Sure, we’d all love to gaze out of our home’s windows at some breathtakingly beautiful vista. But in reality, some windows are portals to the back of the neighbor’s fence, an unwelcome glare, or even the view of a man walking around in his tighty-whities all night because he doesn’t realize his curtains are sheer (true story from my New York City days – yup, just like the naked guy from Friends). All the more reason to appreciate window coverings, like these beauties from Next Day Blinds:
This week Next Day Blinds is shucking out $200 to one lucky lad or lady to spend towards any custom-made, premium-quality, ready-the-next-day blinds, shades, sheers, rollers, romans or even shutters. And they’ve got enough styles to make your head spin (which you can browse right here).
Here are the giveaway deets:
- PRIZE: $200 towards any Next Day Blinds order
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BLIND ME!” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about a view you wish you could cover (or are glad that you’ve already covered). Maybe the neighbors can look right into your bathroom (or vice versa)? Or you once stayed in a hotel room with a not so nice view?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, November 10th at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

We need blinds for the bedroom.
Lindsay says
BLIND ME!
We have those awful cheap plastic blinds up in our bedroom and I would love a change!
Tessah says
BLIND ME! Actually I’m one of those annoying neighbors who doesn’t want to bother with blinds,I love the sunshine! But my hubby begs to differ and is rather stressed about my lack of modesty – so he’ll be the one to flip for this freebie:)
Kelly H says
BLIND ME… I will cover our ugly brown alumnium window panes…Seriously who chooses poop brown for their windows?
Diane says
BLIND ME!!
The door in my kitchen that leads to the backyard looks out onto my neighbor’s backyard. I don’t mind except when we are eating dinner – feels like I’m on display! The blind on the door has been played with by my 2 young kiddos – and needs replaced!!
Lauren says
BLIND ME!!! I would like to literally blind my neighbords from peeking in my kitchen windows. they are so very nosey!
Anna says
“BLIND ME!”
I would definitely cover the window in my bedroom since it looks into my neighbors back yard and they can totally see into my bedroom when they’re out there grilling or playing. Ugh, it makes me so sad that I have to keep my bedroom shades down. :(
erin says
BLIND ME!
we have 12 foot ceilings with 9 and 10 foot windows. one of those windows happens to be in our bathroom :/. right now we have wood blinds but i would love a pretty roman shade there instead!
Katie says
BLIND ME!
I’d love to replace some of our cheap blinds with something nicer for a prettier view on the inside.
Lora says
BLIND ME! No horrendous views to cover, but I’d love to replace the mini blinds that are original from our house purchase…they are the “slats bent – won’t close all the way- one side sags when opened” kind of blinds! :)
Libby says
BLIND ME!
Hmm…this is a tough choice, but I’d probably choose putting light-blocking roller shades on the 2 large living room windows. They could block out the hot sun during the summer months (cutting down our AC bill) and block the view from outside when the lights are on at night (we currently have sheers that someone could potentially see through at night if they looked hard enough…it can really bother me if I’m watching something scary at night by myself!).
Kelley says
BLIND ME! The window by our fireplace. It literally blinds us b/c the afternoon sun pours in on us shining right on the couch. Ouch!
Danielle Lenz says
BLIND ME!!!
I absolutely love our house and the flow is amazing but one minor issue is that the window next the the front door gives a straight shot view into the master bedroom entrance and it is also where the dresser is. I am always afraid someone is going to see me in my rob or worse. Something to cover that window would be amazing!
Maria says
BLIND ME!
Our huge bedroom window looks out onto the street. So anyone passing our house can see right into our bedroom!
MJ in NYC says
BLIND ME! PLEASE.
I’m in a desperate need for new blinds. The mini blinds that cover the 3 large windows in my living room are all destroyed by my pooch trying to protect our property from squirrels outside our windows.
Cristy says
BLIND ME!
Our Dining room & Living room have big huge windows that overlook our backyard. It isn’t so much that our backyard is a horrible view, but that the windows face west which make for some blinding light from the sun in the afternoon/early evening. We currently have yucky plastic vertical blinds hanging up and they are just dreadful. It would take 6 curtain panels just to cover the spread here, which doesn’t really hit our budget as a priority. Covering that view (or that lack of being able to see b/c of the blinding light) would be my first goal.
Nina says
BLIND ME!
I would love to replace the stained and yucky roman shades the previous owners of our house left in the living room. Didn’t have the time yet to replace them…Taking them down is not an option don’t want to entertain the whole neighborhood with window watching me ;)
Carly2 says
BLIND ME!
Our Master Bedroom window and our neighbor’s kitchen window are just a narrow driveway away from each other. Currently, we have cardboard that is painter’s taped to the window. We could definitely put those blinds to good use!
Brooke says
BLIND ME!
Our new neighbors have a spotlight that shines righ into our bedroom window and they leave it on all night!
MS says
BLIND ME!
I would order something immediately to cover the huge front window of our house…which is actually a bedroom through which you can see the hallway and into the master. Did I mention we live in a ranch and this is all doable from a car in the driveway (or even the street). Need a window treatment for that window STAT!
Kelli says
Blind Me!
We have huge, beautiful windows in our sunroom that I love to keep open during the day, but at night, it creeps me out thinking that everyone in the neighborhood is watching me walk around the house at night!
Felicita says
Blind Me!!
Robyn says
Blind me!
I would love to hide my neighbors house completely. We live on a hill and see the whole half of our neighborhood and the house directly in front of us uses their front yard as a parking lot. Would love to hide from that!
Katie says
BLIND ME!
I would order custom shutters!
Melinda says
Blind me!
The people who live behind us don’t have the cleanest backyard (imagine yard toys everywhere, random yard tools, rarely mow, giant dog chained to a tree, etc.). Anyway – it’s quite an ugly view from our upstairs office. Would loooove to close the shutters and put them out of sight (and mind!).
Julie Anne says
BLIND ME!
Although I would use this for my naked kitchen window, my most urgent window dressing need when I first moved in was definitely bathroom coverings – my house is a 1920’s bungalow twin with my neighbors’, and our houses are 7 feet apart. With a bit of a stretch, we could open our windows and hold hands in the shower – each of us in our own house.
Yep. That’s a big window that needed blinds, and blurring film, and waterproof curtains. All. Right away.
Cassie Moore says
BLIND ME! I don’t look the fish bowl look at my house!
Michelle Preiss says
BLIND ME!!
Courtney B says
BLIND ME!
I would like to block out some power lines!
Lauren Ryder says
BLIND ME! Our neighbors house sits catty corner to our house.. so it is more about hiding their view than ours!
Connie says
BLIND ME
Also, our current bathroom has a very large window that starts about a foot or so from the floor, and goes up higher than my head. This gives people on the street behind us a full body view when the existing (awful, terrible, old) miniblinds are not up. Suffice it to say, we keep them shut ALL the time, so we could really use something prettier.
Aimee M says
BLIND ME!
I would cover our bedroom windows, we have a street light that makes our bedroom VERY bright and dark is good!
Sara S says
BLIND ME!
My kitchen window overlooks my neighbor’s driveway – looking at their trash cans and clutter every night is getting old.

