says
BLIND ME! I would cover the window in my baby girl’s nursery which faces an abandoned building.
Meredith says
BLIND ME! We have great views, but we need new blinds for our nursery. All day long it is so bright in there – not so great for naps.
Kathryn says
BLIND ME!
Our neighbors to the right have an adult son with a brain injury. He often sits at the window in his house that faces our house and waves to us as we’re eating dinner… throughout the entire dinner! He’s just about as sweet as could be, but we have found ourselves leaving those windows’ blinds closed more frequently.
Kate says
BLIND ME (please lord!!!) Horrible ugly old man whose window looks directly into my NYC studio (at my bed!). I don’t think he owns any shirts…nobody needs to see that!
Tammy says
BLIND ME!
I need to cover my little boy’s window with a blind of some sort because his room is on the front side of the house and all he has right now are drapes. I love having blinds and drapes to help with energy efficiency too!

Pretty much all of our windows are not a good view – city living for ya…
Katie says
BLIND ME!! We’ve been searching for months for some kind of window treatment for our kitchen door that leads to our breezeway. It kinda creeps me out at night…I’m waiting for the night when I turn around and there’s a face in the window! Ahhhh! I’d rather have any peeping faces covered by some nice roman shades :)
Katherine says
BLIND ME! I really need to block my neighbor’s flood light from shining into my living room!
Jon says

Melanie Oldeman says
BLIND ME! I would replace the hideous bathroom shade left by previous owner. It covers a huge window that otherwise allows neighbors to see unobstructed into our shower and the rest of the bathroom. Yikes!!
Alana says
BLIND ME
I would love to put up some window coverings on our side door so we don’t have to look out and see our neighbor enjoying his morning cigarette :( !
Shaina says
BLIND ME!!!
Our kitchen window looks right into a hydrangea bush. It’s about six feet tall, eight feet around, and grows literally a foot away from the window. I guess that is actually the opposite of a window needing covered but it certainly is a strange view.
P.S. Our complex won’t let us trim the bush :(
Patti says
Blind Me! I would love to cover the view of my neighbor’s deck, let’s just say it’s too close for comfort.
Laura says
BLIND ME…
We just moved into our first home. The master bathroom has a beautiful side window that I thought was private…until I realized it wasn’t one night when I was changing!
Abby says
BLIND ME!
Our apartment’s front windows look right out onto our super nasty parking lot and the backside of the apartment complex next door. Nice, eh?
Marlo Iverson says
BLIND ME! We’ve lived in our house for a year now but still have the dingy blinds that the previous owners left. We’ve had to get a lot of other stuff for the house and curtains and blinds have fallen to the bottom of our “to get” list. This prize would definitely be put to good use!!!!

We only have a neighbor on one side and I’d love to block out their junky yard!
Diane W says
BLIND ME !
I have a second story foyer window that is UNCOVERED !
It opens/looks on to the hallway on the second floor. Since it’s a 2nd story window over the foyer with no walk-up access we have never covered it – in 16 years !! I didn’t want to get on a ladder or have my husband try to do it either.
I would LOVE for Next Day Blinds to custom cover my 2nd story foyer window, PLEASE !!
Thank you.

I need these blinds to cover up an enormous window that looks straight from my office into my neighbors house – watching their house all day is a distraction I don’t need!
Michelle Kersey says
BLIND ME!
I need to cover my wall of windows in my living room! Not that the view is bad (rural subdivision) BUT… I don’t want others being able to see into my house from the front porch!
Renae says
Blind me! We’ve got way more windows in this house than I thought we did. My patio door could use a covering. At night we’re in a fish bowl, exposed to a busy street. I try to stay out of there if I can!
Emily says
BLIND ME – we have cheap plastic mini-blinds in all of our windows that I would love to replace…
Mim says
BLIND ME!
Er, that felt really weird to type. I would love to have working blinds on our all-glass front door.
Audrey says
BLIND ME!
I have a beautiful sunroom in the back of my house, but it overlooks my neighbor’s ugly yard. It could definitely use some blinds.
Kristin says
BLIND ME!
I have temporary blinds (read “paper ones from Lowe’s) hanging in my dining room to block my back-door neighbors’ view into my house. I’m waiting for my mom to make me some top-down/bottom-up roman shades, but I’m in line behind my sister’s THREE rooms of curtains, so it could be a while!
Christie says
BLIND ME!
Squeal! I would love to use this towards some plantation shutters in our family room. :-)
Beth Ann says
Blind me!
Several of our windows could use new blinds!
Traci says
BLIND ME!
My living room has windows on 3 of the 4 walls. Not that I don’t love natural light, but no one needs to catch me watching shows I’m embarrassed to admit to. Ahem-Keeping up with the Kardashians– ahem.
Cara says
Blind me! I don’t mind any of our views, but we need some privacy on our back sliding door!
Sarah T says
Blind me, please! The sun blinds me every evening as I make dinner in the kitchen. Some shades would be greatly appreciated!
Tara Wilkinson says

Our cheap vertical blinds in our living room have got to go! We need something more sturdy that can outlast the dog’s wicked tail and the toddler and baby in the house.

The boy and I just moved into a new house that had no window treatments! I know, crazy.
The frigid Chicago winter is approaching, and we’re in desperate need of some cozy drapes to keep our master bedroom from feeling like a meat locker.
