Wow. You guys are a lot more opinionated about the periodic table than I had assumed. Anyways, random.org selected the winner of this giveaway as… Andi W. (who likes Sodium for all of the salty snacks it provides, but admitted “My inner nerd wants to vote adamantium.”) Congrats Andi!

    My favorite is Beryllium. Because I love the movie Galaxy Quest. If you haven’t seen it, you really should.

    But I also think all the lanthanoids and actinoids are fun to say. Einsteinium…

    Oxygen…funny story….my son and I were watching Glee Project on the Oxygen channel and they ran a promo for the next episode, which gave away who got sent home on the episode we were watching. So Hunter says “I hate Oxygen. Not the element…I mean the channel.” :-)

    Mg ME!! Helium… because just last week I heard my brother in law breathe some in and say “IN THE NAME OF SCIENCE” and I laughed like a child. Maybe you had to be there.

    My favorite element on the periodic table would be “Chemistry” because I just started dating again after 23 years of marriage and I’m looking for a new man who I have “Chemistry” with.

    I’m going with H – Hydrogen! It’s light and flammable. My husband even did some [sketchy] at home electrolysis to gain some hydrogen to play with last year. (Power source, wire, water, carbon rods from old batteries, and a 2 liter bottle is all you need)

    I would have to go for Cu, Copper. Such a pretty metal! I am also from Arizona, “The Copper State”. Copper ages so beautifully, I love it when it is shiny and also when it develops that gorgeous turquoise patina.

    Mg Me! And favorite element is Curium…because it’s named after a woman! Lithium is a close second, because of Nirvana…obviously :)

    Back in the day when I was learning about the periodic table I figured out that my last name is Silver-Neon-Tungsten… yup, I was a nerd. :)