I just refinished my girl’s bedroom and I would love to replace the cheap metal blinds with some fun girly ones.

BLIND ME!
We’re purchasing a home without any window coverings on the entire first floor…
Michelle Callahan says
BLIND ME!!! We just moved into a new house and our master bedroom window faces the street. We need to treat these windows ASAP before I give our new neighbors a free show!
Rachael says
BLIND ME! I want to cover the window in our nursery to keep the light out and our little one asleep.
kathie says
BLIND ME! I’m tired of the metal blinds that came with our house and would love to replace them:)
laura R says
BLIND ME! I need some curtians that don’t look cheap and these look awesome. I will cross my fingers.
Heather79 says
BLIND ME!
Our living room window looks into our neighbors’ poorly covered bathroom window- eek!

The view I’d like to cover is the older neighbor next door who bends over to wash his car with his pants at half mast.
Leah Marie says
“Blind me!”
In our old house, we had a shower with a window in it. And let’s just say, that was awkward. For us and our neighbors.
Kimberly says
BLIND ME!
I went on a cruise once where I stayed in the cheapest room they offered–there wasn’t even a porthole window in the room. To make up for this (or I guess it was supposed to make up for it), the cruise line installed a lighted piece of super-tacky hotel art and hung curtains over it. Ew. Worst “view” ever.
Adria says
BLIND ME! We are expecting a new baby and we have a VERY bright street lamp just outside the window in the baby’s room that really needs covering.
Sara WW says
Blind me! My husband and I just bought a new house and ordered blinds from Next Day for 21 windows…but guess what, we forgot one door! This would be perfect.
Jaymie says
BLIND ME!
I’d love to cover up the view of our backyard which looks out right on to a major road. A privacy fence is definitely on the DIY list for this Spring!
