As our time in Portland comes to an end, we’re excited to share that the random winner of this very Oregonian prize is… Joyce (who would go all the way back to the late 1700s to check out the Constitutional Convention). Congrats Joyce!

Since we’re headed to Oregon this week, we thought we’d send a little bit of Oregon your way in return. So how does $500 in product from Portland-based Rejuvenation sound? They started off as an architectural salvage shop, but now they serve up authentic lighting, hardware, and other home staples from a whole slew of time periods and styles. We’re hoping to make an in-person stop at their store while in PDX, but for everyone else there’s plenty to browse online and by catalog. And with a handful of benjamins at your disposal, this is your shot to get a real statement piece for your space.

    Rejuvenate me! I would probably pick the 40s for the hair and fashions alone! Women were ladies in heels and still gloves (I think)–a total departure from my jeans and t-shirt every single day life right now! Would be interesting to know what it was like to live through the World Wars, too.

    REJUVENATE ME! I’d love to have a time machine and travel to any year I’d like. If I had to choose one, it would be 1950’s to see what my Portland ranch house looked like when it was shiny and new. Can’t wait to see john and Sherry in town this week!

    REJUVENATE ME! I would loved to visit the south in the precivil war days…but only if I had money and could attend all of the parties and see all of the beautiful homes like Scarlett O’Hara!

    Rejuvenate me!!! Can I just actually go back to 5 years ago, before kids so I can take one of those naps that used to be possible back then?!?!? Although, the 20’s and 30’s sounded like they’d of been interesting too :-)
