Wow. You guys are a lot more opinionated about the periodic table than I had assumed. Anyways, random.org selected the winner of this giveaway as… Andi W. (who likes Sodium for all of the salty snacks it provides, but admitted “My inner nerd wants to vote adamantium.”) Congrats Andi!

    My last chemistry class was 15 (yikes!) years ago. I’ve kicked most periodic table information out of my brain. But I’ll say Hydrogen, because it’s number 1 (nice little pun, right?).

    Mg Me!! I’ll go with thorium, since it’s a lesser known element and it was an question on Jeopardy that I correctly answered (and my husband doubted me!). The answer had was that it is used on lantern mantels to help them burn longer (it’s also radioactive).
