It’s a shame we can’t take any major road trips right now (thanks to our wee one) since this week’s giveaway has us itching to head north to Kennebunkport, Maine. That’s because Spaces Kennebunkport– the shop behind today’s prize- embodies just the type of comfortable seaside home accents that Sherry and I love. Never mind that we can barely spell the name… we still want to eat up everything in their store. Have no fear if you also can’t make it out to K-town. Spaces Kennebunkport has an awesome
And not that we’re in the business of telling people how to spend their prize money, but here are some things we would totally snag for ourselves:

I’m originally from WI and about 20 years ago on a family trip to New England we stopped in Kennebunkport. We loved the name so much that my mom STILL calls my dad (who’s name is Ken) “Kenny-bunkport” as a term of endearment :)

PA has lots of funny town names, like Blue Ball, Intercourse, Climax (that’s it for the raunchy ones), Bird-in-Hand, Burnt Cabins and Gap I drove through on my way between college and home, and another one I occasionally drive through that always makes me smile is Lawn, PA. There’s also a town in PA called Jersey Shore, which is neither in New Jersey or on a shore.
One time I spotted a town in Florida called Aqui Esta, which means “hear it is” in Spanish – you can imagine that devolving into a “who’s on first?” style routine, like “So where are you from?” “Here It Is.” “Yeah, but what’s it called?” “Here It Is…” “Yes, but I’m asking you what’s the name of the town you live in!” etc.

I live on Deepkill Rd, in Haynersville
(kill is dutch for stream, so there are many ‘kills’ around – but folks outside of this area question it alot !, and Haynersville is associated with the Hayner clan that inhabited/s this area – all in upstate NY – think Adirondacks)
