As our time in Portland comes to an end, we’re excited to share that the random winner of this very Oregonian prize is… Joyce (who would go all the way back to the late 1700s to check out the Constitutional Convention). Congrats Joyce!
Since we’re headed to Oregon this week, we thought we’d send a little bit of Oregon your way in return. So how does $500 in product from Portland-based Rejuvenation sound? They started off as an architectural salvage shop, but now they serve up authentic lighting, hardware, and other home staples from a whole slew of time periods and styles. We’re hoping to make an in-person stop at their store while in PDX, but for everyone else there’s plenty to browse online and by catalog. And with a handful of benjamins at your disposal, this is your shot to get a real statement piece for your space.
- PRIZE: $500 to spend at Rejuvenation
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “REJUVENATE ME” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … if you could travel back in time and live in any previous era, what would you choose? Wanna live (or relive) the 60’s or 70’s love-fest? Prefer to try on the glam flapper days of the 20’s? Or do you want to go really old school and see how the colonists lived?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 22nd at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The United States or Canada (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Rejuvenation.

REJUVINATE ME!
Let’s see…if I had a time machine I’d go back to one of two eras (I can’t decide!). I’ve always wanted to live in the Renaissance Age for the pretty dresses and the formal way of life (I’d want to be one of the rich folk…sounds rude, but I want the fancy dresses and to go to court, etc). On the other hand, my dad always called me and my sister his “little hippies” because we LOVE LOVE LOVE the music and fashion from the 60’s. I’m not necessarily all about the free love and drugs side of it, but let me tell you…I’d have rocked it out at Woodstock! :)
Hope you guys are having fun in Portland!

Since I poured over every page of the Rejuvenation catalog the last few days (utter coincidence), I would REJUVENATE ME by traveling back to the Deco Decor era of the early 1930s, but with a modernistic flair. My house in Minneapolis was built in the mid-late 1930s (before the war impacted construction quality). My existing dilapidated dining room fixture has some elements of Tessa A0749. I want to copy design elements contained in my existing dining room fixture: it contains two stacked inverted cones exactly like Blairmont A3420. The circular form of the stacked inverted cones in my existing fixture is very tres 1930s — but somewhat futuristic. I’d like to keep that “look and feel” in a new Rejuvenation dining room ceiling fixture that gives a nod to modernity but still fits with the mid-late 1930s. It will really REJUVENATE ME when that ol’ dining room ceiling fixture is re-mounted so that it hangs properly over the table! it currently is slightly off-center so that, in effect, it illuminates the walking path through the dining room and NOT the actual dining room table where we eat and where I work at home as a manager of large-scale water projects.
Rachel says
Rejuvenate me!!! I would totally go back to the late 50s early 60s. Lots of great color and pattern happening then. And can we just talk about the great clothing, too? Pretty dresses for ladies and polished suits with skinny ties for the gents–amazing.
